Avatar f tn But am confused about the nutrition fact they write in the box of food (rice for example) they say nutrition facts for 100 g but is it like 100g of boiled rice or the uncooked product ? I guess there's a difference because when you use dry product you need for example two cups but if you use cooked rice you may need a cup ... Since it sucked water and its heavier so .. Any thoughts or maybe am dumb lol ! Thank you .

I want to ask how can you calculate sodium from something you eat? If I buy a box of poptarts for example and it says 30MG, does each poptart have 30mgs of sodium or is that the amount for the whole box in all? Also is I buy a red baron pizza and it says 800mgs of sodium how do u calculate how much sodium in eating if I only eat 2 slices?

I don't drink soda, eat sugar, don't eat a lot of carbs (if I do it's whole wheat or brown rice). I just started doing hill sprints with a group two times a week. What should I tweek to see results?
975263 tn?1283467568 , a good idea would be that if you still have him on a bottle you give him a sippy cup instead, and I agree with your Doctor finger foods , let him eat by himself, put up some nutricious foods onto a plate, cheerios or similar Cereal for breakfast, yoghort, let him have his own spoon, you can clear up the mess thats okay, sometimes slices of toast with peanut butter and jelly.

2000931 tn?1401563007 Beans and rice of any kind are very limited. I blow up like a balloon I am now gluten and lactose free. I can't eat potatoes, bananas, mangos, cauliflower, broccoli, and pineapple, sugar. All these things are to acidic. Other fruits and greens have to be watched so they do not ferment. Fat is a big no no. I have to limit Olive Oil as well. I can not drink coffee or and carbonated beverage of any kind anymore. I do not drink alcohol or smoke. Processed food of any kind is out.

Avatar f tn I just graduated to morning sickness. For me, it's a no-expell kind of sickness. Instead it's the constant state of nausea to the point of gagging/dry heaving but nothing happening. It's all fine by me except all I can think about to eat are carbs (cereal, toast, etc). Canned pears wasn't bad but I would like to try a real meal (husband bought organic steak!). I can't even think about meats and when I tried veggies, they tasted weird and came back up (sorry TMI).
Avatar f tn I agree with aleahfleming. My sons pediatrician said to start giving him a spoonful of rice cereal everyday mixed with his formula. A day or two after he became constipated, cheeks were flushed, and he began getting dry patches on his upper arms. Not trying to scare you since every baby is different but when I did some searching, i came across an article that says babies really cant digest certain starches until 2 years old and that only pureed fruits/veggoes should be given at 6 months.
Avatar f tn It depends on the kind of soy. Soy doesn't cause thyroid problems, but some people with Hashimoto's Disease, a form of hypothyroid autoimmune disease, can have bad reactions to soy. Soy milk is fine, tofu is fine, tempeh and other fermented soy products such as miso and natto and real soy sauce (this doesn't mean Kikkoman) are fine, fresh soy beans (edamame) are fine, but this shouldn't obviously be the sum total of your diet.

Adjust the herbs and spices as needed, so that nothing is too spicy for your husband. Although, this recipe has no hot spices, so it should be fine. Oh, and by the way, you can cook it with chicken broth if you wish. This book I got it from is meant to be a vegetarian recipe book.
Tbd I have never used Medifast personally, but a quick glance at their nutrition facts, and I would say if you are struggling with high cholesterol, I wouldn't go that route. Any pre-packaged items/shakes like that tend to be high in sodium and cholesterol- two things you want to stay away from. As with any diet- I'd ask your doctor before you start any plan to make sure it's right for you. I know losing weight can be tough!
Avatar m tn Most vegetarians rely on beans and nuts for their protein, as should you. The rice should be brown rice for maximum protein and nutrition; beans combined with any whole grain will give you a complete protein. Iron is not a problem for vegetarians -- there are many vegetable sources for it, including beets, parsley, dandelion greens, most green leafy veggies except lettuce, nettles, etc.

Avatar f tn My girl had Parvo many years ago. She survived but was very wasted and had a small appetite for a little while afterwards. I gave her boiled chicken and rice at first, and white fish (de-boned of course) and rice. That's really the 'invalid-diet' for dogs who have had very bad gut upsets, and is very easy to digest. Scrambled or boiled egg is good too. I got her to eat a little more each time, till her strength returned along with her appetite.

Avatar f tn The most important is self-care. Eating good nutrition, drinking plenty of water, decreasing caffeine (a stimulant). Exercise, even if it's just getting up and dancing or going for a good walk. Rest when you need to. Listen to your body. Distraction when the anxiety is creeping in - turn on some music, call a friend and talk it out, get up and go walk. But most importantly is retraining your brain. "This is just anxiety. It's no fun, but it's not going to hurt me.
