Today, I snacked on quaker oatmeal squares when I felt nauseated - and that symptom just started today - ugh. I feel like I have already gained a lot of weight even though I am only 6 weeks along - I was between 115-120lbs when I got pregnant so maybe the small amount of weight I gained seems like more, who knows.

Add dry milk to oatmeal, mashed potatoes, gravies, creamed vegetables, and creamed soups (add additional protein sources to soups such as meat). Use all fat dairy products and no low fat foods so he has the calories he needs. Remember to relax at meals and just give him the foods he wants.

Avatar f tn I am addicted to eating raw oatmeal mixed with almonds or sunflower seeds ,etc. yeah, I know, its supposed to be good for you, not to this extent. I comsume approximately a half box a day, once i get started it seems that i can't stop, even if it causes indigestion or diarrhea. I have had a cocaine addition in the past (15 years ago), as well as an alcohol addiction that lasted almost 20 yrs. Ive been clean from that for 2 years. Has any one else ever heard of such a thing?
1827931 tn?1317905317 It is not gone, but if I watch what I eat and how late I eat, it is much better than it was before the oatmeal. I still cannot say 100% that the oatmeal is what helps, but nothing else has changed in my diet. I will not even stop the oatmeal for testing purposes, if it seems to works I will stick with it. I just wanted to reduce my food intake at work. A heavy lunch was killing my comfort level while working. Then I found this side benefit. Can oatmeal really help this much?

1123156 tn?1338863369 Make sure you are offering him formula after every meal. Formula or breast milk gives babies all they need, so as long as he is taking in that he should be fine. You should talk to your doctor about discontinuing the foods that give him diarrhea until he is older.

Full of all kinds of things that a dog has no need for and cannot process....It's really a Joke! Not your fault of course....... What's the likelihood that will happen? Infinitesimal, at best. As for oatmeal, oatmeal is always partially cooked or else it's not oatmeal -- the uncooked version is the whole oat, or oat groat, which takes a long time to cook.

It is normal to not eat if you have morning sickness & if your nauseous. Whenever you eat your first meal of the day, most don't eat the whole thing. I'm 24 weeks and when I eat breakfast, it had to be small or I won't finish it.

Avatar f tn Think smoothies with protein powder and fresh fruit in them. Drink some nutrition. Even like Ensure or those types of drinks give a lot of nutrition in a sip. Are you losing weight? Are you highly stressed? That can be one reason to lose appetite. Are you on any medications? If you are gaining weight even with this appetite issue, it could be a slow thyroid. Do you have gastroparesis? And one I'd be really suspicious of is irritable bowel syndrome.
Avatar f tn Watch the Food network for ideas. Avoid the greasy stuff. go online for meal ideas. You will never be hungry on the LA diet. It's a lifestyle. Try some vegetarian dishes. Learn to cook up a storm and leave some leftovers to eat for when the tx is making you tired. Maybe google LA diet menu. It's just the basic pyramid like diet. Only one soda allowed per day. I don't drink soda. Bad for the liver. Oatmeal for breakfast? heck even pancakes have tons of iron in them.

Avatar n tn Cinnamon helps regulate the sugar levels.. it absorbs sugar. ...thats why diabetics do.... eat oatmeal and add one tbsp of ground cinnamon... do it twice a day.. it will help... I know about nutrition so pls take my advice...

Avatar f tn Oatmeal! Make stove top oatmeal, not instant because it isn't whole oats. I eat oatmeal every morning and since I started I went from nursing on demand and pumping 8oz a day to nursing and pumping 12-13oz a day!
