I am one of the lucky ones you so far (shot 12 tonight) that has not suffered with sx but I do feel so wiped out in the afternoons and by the time I get off work and get home I do not feel like doing anything. I had hoped (know that sounds sick) that I would lose weight on tx but Oh no not me, not so lucky... if anything have gained. *****.... I am not sure what to do but to look toward Dec. when I will be finished with tx and have energy.. I agree with the goal sitting...
Now I am in a weight loss completion at work and have decided to step it up and start working out. I work out lightly on lunch for 20 minutes and then go home and every other day do 30 minutes of cardio and about 20 minutes of strength training. I have a BS in Public Health and understand the general idea of weight loss. But ever since starting to work out the scale will NOT budge. In fact I am gaining weight.
Why do I always get sick after working out? After a few days of working out I would suddenly feel sick, exhausted. Body aches. I'v gain a lot of weight. That I am Unable to lose. It becomes the battle of the wits between the child and the parents. Let them eat what they want. Slowly introduce new foods, and if they do not want it, do not make a fuss over it. Let it go and enjoy the meal. The nutrient dense drinks will give them the nutrition they need to grow. Hope this helped you.
Thank you for your advice, yeah I am like you I stay between 1200-1500 and every so often when I feel I need to I will have a little more, I was just worried w/what I was eating that for how much I was working out might be to much, but I am not working out like that anymore, I am still working out but not as hard as I was and I do have a dead line for me its the start of May that is about 2-3lbs a week as of right now if I remember right, Thanks again
The symptoms started to go away towards the end of this treatment but honestly think it was more the fact I didn't work out for that week and I also was eating Aleeve like candy. After 2 days of less pain I tried the gym again (light weight) and the symptoms came back. That's it so far. I had the ultrasound today and the tech said that both epididimous looked inflamed. He also found what I think he called a very enlarged seminal vesicle (sp)... could be a symptom or could be the cause?
Is it possible I am not eating enough or too much,? Can someone advise me how to lose weight and still work out?
Get you blood oxygen level checked as well as your home for Carbon Monoxide. Check out www.coheadquarter.com and www.carbonmonoxidekills.com It's worth a try as I too suffered and no medications helped. Thought I had a terminal illness that the Drs couldn't find for the past 1 1/2 yrs. Turns out to be chronic co2 poisioning. An elbow on the flu of the furnace and hot water heater was disconnected and all carbon monoxide was being released in the attack. Won't hurt to check it out!
I know it's not a magic pill, I am eating way less than before and better but just not losing weight. I know some people get an actual list of foods to eat from their doctor but all I was told was to eat my normal food just less of it. I work out 6days a week something I didn't do 2months ago and still not losing weight with exercise either. If anybody knows of something else I could do or try please let me know.
I sometimes eat coffee with some fried foods and it is true that you don't feel the boast as when I take coffee with cereal. According to a study from the University of Guelph, drinking coffee after eating greasy foods can cause blood sugar spikes. This effect applies even for healthy people who are not at risk for diabetes. In general terms As you well know, eating greasy foods is associated with a spike in blood sugar. Now, by combining it with a cup of coffee can double the impact.
I used to eat then like candy, but stopped after I found that out. I just avoid foods that are triggers and drink a heartburn relief tea, sometimes milk.
If he still insists on a dose decrease you need to get a second opinion. The high TSH can explain all your symptoms of being tired and gaining weight despite not eating much. Once things are balanced again, recommend thyroid testing about every 6 - 12 months for the rest of your life. Ideal TSH is normally between 0.5 - 2.5, with most people feeling best with a TSH around 1.0. Hope this helps. Best wishes and let us know how you go.
I have noticed that if I eat a meal that is heavy in fats (fats slow digestion time of the carbs in a meal), such as french fries (NO, I do NOT make a habit of eating stuff like this!), I have to wait until about a half hour AFTER I eat to take my Novalog so the insulin doesn't peak before the carbs digest.
His stomach basically fills with bile and they have to pump it out. He has not eaten anything since the surgery and very little liquids. Can anyone explain this to me? Thanks.
high impact Aerobics 30 mins swim Thurs Hockey Training - 90 mins Sat Hockey Match - 90 mins Sun 1 hour Body Pump (weight based class) 30 min swim It is very frustrating considering I'm doing some form of exercise each night, not going out drinking as my friends are, only for them to be thinner than me. Am I not doing the right exercise or working out for longer enough?
The numbers on the pills are A 159 split by an indented line. I spoke with the clinic this a.m. and they couldn't figure out why the pills would not be supressing my appetite. I asked if I might return the pills to the clinic and be sent more pills just to see if the problem is with those particular pills. So what do you think? I have taken phentermine before and lost 6 lbs the 1st week and my appetite was really suppressed! (which was a great feeling!) Thanks for your input. I am baffled!
Are you taking a break through medication with it? Talk with your doctor and explain that it is not working and see what other options are available for you to try. All of us has been through this. It is very frustrating but once you find the right medications it will have been worth it. Your metabolism has a lot to do with how well a medication may or may not work for you. Also there is tolerance issues to deal with. I hope you are doing better very soon.
I've lost around 50 pounds since I gave birth (I was 147 and now I'm at 98 pounds) and I eat 3-4 meals a day. I've stopped eating junk and over eating as well. (Junk food has little appeal to me now) The important thing in keeping your supply is to not starve yourself though. Drink lots of water and avoid sodas and such. Good luck!!!
I was wondering the effects of being hypo and working out. I am not an athlete, but I like working out. Despite all the exercise I do I can not get my muscles toned (defined). They look weak and saggy. My trainer said I had to eat more protein, but I am confused. I am not leveled yet. Despite taking my medicine and having good numbers I am still very syntomatic. I am just wondering if being hypo causes muscles weakness. I read something from Dr.
as long as your working and not eating to much then your probly making mussle which is mor dense than fat so go to your docter and get a body fat test and then next time u go after than get another one and see if uv lost any bodie fat and a lot of times u will go down a few sizes in close but you will still be ganing weight its is because the fat is turning into mussle
Last summer I was a size four still. Suddenly last Christmas, after I started eating more carbs in my diet, I suddently gained 35 pounds in my abdomen. It hurt! I have not been able to exercise due to an injury, so I could not shake the weight. Now I am gearing up for another diet - studying carb counters and altering my favorite foods. The best thing to do whether you use calories or carbs is to keep a journal and track every calorie/carb.
