norvir copay program

since this is a non elective tretment i dont have a choice but to get the treatment, but i do need help paying for it. Is there any kind of program that will help me offset the copay cost for this program?

Vertex does have a copay help program which give a 20% copay help. After a 20% copay card from Verrtex, my out of pocket, roughly $14,000 for a 12 week treatment. I just cant afford this. Is anybody working on a drug coverage appeal for Incivek or have you found other means of assitance?

What is your doctor thinking? Is this an HIV Specialist? Are you multi drug resistant? You say your combo is Combivir : which is AZT and 3TC Truvada : which is Viread and Emtriva (which is almost identical to 3TC and should not be taken together) Viread : which is already in the Truvada! Prezista : which is a PI that MUST be taken with Norvir which you aren't on!

The only side effects ill have in the soft stool from time to time, the tingling feeling in my hands and feet from the norvir this too is from time to time, they say the norvir also has gastro effects, I know when it will kill someone....lol.... As of last month my t-cells were 945. I have been positive for 5 years on meds for 4years...

Laura, aka Lulu54 mentioned that there may be copay assistance programs available. I went to the Genentech website and found a wealth of information about assisatance for payments associated with many conditions. None of these were MS. I have a call in to them. but sustpecty that since Rituxan for MS is off label there is no program at Genentech. Does anyone know of any fiancial assistance programs for Rituxan?

Initial counts were 423 viral load (not thousands - just 423) but T cell was 398. Immediately went undetectable. Put on Fortavase, Combivir, Norvir. Soon switched to just Fortavase 8 bid, combivir 1 bid. over time decreased to just 1 fortavase bid and 1 combivir bid. Been up in 700 - 900 T cell the whole time. That's a tough situation. Depending on your financial situation, you may want to look into Bristol-Myers Squibb Company to see if they have a patients assistant program. Changing insurance is a possible consideration. Baraclude comes in 0.5mg and 1mg. If you have to go with Baraclude, check the cost for the 1mg compare with the 0.5mg. If they cost you about the same out of pocket, go with the 1mg, cut it in half and you get twice the dosage.

But the jest of it was exactly what you had already mentioned and that is the privacy issue. Hello, I have been taking interferon and ribavirin for 32 weeks and other then a few side effects that I have been able to deal with the treatment is working well. My problem is that our insurance won't cover the $150.00 copay because that portion is used up.I haven't been able to work in nearly 5 years because of COPD and other health problems and if I can't find a program somewhere that will cover the copay I will have to stop treatment.

m finding that so many of these drugs have special offers on their websites to help cover the copay cost. Big Pharma definitely wants us using their pills.... m thinking that maybe REbif has a monthly $50 copay max for patients with private insurance. You can always call them and talk to them about their program before you make your final decision. You are so right - another 1-2 months won't make much of a difference.
