1544053 tn?1328691992 My dog likes apples. I give her about a 1/4 apple, cut into tiny pieces as treats. At apple time, she often picks her own from the low branches of the trees in the orchard! So I make sure she doesn't get any apple seeds too because they are toxic. Grapes are definitely toxic for dogs. NO grapes! Raisins are the same, ditto sultanas, currants, etc. I've heard of dogs who like bananas, but mine doesn't. Corn....
Avatar n tn Breed specific feeds are developed for that particular breeds nutritional requirements. Why are they feeding corn flakes? In any event, corn can be diffcult to digest. I currently feed Progressive Premium Performance feed which has no corn.
Avatar f tn That's a starvation diet that has no nutritional value whatsoever. It makes no sense and I'd never condone it.
787406 tn?1339203183 sweet (literally) i'm trying to fix my problem too... probably pear juice is working for you because it's super high in fructose, fact the top two fruits with fructose is apples and pears..which a normal person if they drink high amounts of fructose (without sucrose..table sugar) your body usually can only handle about 80 grams before it causes diarrhea issues..
Avatar m tn Thnx very much for the post. I am 50 years, male, with episodes of tachycardia of unknown cause. Therefore the worry about the supplement. Weight training seems to worsen the tachycardia. I was wondering if supplements would strengthen the heart, or harm it.
Avatar f tn I was wondering at what to put the nutritional value of food over the amount of calories they contain. For example, I regulate my calories fairly closely and usually am always well under the daily recommended amount, but there are some days that I feel like I am hungry all day. As a general rule, I enjoy eating raw mixed nuts as a snack, but they tend to be high in calories.
Avatar n tn Juice covers a lot -- virtually anything can be juiced if you're doing this yourself. Fruit juices contain a lot of sugar, but can also be powerful antioxidants, but vegetable juices can be very valuable. Wheatgrass juice is great. So this depends on what you mean by nutritional juices. Most important, avoid anything that's not organic. When you juice anything, you use a lot of it, and that enhances the amount of harmful chemicals that exist on whatever you're juicing.
Avatar n tn I have been on Gleevec since Oct. of 2000. I was in one of the original clinical trials for it, and I am still on it to this day. I am doing very well with it, and you can ask me any questions you might have.
Avatar m tn I hate to be like this but most of the items (if not all) the items listed consist of total unhealthy junk food with zero nutritional value. It is clear the person put a lot of time and research into the list but I am just saying.
Avatar n tn You need to get calories from nutritious foods! Add small meals or large snacks in-between breakfast, lunch and dinner. Eat appetizers and desserts, too, when you can. Don't fill up on liquids, especially those with few or no calories. Drink after you've eaten. Drink 100 percent fruit juice, which offers calories and nutritional value, rather than sugary sodas or sports drinks. Replace a serving or two of whole fruit with fruit juice, as it contains many more calories.
8793709 tn?1409594060 I do the same as you, except that when hubby gets home I turn the stove back on to reheat it instead of microwave. I believe that even if it loses a little bit of the nutritional value, it's still healthier and cheaper than ordering or eating out.
Avatar f tn I use to have a poodle that did this on a regular basis. That was until I started giving him a bedtime snack. I felt like he had to go too long from dinner to his morning meal, and ended up with a empty stomach also, vomiting yellow bile in the mornings. You might do a check on Purina Beneful. I just looked up the ingredients and didn't see anything of nutritional value listed. Well, maybe the peas and carrots?
1417802 tn?1282173063 i have been on the Interferon and peg intron, and it didn't work. my partner says the Eniva lowered all his liver counts.his Hep Doc backed him up as to the nutritional value of the elixer.i'm going to give it a try for 60 days. What do i have to lose? keep all updated.
Avatar f tn But to be realistic, ingredients located this far down the list (other than nutritional supplements) are not likely to have much of an effect on the overall rating of this product. With two notable exceptions… First, we find no mention of probiotics… friendly bacteria applied to the surface of the kibble after processing. And finally, the minerals here do not appear to be chelated. And that can make them more difficult to absorb.
325405 tn?1262290178 I think if you freeze it, you would take away from the nutritional value. You could get the same nutritional value from eating bean sprouts on a salad. Would be easier for you.
Avatar f tn Haha te sodium is bad whether your pregnant or not but it's fine every so often

Avatar f tn You can eat them but you have to eat some thing else with them because they have NO nutritional value for you or baby.
Avatar n tn The sixth ingredient is corn syrup. Corn syrup consists mainly of glucose… a sugar capable of causing an unhealthy rise in a dog’s blood sugar. The seventh ingredient is wheat middlings… commonly known as “wheat mill run”. Though it may sound fairly wholesome, wheat mill run is actually a inexpensive by-product of cereal grain processing. In reality, middlings are nothing more than milling dust and floor sweepings. After water, we find animal digest.
Avatar n tn My two month old son is having chronic problems with constipation. I tried breast feeding him but I had to supplement with a bottle and gave up after a month and went to all formula due to not producing enough milk (I have PCOS and was only producing about an ounce between both breasts despite frequent feedings and pumping.) When he was being partially breast fed, his stools were normal and of normal frequency and he was having at least one a day.
