You need to come up with combinations that you will enjoy, but first you need to get into the habit of
eating at regular times and sitting down and concentrating
on what you are
eating rather than just mindlessly stuffing food in your mouth. I also believe that you should eat every time you are hungry, but ONLY when you are hungry. If you are snacking off your son's plate, there may be other issues involved - whether it's boredom, loneliness or whatever.
