Avatar f tn You want to eat whole grains, fruits, vegetables, avoid trans fat and bad carbs like white bread, opt for whole wheat instead. IF your doctor has cleared you for exercising, start with walking, you can do this anywhere and at your own pace. Also, it's best to eat very small healthy meals every 3-4 hours instead of 3 bigger ones. This keeps you full and your metabolism at it's peak! Good luck to you!
Avatar f tn Wic helps you get the nutrition you need by offering you cereal, milk, eggs beans bread, oatmeal, rice, fruit, vegetables, peanut butter, tuna fish, and other stuff for pregnant women. Avatar n tn Hi, If constipation is not normally a problem with you then it is probably the chemo. They just came out with a drug called Relister (that may not be the correct spelling). It is for people who are constipated due to medication. It is given in the form of an injection. See if you can find info on it on the web. Then, call your doctor TODAY. Tell him that your constipated and that this is not normal for you. Ask him if it is the chemo.
4965377 tn?1368754511 It may be worth talking to your doctor or a nutritionist. There are valuable vitamins, minerals and nutrients found in each of the food catergories that are important for a growing baby. They can help you substitute nutritious foods in place of the ones you don't want to eat for you to get enough nutrition.
Avatar m tn Have you been checked out for any food allergies, sensitivities, or Celiac Disease yet? If medical doctors can't seem to help, try a Naturopath and a Nutritionist. Very often they can help with natural treatments and nutrition where Western Medicine cannot.
Avatar f tn Eating is complicated, as there are as many theories of proper eating as there are people willing to share their thoughts about it. In your case, however, you need a doctor first, unless you abruptly stopped eating after delivery. If your weight has dramatically decreased more than the weight you put on due to pregnancy, and you're eating the same, something is going on that might not be at all related to your diet.
Business woman1 Thank you for your responses. I have a pass maker, on coumadin, blood pressure medication and I could be a diabetic but I watch what I eat and exercise. With the taking of coumadin you have to watch the green leafy vegetable. I shop at Trader Joes and I find the no salt added food there. I find it very hard to lose weight. I am not on a diuretic medication so I have to watch the salt diligently. For breakfast I would have two slices of No Salt whole wheat bread.

She has me on a high protein diet I'm very sensitive to carbs so for every meal wether is breakfast or snack, lunch or dinner I have to have protein. Avatar f tn Perhaps a visit to a holistic nutritionist would serve you better than a doctor, who knows nothing about nutrition, and if you get a good work-up your doc should know whether or not you have hypoglycemia. But again, just eating tuna has nothing to do with hypoglycemia, and the bread at Subway wouldn't be the best thing for a hypoglycemic.
Avatar n tn the type of exercise you are doing, the type of diet you eat, and your body may not be responding if you continue the same diet and exercise plan for an extended period. Consult a nutritionist or personal trainer at your gym for specific recommendations on how you could change your routine and see if that may help. As for the medication causing these effects, the only way to really tell is if you discontinue the medication and see if you notice a difference.
