Avatar n tn IHi, I'm a nutritionist. f this persists, make sure you see a doctor. If a regular doctor can't help you, go see a holistic doctor that does a test called a Heidelberg Gastrogram (google this). Even if you have fly out of state to have it done. Good luck!
Avatar f tn Actually many people with gastroparesis (slow stomach emptying) experience hunger. However, these people usually also experience nausea or vomiting after eating. I would recommend you try eating multiple small meals throughout the day and see if that helps.
458072 tn?1291415186 I've been on it for over 20 years and do just fine and a dose of .175 for almost 5 years which is a fairly hefty dose, The only health issues I'm starting to have is my good cholesteral is not so good anymore and my glucose is rising. My doctor says that those are directly related to my thyroid issues.
Avatar f tn It took me about a week or more to get my results...it shouldn't realistically take that long though I wound up calling my doctors office to find out they did get the results but that the doctor was out for a couple days so I'd suggest giving them a call. Also, don't worry stress about having or not having, you don't need that kind of worry. I wound up having gd and honestly from my personal experience so far it's not bad.
Avatar n tn d consider a nutritionist bringing your medical history to them. Also, there is something called bile acid reducing sequestrents that reduce cholesterol. .
Avatar n tn Hello FlJenn We are volunteers with a lot of experience in Type 1 diabetes. We're not medical professionals, so it's really important that you discuss specifics with your doc so s/he can work out a plan tailored to your needs. When we 'bottom out,' the fact is that we have a mismatch between the insulin on board and the insulin we need.
Avatar n tn Loss of appetite alone is not a symptom of pregnancy though, it can just be one of the many symptoms you can experience. It could also be a symptom of many other things.
Avatar f tn m on a low dose of glyburide at bedtime and just making sure I eat the right amount of carbs at the right times. Are you going to see a nutritionist or a maternal fetal medicine specialist? Seeing the nutritionist helped me a lot.
Avatar f tn I went to a nutritionist regarding my tiredness and weight loss. The nutritionist committed me to one month of perfect eating, sleeping, routine walks and no alcohol. After the month I was symptom free. No headaches, great energy, and the muscle aches have subsided. I've been maintaining the proper diet, sleep, walking and moderation on alcohol. The nutritionist suspected that I was using alcohol and pain releif in excess.
Avatar f tn My advice is to find a nutritionist and talk to them about it.
Avatar m tn A nutritionist I saw said I should definitely not have probiotics or kefir or fermented vegetables at this stage as it would make it even worse, so I haven't dared try. She also suggested I may have SIBO (small intestine bacterial overload), but the UK NHS seems very dismissive of this. I've tried FODMAP with no success, I even had a colonoscopy in case it was bowel cancer. The specialist says it should sort itself out with time, but I see no sign of any improvement.
Avatar f tn Everyone loses weight differently, have you spoken to your doctor about your goal in losing weight and even a nutritionist to see what their suggestions would be. I can tell you through experience what works for you may not work for everyone, so get medical advise on what your next plan of action should be, and I think its great that you exercise and follow a proper diet, thats a ratity anymore. And good luck.
Avatar f tn In fact, has your doctor referred you to a nutritionist? If there is no problem with your GI tract and you still have low Vitamin B12, a nutritionist may be able to help you get more in your diet. But first things first - find out from your doctor what he was testing for. Find out what he ruled out. And have him explain how he thinks the deficiency developed. Good luck and keep us posted!
Avatar f tn t give you specific guidelines or help in that area, ask for a referral to a nutritionist with experience in pregnancy counseling. Good luck!
Avatar n tn ok, it is no picnic by any means, but does anyone have experience with increased mental wrestling matches towards the end of treatment?? seems to be increasing in intolerability to sound, lights and ''humanoid'' contact. it is the ''don't go away mad, just go away'' philosophy. organic foods and a super nutritionist with a tops internist has made this mostly tolerable. this last part seems to get worse daily.
Avatar f tn range, but in spite of seeing a nutritionist and following the diet perfectly I am unable to lose weight, hair is thinning badly, and now I have developed these horrible bags under my eyes, and my eyelids are swollen. I believe I will have to pay the cost and go back to the brand name. Appointment soon with doctor to discuss this. The generic may work well for you, and my problems may be due to changing meds, but if you have any of these symptoms you might consider it.
Avatar m tn This was my first ever experience of weight training exercises and on the first day I tried almost everything I could, on my own, since no instructor was present that day. It was alright until I did a round of "Sit Ups" when I experienced a sudden sharp pain somewhere between my neck and right shoulder. I didn't go to gym on the next day. I applied some "wintergreen oil" balm and the pain subsided. I continued from the third day.
Avatar f tn I have a friend with Type 1 diabetes who wants to lose 10 pounds that she has gained over the years (subsequent to her diagnosis 25 years ago). She is unable to do so, because when her insulin becomes "low" she has to drink coca-cola to quickly restore sugar into her system (she uses an insulin pump to try to stabilize her blood glucose levels). My question is, has anyone out there with Type 1 diabetes tried to lose weight, and if so, what sort of diet did they follow?
139792 tn?1498585650 t consult with him to get a diet plan written for them by this man for a fee, right? He just writes about his experience in an effort to help others. That seems wrong that the law would get involved. And it is just because he isn't a nutritionist by profession?? That doesn't seem right!
5664897 tn?1375480696 Professional help thru an inpatient or intense outpatient program. A nutritionist and therapist are a must. This is rarely cured on your own.
Avatar f tn I've been sick most of my pregnancy. I've lost so much weight my eyes caved in. I could hardly keep even water down until around 20 weeks. I'm now 33 weeks and the morning sickness feels like it's starting all over again. I'm a ftm and so far my experience of being pregnant has been extremely traumatic. I don't know what to do.
Avatar f tn 4 months ago i came off the pill and my periods have been irregular every since, which i though would be normal first and second months but now im experience very tender breast but have done pregnancy test which keep coming back negative... are the irregular periods, tender breast, emotions and low b12 levels all connected??
Avatar n tn Thanks I heard that I just wondered how it affected pregnancy. My doctors office basically called me and told me I was diabetic this time I was hypoglycemic and that they would keep a close eye on me but didn't say anything else so I just wondered. And the last thing I want to do is google anything cuz its always worse case.
Avatar f tn t look pregnant whatsoever. The baby is growing gracefully. For me I have to go to a nutritionist every 3 weeks, gynecology every 2 weeks and for weight check every week or so. What I do is eat Nutella with crackers or a protein bar. My doctor told me to eat anything I could at this point. Overall peanutbutter, Nutella, oatmeal, milk are your buddies. You can also buy ensure. They have so many calories. I usually take one then go to sleep.
