1544053 tn?1328691992 My dog likes apples. I give her about a 1/4 apple, cut into tiny pieces as treats. At apple time, she often picks her own from the low branches of the trees in the orchard! So I make sure she doesn't get any apple seeds too because they are toxic. Grapes are definitely toxic for dogs. NO grapes! Raisins are the same, ditto sultanas, currants, etc. I've heard of dogs who like bananas, but mine doesn't. Corn....
Avatar f tn That's a starvation diet that has no nutritional value whatsoever. It makes no sense and I'd never condone it.
Avatar f tn The fresher the fruits and vegetables, the better nutritional value. If your mother is concerned, suggest going to your MD and getting your blood tested. It will indicate if any nutrient, vitamin or mineral is deficient or not. Thank you for your question.
1968945 tn?1325861675 blueberries, strawberries, applesauce without sugar, apples, bananas, pineapples, oranges, kiwis, raisins, dates, peaches, pears, broccoli, green beans (my own from my garden), tomatoes (my own), peppers, peas, carrots, snow peas, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, spinach, turnip greens, kale, onions, yellow squash, zucchini, mushrooms, etc. I am at fruit and vegetable eater! I drink 2% milk, also. So, I don't understand why those micro nutrients mentioned before appear as zero on my graph.
Avatar f tn ve noticed the pain in my neck subsides and the pain was gone already, but still I wen to my doctor yesterday to make sure, when my doctor press my throat still have small nodule like about size of green peas. (from size of grape into now just small like green peas). But then, he still prescribed me to take Levothyroxine sodium - euthyrox 100 mcg. I'm just wondering 100mcg is not too much for me for my normal TSH and T4? Why still I have to take medicine?
Avatar m tn We always had pork, black eyed peas, and something green. Green is for money in the New Year! Never had fish and I am a Yankee.
Avatar f tn I was wondering at what to put the nutritional value of food over the amount of calories they contain. For example, I regulate my calories fairly closely and usually am always well under the daily recommended amount, but there are some days that I feel like I am hungry all day. As a general rule, I enjoy eating raw mixed nuts as a snack, but they tend to be high in calories.
Avatar n tn Juice covers a lot -- virtually anything can be juiced if you're doing this yourself. Fruit juices contain a lot of sugar, but can also be powerful antioxidants, but vegetable juices can be very valuable. Wheatgrass juice is great. So this depends on what you mean by nutritional juices. Most important, avoid anything that's not organic. When you juice anything, you use a lot of it, and that enhances the amount of harmful chemicals that exist on whatever you're juicing.
Avatar f tn I use to have a poodle that did this on a regular basis. That was until I started giving him a bedtime snack. I felt like he had to go too long from dinner to his morning meal, and ended up with a empty stomach also, vomiting yellow bile in the mornings. You might do a check on Purina Beneful. I just looked up the ingredients and didn't see anything of nutritional value listed. Well, maybe the peas and carrots?
Avatar f tn Also, dried beans and peas are very inexpensive and furnish you with lots of protein and fiber. Pinto beans and split green peas are two of my favorites. They are also easy to cook. If you have a slow cooker just put a cup of pintos or green peas in it along with just little bit of ham (small amount for flavoring) maybe a little garlic and let it cook while your gone and it will be really good when you return.. I do chop up a little onion in my pinto beans. They also take longer to cook...
8793709 tn?1409594060 I do the same as you, except that when hubby gets home I turn the stove back on to reheat it instead of microwave. I believe that even if it loses a little bit of the nutritional value, it's still healthier and cheaper than ordering or eating out.
551885 tn?1300383822 Colter loves everything so far except green beans and squash. He loves his peas, but hates those silly green beans. Do I keep trying to get him to eat them or just settle with the fact that he likes other stuff? I have tried for 3 days in a row three different times and now he just wont even open his mouth, or cries and spits it out. Everything else is like a treat to him. Anyone know what to do??

325405 tn?1262290178 I think if you freeze it, you would take away from the nutritional value. You could get the same nutritional value from eating bean sprouts on a salad. Would be easier for you.
1417802 tn?1282173063 Sorry to hear about your treatment not being effective.are you going to be treating again with the new DAA"s that are going to be coming out soon? There are many elixir"s and supplements people are taking for nutritional value and some it seems have value in regards to keeping liver counts (enzyme )readings lower. If the Hepa feels their is no harm ,and markers don"t rise..then yes nothing to lose Keep us informed and good luck.. Will.
Avatar f tn Vegan meats and cheeses you find at stores are not only expensive but really have no nutritional value (and the cheese usually has cows milk protien oddly enough). Also duck eggs are expensive but a great replacement for chicken eggs and are more filling. Good luck! I also have low iron which is weird bc I didnt for my first 2 pregnancies.
Avatar n tn • iron - in meat, liver, green vegetables, dried fruit, pulses (eg chick peas and lentils) and fortified foods such as some breakfast cereals and bread • vitamin B12 - in meat, milk, cheese, eggs and fortified foods such as some breakfast cereals and bread.
