First, I would recommend that he get on stable nutrition. This could be done by turning the NG into an NJ (which is a pretty easy procedure usually done in IR). Hopefully this will help him tolerate feedings better. The unexplained diarrhea is probably caused by the c diff. The vomiting might be caused by the antibiotics he is on for the c diff/infections/sepsis.

This post is just a heads up on it so I won't go into what can be done about it, just say that it can be fixed and for most people it is not that difficult to fix, but it does require intervention.

I have told I have to wait a month to have a stress test and a echocardiogram to more accurately diagnose Left Ventricular Hypertrophy. I have mild concentric LVH but for several reasons have never been treated for it other than to take blood pressure meds. Does a month seem like too long to wait? I am asking because I am considering going to a different doctor who can make sure I can have the stress test sooner.

Almost no starch (bread, pasta, potatoes, rice, etc) and very little fruit -- maybe one portion three times a week. With this diet -- and copious amounts of exercise -- Ive lost ten pounds, brought my cholesterol down from 200 to 150 and normalized my bp from pre-hypertensive.
It is a life saver if there is no other way to get nutrition. I may be back on TPN iindefinetly because of severe dumping and gastroparesis. Right now I am on nJ-tube feeding because I am unable to take much at orally. TPN can cause a lot of complications besides line infections. But with good doctors, they do monitor and your little one can do good.
