Avatar f tn Hello! Dental abscesses require treatment from a dentist. In order to ease pain, until you're able to see a dentist, I would recommend trying vanilla extract, which is a pretty common ingredient in most kitchens. You can use the vanilla extract in two ways. First, dab a small amount of it on your finger and rub the throbbing tooth and gum area. Second, apply a small amount of vanilla extract to a cotton ball and place it on the affected area. Repeat two or three times per day.
Avatar f tn I've never heard of using vanilla extract to help with a tooth ache. I've heard of home remedies such as tea bags. Have you tried using a mouthwash or rinsing rigorously in the area? Obviously you need to see a dentist to get it evaluated because the tooth pain indicate that there's most likely a cavity that's fairly deep. It may be big enough that foods getting stuck in there and causing a salty taste.
Avatar n tn I think I am allergic to vanilla extract or eggs but I can't be sure. For as long as I can remember, I havn't been able to eat cookies, cake, cupcakes, brownies, custard icecream, and vanilla ice cream in general. For some reason, I am able to eat short bread cookies and soft serve ice cream without getting my allergic reaction. What happens, is my throat swells up almost immediately, only to the point where it's uncomfortable to swallow.
Avatar m tn These may be used in cooking, for example, vanilla extract, and in health care as herbal teas or tinctures. The various techniques that have been developed over the centuries extract active constituents from the herb, to make them available to the body. The traditional herb tea is water extract, either an infusion or a decoction, that easily extracts the water soluble constituents in the plant.
Avatar f tn I was wondering at what to put the nutritional value of food over the amount of calories they contain. For example, I regulate my calories fairly closely and usually am always well under the daily recommended amount, but there are some days that I feel like I am hungry all day. As a general rule, I enjoy eating raw mixed nuts as a snack, but they tend to be high in calories.
Avatar n tn Try rubbing vanilla extract on it
Avatar f tn Chocolate and coffee both have alkaloids that people can be intolerant to, rarely allergic (I'm one of the the rare, I'll end up in the hospital if I eat alkaloids) With vanilla, you'd have to determine if if is vanilla extract (which is a seed pod from an orchid plant) or artificial vanilla, which is derived from the beaver anal glands. You could be intolerant to the plant or the anal glands.
Avatar n tn Juice covers a lot -- virtually anything can be juiced if you're doing this yourself. Fruit juices contain a lot of sugar, but can also be powerful antioxidants, but vegetable juices can be very valuable. Wheatgrass juice is great. So this depends on what you mean by nutritional juices. Most important, avoid anything that's not organic. When you juice anything, you use a lot of it, and that enhances the amount of harmful chemicals that exist on whatever you're juicing.
Avatar f tn really.. you check even the vanilla extract label ? ok, it is up to each one and i respect each decision but i don't see it that way... my limit is only one drink and only once or twice per month,.. sometimes i don't drink any alcohol in a month and so far, i haven't had any problems with this. But i see where are you going, opening a gate is always a danger and i would not advice any one to drink even one when going out cause this one could be the first and not the last .

8793709 tn?1409594060 I do the same as you, except that when hubby gets home I turn the stove back on to reheat it instead of microwave. I believe that even if it loses a little bit of the nutritional value, it's still healthier and cheaper than ordering or eating out.
Avatar f tn Herbal Methods - There are also some natural herbs out there that are said to help with sleep. Avatar n tn Will broccoli seed extract capsules interfere with Arimidex if I take them both? Apparently broccoli seed extract is also an aromatase inhibitor. I am on Arimidex and blood tests indicate that it is working, as my estrogen levels are low. But a 24-hour urine test prescribed by an M.D. with a holistic practice showed a problem in one of my estrogen pathways, and recommended a broccoli seed extract with SGS (sulforaphane glucosinolate). Might it enhance or interfere with Arimidex?
