Common Questions and Answers about Norvasc picture

norvasc

For 3yrs I had controlled HT w/Lisinopril/HCTZ 20/25 & Norvasc 5mg. I was a very healthy 44yo Fe, 4'10 110lbs. In Jan 07 my Ins Co said they wanted me to switch from Norvasc to Lotrel because they were "the same & it was cheaper". My Dr kept me on the Lisin/HCTZ & added Lotrel 5/40. 12 days later while out watching the SuperBowl I went from being totally fine, to vomiting wetting my pants & collapsing. At the ER my BP was 56/48.
In regard to the big picture I would continue to watch your diet, exercise and follow-up with your doctor on a regular basis.
But he did not want to put me through that so started me on medication that people take for it, Norvasc. I've been on that since Nov. In the meantime, I wanted another opinion because even those this Norvasc has relieved some of my episodes, I'm still suffering. I'm tired of it. This doctor was not helpful at all and questioned my motives behind seeking another doctors advice and why would I do that because the other doctor I've seen is outstanding. Well, not outstanding to me.

Hello, My name is John. I just turned 33 and on 12/03/2009 I had a heart attack. When the paramedics arrived they thought I was having a panic attack and made me walk to the ambulance, shortly after that, they hooked me to ekg machine and gave me nitro, asprins and turned on the lights/siren. After I get to the hospital, they hook up a bunch of wires, hoses, take blood, give shots, etc...
I'm already on Lopressor 50mg and she added Norvasc 10mg. I'm very new to all this and it worries me greatly. Can much be done if I have a blocked lower heart? What's the prognosis for recovery from something like this? P.S. I've 57 Male and overweight. Although, I've lost about 10 pounds since the holiday's and am on a very sensible eating plan now. thx.
I was also put on lopresser 25mg PO BID and norvasc 5mg PO QID. The hospital didn't realize my sugar was up in the hopsital but my family doctor seen my lab results from when I was in the hospital. She started me on metformin 500mg PO BID due to my A1C being 7. I didn't like how it made me feel but continued to take it. Summer of 2008 I had surgery and my sugars dropped so I stopped taking the metformin.

however when i looked at the picture of the ethmoid sinuses, it is exactly there). The sinus dr said he did not see an infection, and if there is fluid there, the only way to determine if anything was seriously wrong was through surgery which he didn't advise. He told me to just flush the sinuses with saline and use rhinocort. I did the rhinocort last night and the nosebleed came (it didn't last long).
My wife takes Lisinopril, a long-acting angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor (ACEi), and Norvasc, a long-acting calcium channel blocker (CCB). She is fine except for some swelling in the ankles. I take Norvasc in order to try to remodel my heart and reverse Diastolic Dysfunction. Some of these are wonder drugs. A cardiologist at the Cleveland Clinic diagnosed me with DD, and prescribed Norvasc for me.
because I wouldn't he got upset. Went to the other doctor and he said I didn't have a heart attack and put me on Norvasc with Coreg. Did a stress test and it stated negative. Have had holter monitors (30 day) and this is what it said on one of the strips: Sinus rhythm, changes in QRS Morphology noted, SV ectopy noted, pairs, Rare PVC When I asked the doctor what this meant, he said it was normal. Normal ?? Doesn't sound like it to me.
Lots of vitamins, imodium, melatonin, ativan, elavil, effexor, norvasc. I think I have everything I may need. The norvasc is blood pressure med and the ativan I will use sparingly. I don't have a lot left anyway and it's only .5 mg. I just want to stay off the opiates entirely. It's been over 20 hours now and I am really feeling it already. Maybe this will be short and not so sweet.
Also, I love Earl Grey tea but was told that the bergamot is not good for people medications (I take Coreg (ick), Norvasc, and Starlix). .may I have your input on this also ?? Thank you all so much for listening and being here for us. . .
I have been on Norvasc (calcium channel blocker) that really seems to help the microvascular spasms. My spasms feel like an elephant on my chest instead of a spasm feeling. The only thing that relieves it is Nitro under my tongue. I am also on Isosorbide (long acting Nitro) and Atenolol. All of these combined have made my life almost back to normal. I can now run up and down stairs (I'm in respiratory therapy)and to codes without losing my breath as much.

Strange things is, I never have a spasm while exercising, but they will wake me from a dead sleep, sometimes 4 or 5 times a day. Those are getting better though. Before the Norvasc I was having them 10 or 12 times a day. Now I can have a long stretch without any (maybe a couple of weeks). The exercises make me feel so much better, also. We live and learn in here. But the best part is we are LIVING! Take care, neighbor.
I don't feel like going to work tonight(I'm sure you get the picture). I guess this is going to go on for quite some time. Hope this helped.
5mg of Norvasc which I am reluctant to take. I am a real worry wart. Anyhow, this is where I am currently at. I am right now trying to make it 12 hours before my next dose. My current resting pulse is around 85-90. My bp is on the high side at around 144/100. I am bound and determined to stick this out. Btw, I have PVCs, sinus arrhythmia, sinus bradycardia, and sinus tachycardia. I am 35 years old. I have been on atenolol for about 5 years. I would love to hear how things go with you.
I felt I should respond again and reveal more details about our situation and why I so strongly encourage others to try to really look at the whole picture and what the implications of undiagnosed disease could lead to versus diagnosed disease and what that could prevent or delay. Of the four of our immediate family that have been diagnosed in the past 3 years, none of us were symptomatic.
you get the ugly picture i'm sure. (every mans nightmare of a wife LOL) also very very painful periods have developed and sex hurts. So I keep asking my doc why. She sighs and says I'm nearing middle age.. premenapause. I need to try harder. I can tell she thinks i'm eating ho hos, snickers and doritos in the middle of the night!! Everyone is disgusted with me. I think maybe i'm just a loser... well.... 2 months ago blood tests were tsh 10!!
I did a little research on Norvasc but don't have the book with me at home (its almost the size of my house, haha) and it looks like there have been some complaints about sperm health on this medication. It takes about 72 days to produce sperm, so to get a real idea of the affect of the meds, a repeat semen analysis should be done about 3 months after he is off the medication to get an accurate idea.
But the effect is too unspecific and will rarely lead to clearance and seroconversion. A similar picture applies to the preS type vaccines. A combination of replicor, Myrcludex and antivirals, with therapeutic vaccines in the surface antigen negative phase to enhance the anti surface response while the surface antigen is still artificially suppressed by replicor, should drive the SVR rate in the 80 to 90% range.
) I am asking because if this is recently- Topomax is used as a mood stablizer. I think that it is a great idea to carry that precious picture around. And when I was reading your comments and some of the others here-my heart ached. I know that just by you replying made me feel better inside. I pray you have a well informed and good week w/ your Doctors. I hope you get the answers you need. Please keep me posted. By the way I would have never guessed that your only 21.
I find this very interesting. I was taking Norvasc which I think compounded or created the problem. Do you think that natural B6 would react different than man made B6? I started feeling bad last May. I have been off of everthing (Norvasc include) for three weeks. I feel that I am very slowly getting better but it is a rough trip, very up and down. I am very weak and unable to do hardly anything. I would have never beleived that I could go this low. My doctor thinks I am depressed.
I then made better choices in my diet and the gas naturally went away and I gradually added cardio and weight training in the picture. I later stopped exercising thinking the gas was gone for good and became less active and the gas came back, so then I had to retrace my steps from the past and remember what I ate before or what was I doing before and finally I remembered what I had done when it seemed to leave. Mine seem to develop due to poor diet and lack of exercise as well.
