454046 tn?1244565593 I lived on fruit smooothies, pasta with unsalted sauce, bread from a bakery that didn't use iodine, and baked potatoes with salsa. It got old REAL fast! Also, I always made sure I had a baggie with unsalted almonds and an apple in my purse so if I was out and got hungry I could have something. I tried to eat that natural peanut butter stuff but I'm here to tell you that that stuff is NOT peanut butter! It's oil and goo. If you can eat it, more power to you!
425199 tn?1313068997 That would be the most amazing thing ever if they had to print iodized salt used on the labels. I don't know how we would check that. I'm going to do some research, though! Thank you, Kipland!!!!!!! =) Thyca's cookbook does say that kosher salt is okay, as is any other non-iodized salt. When I was reading labels today, it was either "salt" or "sea salt" (which is a no-no, too), but nothing else.

Avatar f tn My favourite things to snack on are celery and cheese, plain unsalted potato chips, and peanut butter cookies (homemade, not store bought, theres waaay too much sugar in the packaged ones) For breakfast, toast and jam, oatmeal, scrambled eggs, home fries, dinner and lunch usually consists of a white meat, some form of potatoes, carrots or turnip, bland is usually best, but if you are having an okay day so far be adventurous and try something you didn't like before!
Avatar f tn My doctor says not to worry but I feel weak and tired. I am also worried my baby might not get enough nutrition. Any eating advice?
5249831 tn?1407713726 I agree. That's why I limit myself. I was taught moderation and portion control. I eat natural unsalted peanut butter, yum! I'm allergic to nuts so it's a treat for me.
Avatar m tn -)), and protein bars/shakes with banana or peanut butter as snacks in between. The trick is to sneak in calories where you can. On the days that you hectic schedule doesn't leave you much time to cook, meal replacement shakes will be a big help. Here's a good link: http://ca.askmen.com/sports/bodybuilding/45_fitness_tip.html All the best.

For me anything tangy helps then sweet. The first thing before you get out of bed have few crackers, and get up slowly. It helps a little with the nausea. Hope that helps!!

Avatar f tn They advise to do the riba with fat for absorption, so a lot of people use peanut butter. My diet changed drastically on treatment. I generally do a no sugar, high on veggies, lots of fat, lots of soy, lots of fish, chicken, meat, cheese, kind of diet. Really spicy food. During treatment, I ate ice cream and drank milk to the exclusion of any other food pretty much. It was all I could keep down, and I couldnt stand spicy food. It hurt my mouth. I gained forty lbs.

603946 tn?1333941839 Recipe #1 Mix 1/2 cooked sticky rice (sushi rice) cooked in unsalted butter with 1/2 HIGH fat hamburger or dark meat chicken (lower in phosphorus than white meat). Add two cooked egg whites (no yolk) per cup. You can make as large a batch as needed and freeze for daily portions. Save the egg shells, and add back one teaspoon of egg shell (dry overnight, grind in a coffee bean grinder) per two pounds of food. The egg shell is good for calcium and also acts as a phosphorus binder.
975263 tn?1283467568 , a good idea would be that if you still have him on a bottle you give him a sippy cup instead, and I agree with your Doctor finger foods , let him eat by himself, put up some nutricious foods onto a plate, cheerios or similar Cereal for breakfast, yoghort, let him have his own spoon, you can clear up the mess thats okay, sometimes slices of toast with peanut butter and jelly.
Avatar f tn But am confused about the nutrition fact they write in the box of food (rice for example) they say nutrition facts for 100 g but is it like 100g of boiled rice or the uncooked product ? I guess there's a difference because when you use dry product you need for example two cups but if you use cooked rice you may need a cup ... Since it sucked water and its heavier so .. Any thoughts or maybe am dumb lol ! Thank you .
Avatar f tn Eat small meals throughout the day... Crackers, toast, jello etc. Usually stuff that settles stomachs during a stomach bug will help with the nausea... I'm ten weeks as of tomorrow and have been quite sick but if I eat snacks like toast and crackers I'm set. Also try eating unsalted saltine crackers BEFORE getting out of bed first thing in the morning, it will help ease the nausea...

Avatar m tn Heart Healthy diet which is a moderate fat diet and a moderate fat diet means = using polyunsaturated (omega 3, corn oil, nuts, etc) fats and monounsaturated (olive oil, canola oil, peanut oil, etc) fats, no saturated fats (high fat snack foods, butter, fat spreads) and no trans fats.
Avatar n tn You can also do the peanut butter on celery, pears, etc. Be sure to limit the peanut butter, since it has a LOT of fat, but it's also got protein, which along with the fat, will help you feel more satisfied. Chips are my downfall, as well, because they give me that satisfying crunch and we do have them in the house, because my husband is tall and thin and can eat whatever he wants. Grrrr....... Same goes for the chips, though - grab some nuts or seeds.
