Hi Nick, In short, anything is possible and many meds mixing together certainly make it harder to know what is doing what. Norvasc appears to be for blood pressure normally and a list of drug interactions can be found here : http://www.rxlist.com/norvasc-drug.htm. I claim no knowledge except of what site to look at for this info. Much of it I wouldn't follow either but it will hopefully mean something to you.

I have been taking zoloft for 10 days now and I feel really anxious and nervous, I feel shortness of breath can anyone tell me if these are side effects and if they will go away. I don't know if I should stop taking it I just lost my insurance so I can't go back to the dr that prescribed them for me can anyone help me. I think u may not be able to sleep cos ur bp is too high and thats quite dangerous, usually i cant get any sleep if my bp rises above 150/90. Side effects of atenolol for me are slow pulse, weak erection, weakness and tiredness, confusion, difficulty taking quick decisions.

The pain is relieved by a medicine called nitroglycerin (dilates coronary vessels). You have been prescribed norvasc and that should relieve any chest pains. Norvasc is in a group of drugs called calcium channel blockers. It dilates blood vessels and slows the heart to reduce blood pressure and the pain of angina. Calcium channel blockers may be needed long term. Medications may also include beta-blockers. However, in some cases of spastic angina, beta-blockers may be harmful.

I have started taking Norvasc for Hypertension and am having side effects such as nausea, headache, and it seems to be causing some eye pain and pressure. My concern is that I had retinal detachment surgery in March of 2008 and have not had any pain until I started taking Norvasc 5mg. daily. i just looked on drugs.com on their interactions checker and between the two there were no interactions found, However, there are interactions with other medications. You should look at that site, it gives a lot of good information about all kinds of medication, like your second medication Norvasc shouldn't be taken with grapefruit. Hope that helps.

I am taking this med for blood pressure but now my legs are retaining fluid and I am having breathing problems are these side effects? I think I may even have some fluid on the lungs.

Edema is a common side effect of the Norvasc and a low dose thiazide diuretic will take care of the swelling and also help the BP.

Make sure you see a dentist at least twice a year and make it known you are on ccb. Side effects can occur in some people where gums are affected, but in my case two of my molars crumbled.

as I didnt have this happen before.. not even when on toprol or diovan. but did have worse side effects from them ! have you ever had anyone with these problems or symptoms , that is on verapamil or maxzide ??

Is there a clinical study and shows femara vs placebo rather than femara vs tamoifen (novartis trial)? What is the general recommendation? Can you stop femara if side effects become a quality of life issue? Thank you.

The blood pressure was very well controlled (120's low 130's) when taking the original medication of just Norvasc 10mg. Once discontinuing the Norvasc and starting the Lorsartan 100mg, that's when the BP reading became elevated in the 160's to 180's range. 1. Is it possible that the Lorsartan is not a great medication (in this particular case) to help with the HTN? 2.

Mother just started on Norvasc already on Tenormin. Now I've heard there is a problem with the two drugs together causing heart failure. Is that really happening? You may have to adjust or change your medication. Norvasc has a side effect for arryhthmia (rapid heartbeat). Fast or uneven heartbeat is a side effect for hctz.

Had a large tumor and total thyroidectomy removed 3 weeks ago. The past few days having dull but strong headaches that go into my ear, down my jaw into my neck. I'm taking 100 mcg of Levothyroxine a day and 2 Calcitrol a day. My calcium was very low after surgery.

thank you for your informatiion - the norvasc if for having Raynauds and real small blood vessles - taking 10mgs daily.. I'm looking into finding something else to replace Norvasc that doesn't have the bad side effect of the swelling feet. I was just hopping someone might know right off hand, sense the doctors I've been too, don't seem to know anything..

I have some swelling and slight dizziness with the Novasc, but the benefits far out weigh the side effects.

I am 32 yr old female who has been taking a diuretic since I was 20 for HBP. Now I am also on norvasc which isn't working and is causing angina. The doctor has tried me on several meds with little to no results or severe side effects that made not able to take a cpl of them. I've only had a CMP and CBC done for tests. I've been to him every month for the past year now and he just switches me to a new med without testing anything.
