Also had one and a half feet small bowel removed. That op was 10 years ago. I've had no problems from day one which is fantastic. I feel the ache pain is connected to my UC because my bleeding as become much more frequent, ive recently been informed that I have inflammation in my small bowel.

It has been 17 years since I had UC but at that time my understanding was that UC only affects the large colon and rectum and Crohn's can go anywhere in your digestive tract. I had been sick with UC for 10 years and perforated in the hospital (believe it or not it is not the safest place to be - nurses don't like to listen) and had a total colectomy.

UC cures are hard to find and tideous to make. The only way to cure UC is through the modern tamiflu. UC is really part of the hidden virus gene that can mutate into a worse case such as HIV or SARS. Beware of radiational leaks in Japan. The radiation also can cause diseases similar to UC.
