Avatar f tn Your weight is between the 50-25th percentile for your age. The weight you are at an ideal for your height. You do not need to lose weight. You can tone-up your body by exercising. Aerobic exercises would be good, such as walking, stair stepping, dancing, and biking. These exercises help your heart and body to stay healthy. Yoga is another form of exercise to try also.

Avatar n tn 5 kg is a lot to lose in 1 month and probably not safe to do; however, you should calculate your calorie needs and start eating a balanced diet based on how much your body needs. Can you please tell us how old you are, how much you currently weigh and how tall you are? We can help calculate your calorie needs.
Avatar f tn Here is the answer to this question. In order to lose weight, you have to subtract calories. Safe weight loss is 1-2 lbs/week, so in order to lose 1 lb/week, you'd have to drop 500 calories from your BMR each day (1 lb is equal to 3500 calories, so 500 calories X 7 days = 3500 calories or 1 lb). OR you can drop 250 calories from your diet and increase .....

Also, would like to know what is recommened to rid of belly fat. Most of my weight is in the belly area. I have had two kids, and am afraid that I may not ever have a flat tummy.
Avatar f tn t seems possible and moreover it is not a healthy weight loss. You should try to lose what you can lose in a healthy manner now. Start a healthy eating plan now and avoid all type of junk food, soda, dairy products and white sugar.

Avatar f tn If you are doing special diets or taking something to lose weight, often when you go off that diet, you regain. You should incorporate a regimen of healthy diet with portion control and adequate exercise that you can keep up on an ongoing basis. You need to make lifestyle changes that you can stick with.

4658567 tn?1364142123 m not thrilled I have to gain weight in the first place since I was trying to lose weight. Think not being hungry is in my head? I had to problems with hungr with first pregnancy.
Avatar m tn or are you eating too much? remember, to lose 1 pound, you must have a 3500 calorie deficit. divide that over the course of a week and it's like eliminating 500 calories from your total intake each day. so whether the 500 is made up of all exercise or food or a combination of both, you have to make sure there is that deficit. otherwise, even if you exercised for hours a day and then eat like crazy, that won't do you any good.
Avatar f tn Your not eating enough more likely then not by only eating only one big meal a day your putting your body into starvation mode and when you do eat that final big meal at the end of the day your body instantly stores all the fat and calories into your fat cells because it doesn't know when the next meal will be I suggest that you try harder to make time in your day to sit down and have a proper meal, like with breakfast it only takes ten minuets to eat a bowl of cereal and a peace of fruit.
806602 tn?1304700492 It sounds like you are doing plenty of excercise which is good for everybody trying to lose weight or not but remember you are young and your body needs good nutrition so try to be sensible and not too hard on yourself. Best wishes.
1163390 tn?1278835940 t think you necessarily have to worry about cutting off your eating at a specific time every day, or not eating X amount of hours before bed. I go to bed really late most nights and if I cut my eating off at 7, I'd be starving the rest of the night (most nights I eat dinner later than 7) If you're going to be counting calories, just make sure you don't exceed your daily limit. However you choose to space them out throughout the day won't have any effect of your weight loss.
Avatar f tn I used to be anorexic, but I got over that a few years ago. I'm still dealing with the effects today because although at one point I was at a healthy weight, it didn't last long when I started taking ADHD medicine that also caused me to lose weight. Then I started having depression which caused appetite loss, which then led to more weight loss since I wasn't (and still am not) eating enough.
698538 tn?1228122979 t seem to lose weight by walking or exercise...doing that is going to be to get stronger and healthier...but it won't shrink my belly or my butt...sadly. =( Money is somewhat of an issue so I won't be able to join most of those Jenny Craig, LA weight loss things. I am kind of thining Weight Watchers because it seems like it has been pretty successful and I can continue it pregnant. Does anyone have any other idea's?
Avatar f tn BTW, dietary fat has been shown to NOT cause weight gain for those trying to gain weight. It is just as hard to gain weight if you are underweight as it is to lose weight if you are overweight!
Avatar f tn s a lot of women that loss weight in the first trimester due to morning sickness. Its not too late to start eating healthy and exercising. Just check with your Dr before you start any exercise to make sure it's right for you.
Avatar f tn The problem could be because of the times of your eating. If you're having to compensate for lack of eating during the day by having a meal at night, you can easily change this. Eat a bit bigger portions during the day, have a big breakfast and a lunch and eat at dinner. Don't try and not eat because you want to lose weight. Then, you may not feel the "need" to eat at night...
1612720 tn?1298346909 Keep in mind I am not trying to starve.. I am eating what I consider to be healthy; a lot of fresh veggies, and a lot of lean protein with a few healthy carbs mixed in. I haven't had but maybe one sugary or fatty snack in over a month. This is a typical day for me: Breakfast: 2 egg whites or 1 boiled egg, pear/apple, coffee or water Lunch: 2-3 small cucumbers Garden salad with 2-3 Tbs.
Avatar n tn Milk should be given at all meals instead of juice, especially if he is not eating the meals that well. If you want him to have juice (100% juice), then give it (in a cup) with a healthy snack in the afternoon. The bottle at night is fine if he will not give that up or give him an evening snack with milk just before bed. Hope that helps you.
Avatar m tn But if you lose weight only to gain it all back again, you actually increase your risk of these issues AND each time you put on the weight, the harder it is to lose it. In addition, the older you get, the harder it usually is to lose weight -- you are at the perfect age to get it off in a reasonable manner and be able to keep it off, by making good lifestyle changes. It's not always a good idea to weigh yourself every day either.
978106 tn?1285108401 How much weight are you trying to lose? What types of foods are you eating? It's best to concentrate on whole grains, lean protein, low/no fat dairy; LOTS of veggies and some fruits. Not everyone can sustain a 1500 calorie/day diet; you may need more or less, depending on your current weight and activity level. The types of calories you eat will have an impact as well.
