Avatar m tn http://www.vaughns-1-pagers.com/food/potassium-foods.htm The following site breaks down the nutritional value of foods: http://ndb.nal.usda.gov/ Hope this helps!
Avatar f tn I was wondering at what to put the nutritional value of food over the amount of calories they contain. For example, I regulate my calories fairly closely and usually am always well under the daily recommended amount, but there are some days that I feel like I am hungry all day. As a general rule, I enjoy eating raw mixed nuts as a snack, but they tend to be high in calories.
1968945 tn?1325861675 blueberries, strawberries, applesauce without sugar, apples, bananas, pineapples, oranges, kiwis, raisins, dates, peaches, pears, broccoli, green beans (my own from my garden), tomatoes (my own), peppers, peas, carrots, snow peas, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, spinach, turnip greens, kale, onions, yellow squash, zucchini, mushrooms, etc. I am at fruit and vegetable eater! I drink 2% milk, also. So, I don't understand why those micro nutrients mentioned before appear as zero on my graph.
230262 tn?1316645934 tonight Im gonna have to do a large garden salad, steamed or stir fried fresh green beans, snap sweet peas (both in the pods for the young ones and just the peas from the mature ones), brocolli, carrots, egglpant, zuchini, yellow squash and red and green cabbage LOL also i got some fresh delicious tomoatoes from the farm down the road and their cukes too.
Avatar n tn Juice covers a lot -- virtually anything can be juiced if you're doing this yourself. Fruit juices contain a lot of sugar, but can also be powerful antioxidants, but vegetable juices can be very valuable. Wheatgrass juice is great. So this depends on what you mean by nutritional juices. Most important, avoid anything that's not organic. When you juice anything, you use a lot of it, and that enhances the amount of harmful chemicals that exist on whatever you're juicing.
230262 tn?1316645934 yummy, that sounds good too, you guys! I just got done making "3" bean salad too. I put extra stuff in it besides the kidney beans, green beans and yellow wax beans (which came outta the garden too, omg they are sooo much better than canned beans lol). I also put in green bell pepper, fresh broccolli, sweet red onion and cucumbers with the vinegar/olive oil/sugar/salt/pepper dressing and boil it 5 mins so the sugar emulsifies. Its sooo good that way!
8793709 tn?1409594060 I do the same as you, except that when hubby gets home I turn the stove back on to reheat it instead of microwave. I believe that even if it loses a little bit of the nutritional value, it's still healthier and cheaper than ordering or eating out.
Avatar m tn The situation remains unchanged, no evacuation from Sunday 26 evening, when begins yellow soiling with a small diarrea, now continues small losses sometimes yellow sometimes orange, which never flows, but dirty only the anus.
Avatar f tn I use to have a poodle that did this on a regular basis. That was until I started giving him a bedtime snack. I felt like he had to go too long from dinner to his morning meal, and ended up with a empty stomach also, vomiting yellow bile in the mornings. You might do a check on Purina Beneful. I just looked up the ingredients and didn't see anything of nutritional value listed. Well, maybe the peas and carrots?
325405 tn?1262290178 I think if you freeze it, you would take away from the nutritional value. You could get the same nutritional value from eating bean sprouts on a salad. Would be easier for you.
1417802 tn?1282173063 Sorry to hear about your treatment not being effective.are you going to be treating again with the new DAA"s that are going to be coming out soon? There are many elixir"s and supplements people are taking for nutritional value and some it seems have value in regards to keeping liver counts (enzyme )readings lower. If the Hepa feels their is no harm ,and markers don"t rise..then yes nothing to lose Keep us informed and good luck.. Will.
Avatar f tn I'm 11 weeks and my urine is always dark yellow. It's not my prenatals either. Is this normal??
Avatar f tn This is also what they recommend to patients to build them up prior to surgery, and some people drink a can a day just for the nutritional value. Keep us posted, we're here for you.
Avatar f tn night time is the only time im not nauseated an when i am nauseated i cant eat nothing sounds good so i puke up yellow stomach bile that sometimes looks like yellow squash soup (ewww i know) lol but its true! An the dark green flakys?
Avatar f tn Last night my hands were fine, took a shower went to bed, woke up with very yellow stains on my hands, almost as if yellow was sweated out because when I washed them it washed off but stained my hands leaving more faded yellow patches. There was absolutely nothing I was around to do this, especially before bed. My left hand was worse then my right hand.
Avatar m tn I am curious if I am still getting the same nutritional value from the uncooked oats as if I were cooking them?
Avatar f tn I am saddened when I see people buy a 50-pound bag of inferior bargain brand food that the bird will not finish for years. That food would have no practical nutritional value and I feel very badly for the pet bird. Even leaving a bag of food in a hot car will change the nutritional value of the food and lose most of its vitamins as well. Also, whenever you introduce a new diet to your pet, you want to do it gradually.
Avatar f tn Generally, you should try to eat things that have varied nutritional value and things considered 'healthy' but some cheesecake here and there doesn't hurt.
374652 tn?1494811435 making yellow dal soup w/ fresh Tumeric, butternut squash, sweet potato, garam masala, carrots & red potato, I've got 20 more minutes to see what it tastes like, My Tibetan doctor said the tumeric is very good for the liver, yellow dal is easy to digest, and the rest are high in antioxidants and cooling for the system. the cumin is OK during the winter and cardamon is also good. Artichokes are good, anyway, smells great.
1544053 tn?1328691992 My dog likes apples. I give her about a 1/4 apple, cut into tiny pieces as treats. At apple time, she often picks her own from the low branches of the trees in the orchard! So I make sure she doesn't get any apple seeds too because they are toxic. Grapes are definitely toxic for dogs. NO grapes! Raisins are the same, ditto sultanas, currants, etc. I've heard of dogs who like bananas, but mine doesn't. Corn....
Avatar f tn You can eat them but you have to eat some thing else with them because they have NO nutritional value for you or baby.
3232858 tn?1437130677 I totally agree with everything Paxiled said. The first thing we need to know is whether or not you are taking replacement thyroid hormones to get/keep your thyroid levels under control. As Paxiled noted, adequate thyroid medication will go a long way toward helping get things back on the right track. Hashimoto's is the most common cause of hypothyroidism in the developed world, so if you haven't determined the cause of your thyroid condition, this would be a good time to do that.
Avatar m tn I hate to be like this but most of the items (if not all) the items listed consist of total unhealthy junk food with zero nutritional value. It is clear the person put a lot of time and research into the list but I am just saying.
