Norvasc twice daily

Common Questions and Answers about Norvasc twice daily

norvasc

Avatar n tn It would be very unsafe due to physical withdrawal symptoms to stop the medications at once. There should be a way you can obtain coverage for the medications. For example there is the Patient Assistance Program where the companies that produce the medications can if a person is eligible and falls between the gaps with insurance coverage provide them without cost. You could ask your doctor or psychiatrist to call with you to fill out the application forms.
Avatar f tn Hello Dr. Blood pressure had been well controlled in the past with Norvasc 10mg 1x daily and Metroprolol 25mg 2x daily. However, most recently, experiencing high blood pressure since the Nephrologist switched the Norvasc to Lorsartan 100mg 1x daily. Readings have been in the mid 160's even in the 170's. In addition, the Metroprolol was discontinued (it wasn't really helping the heart palpations) and have been prescribed Atenolol 25mg 1x daily for the heart palpitations.
Avatar m tn 5mg daily, metoprol 25mg twice daily and I just started Ranexa 500mg twice daily. I have no energy, if I exert myself in any way the chest pain/pressure starts with sharp pains and then they radiate to the left arm and up the left side of my neck. All of my test have come back normal. This is scarring me to death and as a coal miner I'm afraid I'm going to lose my job.
Avatar m tn 2 milligrams of amlodapine (Norvasc) twice daily and it more-or-less keeps his blood pressure below 110/xx, but we have been having to add in the Labetelol recently on an as-needed basis to keep it below 120/xx. My wife and I are really scared for him - this whole thing has been just killing us. Is there anyone put there that has any ideas??
Avatar f tn I have started taking Norvasc for Hypertension and am having side effects such as nausea, headache, and it seems to be causing some eye pain and pressure. My concern is that I had retinal detachment surgery in March of 2008 and have not had any pain until I started taking Norvasc 5mg. daily. Is this a side effect that is normal and will it subside or is it a reason to discontinue this drug?

672586 tn?1280933658 At my request, my family physician has agreed to change my medication from daily metoprolol extended release 100 mg to daily diltiazem 120 mg. Avatar f tn Mother just started on Norvasc already on Tenormin. Now I've heard there is a problem with the two drugs together causing heart failure. Is that really happening? Please my mother will stop Norvasc unneccassarily if I can't find out the real information about this. She is limited on drug options so this is important. Thanks so very much.
Avatar f tn We usually start patients on long acting oral nitrates (imdur 30 mg daily) because it starts acting fast and then transition the patient to norvasc which takes about 4 days to work. In addition to the nitrates and the norvasc, we also use statins and antidepressants as well. The latter have been shown to help as well.

Avatar n tn I was very recently prescribed Wellbutrin XL, after trying several medications that have not helped [including Wellbutrin SR]. When I saw my doctor, she simply said 'I'm putting you on Wellbutrin twice daily' and I assumed it would be the SR. But what I was given was XL, with the instructions to take it twice a day [morning and around noon]. My doctor's office is closed today, or I would have asked her. I did ask the pharmacist, and he said that yes, this is okay.
Avatar f tn just started klonopin .05 twice daily on wednesday, making me extremly tired. does this go away within a few weeks? does my body need to just get used to it?
Avatar m tn 5MG once-twice daily, with a qty of 20! that is no way to taper some one off this medication, right? I talked to my aunt who is a doctor (she will not prescribe any narcotics through out our family because of DEA ref's etc) and she told me to go to a new doctor because stopping this drug is way to risky especially for someone my age (18). She actually doesn't even want me on the medication, because a few years ago I would take them to get high.
739070 tn?1338603402 I tried all the regular migraine meds and nothing ever really helped. 15 years ago, I started verapamil 40mg twice daily. My migraines became less and less frequent over about 3-4mos and then stopped. I took it twice a day for quite a few years and now I just take it every few days. Every several - several months I start to feel one coming on and if I take a verapamil and excedrin migraine it goes away.
Avatar f tn 1mg 2 x day. However, the Norvasc is not working after 12 hrs. My B/P is 150/113 12 hrs after taking the norvasc. Can I take a clonidine .1 mg along with the norvasc?
Avatar n tn Can this be artificially high because of medications taken for other problems i.e. high blood pressure (5mg Norvasc, 12.5mg Hydrochlorothiazide, .1mg clonodine 2x daily), hormone replacement (premarin 1.25), anit-depressant (150xl Wellbutrin), sleep-aid (Ambien) and Prevacid?

Avatar m tn I was diagnosed with hypertension/high BP in June when the nurse at work sent me to ER with a BP of 210/120. I was immediately put on Norvasc 10mg and HCTZ 25mg daily. My pressure came down to 160/80 and after seeing my doc he said come back in 6 months. After questioning why I had high blood pressure and not getting any answers I asked to see another doc and he added Lisinopril 10mg and said come back in 6 months. Since then BP has been steady at 130's/40's.
Avatar f tn When I take the generic for Norvasc, my feet swell; this does not happen when I do not take the medication. Will natural diaretics help with this. My diastolic pressure hovers around 90; systolic comes down easily with the Norvasc; diastolic is slower to respond.
Avatar n tn I've been on Clonanzipam for 4years now and am up to 4mgs. a night. I'm scared of getting addicted, but can't sleep without it. Is there any danger of taking over the counter sleeping pills now and then so that I'm not taking Clonazipam every night. I've gone to bed when really tired without anything and no side affects what so ever.
