I have a hard lump inside my right nostril. I noticed it about two months ago after feeling like something was in my nose. I tried seeing an ENT but was told I needed a referral. I ended up at urgent care due to severe discomfort and sinus pain. Doctor told me it was likely a skin infection. Was given antibacterial ointment. I ended up in the ER and was told I had a bacterial sinus infection. I was given antibiotics. Three antibiotics later and I am still suffering.
The pains continued so i went to doctor thinking it was a bladder or kidney infection. He perscribed me ciprofloxacin but that did not help, another urine test, no infection. And after worrying alot about it, im starting to get panic attacks and tingling in my hands and feet, is it likely that i have HIV? please help.
I've had a lump on the back of my thigh for about 6 weeks now. Recently it's been causing a lot of pain and it has gotten bigger. It went from a pink color to black now. There is no discharge and I can't recall ever being bit. I've not felt very ill but have had headaches since the pain started and my sense of smell seems off and I have blood in my nose. Any ideas? I have a doctor appointment in a few days but am wondering if it seems urgent enough to go sooner.
Hi, I'm Danielle. I am 16 years old. I have ADHD. (It's not severe.) About a month and a have ago I was given antibiotics for a bacterial infection that I received via mosquito bite that had built a bacterial "pus" sac I guess is what she said, which in case the mosquito did its business, but pushed bacteria to a place it didn't belong in my skin etc. SO the bacteria had a party for about maybe 3 or 5 weeks til I could see my pediatrician.
However swollen lymphnodes behind your ears could be due to chest infection, tonsillitis or pharyngitis, dandruff, infection of ear or even metastasis from a cancer. It could also be of tubercular pathology.
Since you have stuffy nose and sinusitis like symptoms, you must consult an ENT regarding this.

My nose bled and I swelled some and had pain at the bridge of my nose for days. Then about a week ago, I got a lump in my right temple. It was as if it was just under the skin. It was not small. I had a head ache of sorts while it was showing. Then the next morning it was gone, then within a few days I noticed the lump was now in the middle of my forehead. Sort of long and hard. It was very plain and close to an inch in height. Then my head ached like sinus problems.
I have a small lump a few inches below my right ear, I've had it for about 4 years? I've had headaches or neck aches causing headache like pains, though usually it's a slow thumping/pulsating type pain it can last for hours up to a few days. The pain tends to be around the lump and near my right temple as well as the bridge of my nose to the right. There also tends to be pain in the back of my head towards the right, shocker.
I just posted on the 6th about a lump on palate and nose. Your response was very helpful and reassuraing. Now I am a bit more worried as I have noticed a small red patch resembling blood vessels on the lump. I also have a bit of dull pain. I know that the ENT visit will be the only way to get a sure diagnosis, but the red patch madw me think that maybe this is more than sinus related. My right ear hurts a tad as well. No ear infection asI went to my GP last week.
ve had this feeling of something being stuck in my throat, or as if there is a lump or something there. I have been to an ear, nose, throat specialist twice. He put me on Augmentin for 10 days, plus a precscription antacid. He thought I had "Silent Reflux".......meaning I have no heartburn or any other symptoms, but that the acid was skipping my stomach and going to my throat, basically. This did not work. The next appt.
I have a 12 year old female Lab Mix. (Oreo) is her name. Over the summer I noticed a lump developing on the bridge of her nose. Naturally, I took her to see her Vet. At first, they just "drained" the lump, it helped for about a week, but grew even LARGER. I took her back to the Vet. .they did a biopsy, and sadly, the results were: the lump is cancerous. The Vet explained to me, that Oreo would eventually be in an enormous amount of pain, she would stop eating, and drinking etc...
I would ask u about this problem, since almost one month i had some white veins at my right tonsil with lump under it, i visited 2 doctors they said it's a bacteria infection.. they gave me lots of medicine plus a nose spray, now the white veins almost gone but i still have this lump.. by the way all this period i didn't have no fever no diarrhea no pain nothing.. so what is this problem.. just tonsils can be related to an hiv infection ?? my last sex activity since 2 months..
I have a similar problem which is caused by a sinus infection in my maxillary sinus -- It is caused by an infection from a root canal -- it caused a communication from my mouth into my sinuses -- causing the infection.
You need to take care of the tooth (filling/extraction/root canal) & then treat the sinus infection (anti-biotics) -- You should see a dentist about the tooth with the deep cavity to make sure you do not have an abcess.
i have the same thing...its like a pee sized lump on my septum. it only hurts when i touch it but it feels more like theres a cut on it. i'm really freaking out cause i looked on web md and it said something about some kind of cancer....i dont have health insurance either...someone please help!
Please help! I have just recovered from a flu and cough but now, I have this feeling of a lump in my throat and behind the nose? I cannot explain this feeling. It's like I have to suck the air from my throat to clear it out and also blow my nose. Coughing and clearing my throat only causes more mucus in my throat and also I have been producing thick saliva everytime I try to clear my throat! I find it hard to breathe!
The tingling and pressure is now all in my nose and my face with occassional twitches on the top and at the back of my head.
Additional to the above I have been doing a sinus rinse and I have been seeing little white bacterial worm type creatures that are gooey and at first were mistaken for mucous - but they all have the same shape. Fatter at the top, then a slim narrower portion with like a ball or diamond shape on the end.
I know the outlook for sinus and oral cancer is very grim. Could the lump in the mouth possibly be due to my past infection? Could the nose thing be scar tissue due to my past surgery or due to my irregular bone structure? No weight loss or major pain. sometimes the lump in mouth aches very slightly.
My son is four years old and has a lil' lump on his right side of neck it is tiny and soft and moves around , We have had it check out and doctors say its normal, but he has had it for awhile, should I be cocern and seek further? Will he have to have it removed later?
hi, i have a slight problem on my penis. there is some sort of boil or blister or a lump which has come up towards the below part of the penis next to the scrotum sac, but its on the penis,basically where they connect.. This has never been there before, but now it has been there sice the past 10 days.. i tried to squeez it and a liitle puss and blood had come out. But the lump has still not gone. it is still there.. The size of the lump is also just the same as it was before..
i have had oral surgery twice and seen ear nose and throat doctors also to no avaial. i also have stiffness and skin eruptions on my neck and shoulders on that side .
I was left with a lump in my throat and problems swallowing. The antibiotics cleared up the infection but the problem swallowing would still be there. It was bad most days with the occasional good day. No problem swallowing when drinking water...
Could eat OK but food did get stuck..

I found a tiny lump on left side of neck which has been there since my delivery. over a month i started getting neck pain,dry throat cold,pain in armpits very light..i recently found in Ultra sound that I have few enlarged lymph nodes and neck ache,head ache surrounding the ears.cold stufffy nose and colourless flum which i spit often followed by dry throat and itchy throat at times. no fever or weight loss so far. I went to ent specialist twice and she told its nothing but infection.
About 2 or 3 weeks ago, I noticed a lump or bump under my Jawline on that same side. I instantly got worried about that but still thought it was my wisdom teeth causing this. I received antibiotics from my dentist and took them all as directed. But i dont see or feel any changes in the swelling. The lump is not painful, but I can feel the swelling in my neck, especially when I swollow. I have just scheduled an appointment with an Ear,Nose and neck doctor to see what it may be.
WOW have same thing. My left nostril is inflamed two family practice doctors told me. They did nothing for the bump. the bump is under my right nostril. Before the bump appeared there was rawness from nose running too much skin was open under there wouldn't heal because of runny nose, blowing nose contact, then caught flu in February it's been there ever since. So will go to dermatologist this week.
