Avatar n tn I usually eat fairly healthy anyways, but I have been more conscious about making sure I get more fruits/veggies. Today, I snacked on quaker oatmeal squares when I felt nauseated - and that symptom just started today - ugh. I feel like I have already gained a lot of weight even though I am only 6 weeks along - I was between 115-120lbs when I got pregnant so maybe the small amount of weight I gained seems like more, who knows.
Avatar f tn I always eat granola bars and I don't have any problems...I like the chocolate chip ones from Quaker oats.

Avatar f tn In a 16oz large glass use 3 heaping tablespoons of oats bran powder (Quaker Hot cereal in a red box Orin bulk at the health food store) Mix with a smoothie of your choice, if you include frozen or fresh fruit and yogurt with juice that is full breakfast. Use a blender, for beat results or just mix with a spoon. After drinking this, follow it with a warm 16oz glass of warm liquid of your choice. Tea, coffee or hot water.
Avatar m tn Steel cut oats are partially cooked so they can be cut, but eating them uncooked will make them impossible to digest. At best, they're passing through, worthless, at worst, they're getting stuck somewhere. Why would you want to eat partially raw oats? If you want the fiber, put oat bran in your shake. Not nutritional value, but it will provide soluble fiber that helps with cholesterol.
Avatar f tn Just want to say, if it only takes 10 minutes you're not cooking oats, you're cooking rolled oats, and probably quick oats at that, meaning they're already partially cooked and much of the fiber is gone. Whole oats take about an hour to cook. And if you have to add sugar or honey, you're not buying good quality oats -- oats are naturally sweet and don't really need any added sugar.
645800 tn?1466860955 Language and speech and communication are very complex tasks that I'm sure require a combined effort from many parts of the brain. Sometimes it even seems to go best if two brains work it out together. Twins and old married people sometimes seem do this without thinking. You and your friend must have a lot of history. After having a brain hemorrhage my mother had to regain speak that had been entirely lost for weeks.
7677085 tn?1395374075 I get a quart of water, add 2 cups of quaker oats in it and refrigerate it over night. The water comes out thicker and has a really good "almond milk" taste to it. It's ny favorite and it's really refreshing! It's also really good to drink when you're breastfeeding. Oatmeal helped me produce sooooo much milk!
Avatar f tn But am confused about the nutrition fact they write in the box of food (rice for example) they say nutrition facts for 100 g but is it like 100g of boiled rice or the uncooked product ? I guess there's a difference because when you use dry product you need for example two cups but if you use cooked rice you may need a cup ... Since it sucked water and its heavier so .. Any thoughts or maybe am dumb lol ! Thank you .

Avatar f tn I suggest you eat frequent small meals and stop counting calories. Take up lots of fresh fruits, vegetables, oats and other whole grain products and lean meat and take carbohydrates in moderation and limit fat and sugar. Week by week slowly increase the exercise which should include both aerobics and strength training. Drink plenty of water and non fattening fluids such as clear soups etc. Look for hidden calories in salads and soups and avoid them (eg: cheese, butter, dressings etc).

Avatar n tn My grandma had told my mom of the most amazing cure that saved me. If you have the latter symptoms, buy a tub of plain quaker oats oatmeal. Fill a warm/hot bath no higher than a foot deep and toss in all the oatmeal. Sit in the bath and you will literally start feeling the effects right away. And since there is such a high concentration of oatmeal to water ratio compared to what you would use to eat, it should not clog your drains. Just let the water run for a couple minutes afterwards.

Avatar f tn The most important is self-care. Eating good nutrition, drinking plenty of water, decreasing caffeine (a stimulant). Exercise, even if it's just getting up and dancing or going for a good walk. Rest when you need to. Listen to your body. Distraction when the anxiety is creeping in - turn on some music, call a friend and talk it out, get up and go walk. But most importantly is retraining your brain. "This is just anxiety. 660872 tn?1238641245 I think oats are ok for dogs. I used to give mine a 'working-dog' mix which contained rolled oats. If she's drinking plenty of water, then the oats will be ok, but not so nice inside her if she hasn't had a good drink. I'm afraid most dogs will snaffle anything they can get their teeth into. Mine hoovers up around the bird-table. That's become her hobby. I feel more sorry for the chickens! How to stop her eating the chicken feed? There's only one sure-fire way.
