1201433 tn?1328997637 I eat sushi, because I feel wonderful doing it. I know my body can handle it. I had sushi every day for lunch before my disease, so now I do it everyday. About the raw meat, I don't believe it is bad if it is freshly prepared. Sushi has so many nutrients in it.The ginger and wasabi is great for it, even though many herbalists do not agree with us having ginger, as it invokes warmth from within, and our issue already is a heat within.
Avatar f tn Seafood is okay, but no sushi. Just make sure all the fish you eat is well cooked.
Avatar f tn But am confused about the nutrition fact they write in the box of food (rice for example) they say nutrition facts for 100 g but is it like 100g of boiled rice or the uncooked product ? I guess there's a difference because when you use dry product you need for example two cups but if you use cooked rice you may need a cup ... Since it sucked water and its heavier so .. Any thoughts or maybe am dumb lol ! Thank you .

Avatar f tn Besides the heavy-metal contamination issue, make sure that the friend who smoked the fish knows what he is doing regarding smoking it completely, i.e., not leaving it raw in the middle and then failing to refrigerate it. Raw fresh fish is not unhealthy (absent the heavy-metal issue), but raw fish that has sat out for days in the cupboard because someone thought it was completely smoked is not anything I'd eat, preggers or not.
Avatar f tn Chicken jambalaya sound real good right bow Lol & sushi ?
Avatar f tn t believe so! Some cheeses I always had a problem with because it gave baby gas. They worry about sushi for parasite infections.
2000931 tn?1401563007 I guess I'm now up to four cents worth, Some healthy discussion here and more than a few laughs thanks to the super SuperMum and the one with the golden Guitar. I love the 'regular as a goose' quote. Yes, I am happy to say you may be right about diet, but I'm hoping you're wrong about a holistic program to stop the progression of MS.
Avatar f tn So, I am already freaking out when it comes to nutrition and eating. All I want is a healthy baby and have been looking online at all the foods and stuff you should stay away from and I am like, I already ate that! I had that last week! I have heard fish is an absolute NO but then I read that some fish like tuna, salmon, and tilapia are very good for the baby when it comes to neurological development. And then I have read absolutely NO deli meat or sandwich meat, well, what am I supposed to eat?
572651 tn?1530999357 MedHelp has an exercise and nutrition expert who is interested in MS and posted this information last month. I think I shared it at that time, but perhaps I didn't. I can't tell because no one from here joined in the conversation.. If you are inclined to learn more and think about MS and exercise in a different light, you might consider reading his post. You can access it at http://www.medhelp.

547836 tn?1302832832 I was reading the nutrition facts under the links and noticed that although none of the two contain iron, the Protegra contains 5000 IU of Vitamin A! That's a lot of Vitamin A. Should I start taking these every other day? Or maybe once/ twice a week instead of everyday? or not at all? THANKS!

Avatar f tn I always eat fried cat fish nd talipa my doc says its fine aslong as its cooked throughly bd not like sushi ..
Avatar f tn I have this bad craving for sushi right. I know I'm not supposed to be eating sushi, but do you think I shouldn't?
Avatar f tn I eat sushi. I get the California roll (imitation crab meat, cucumber, and avocado) and ones that are deep fried which are fully cooked. I also get them without the roe if it comes on that sushi. All sushi isn't raw. And I only eat sushi from one place and its a highly well kept Japanese restaurant with a sushi bar where sushi is only made as ordered.
Avatar f tn I ate sushi, I don't feel guilty but it's not for everyone. The sushi I ate was really fresh, the way I figure it is a couple million pregnant Japanese women can't be wrong they eat it (fish, sushi included) as as main staple. If they all had miscarriages and birth defects I think we'd here more about it. Again don't feel bad, but I know some would.
Avatar f tn Anything with Krab (with a K not a c) as its imitation crab. I was told others are not allowed but that was just my doc so yours could recommend something else. As for other cultures their body is accomstomed to eating sushi so I'm sure it's fine for them... It all comes down to preparation. When food is not handled properly and cross contamination occurs that's when you get food poisoning which can hurt your baby.
