I am a 48 year old male...I have been using viagra for several years...It has been working for me without questions. I am on Cholesterol meds and hypertension meds(Metoprolol, Altace and Norvasc) which I have been taking for the last two years. Recently I used some viagra two hours before an encounter with my date. I started drinking after the taking the Viagra. The viagra did not work....I took another one and waited awhile and it still didn't work...

Hypertension and Cialis are bad combination, also Viagra, Levitra, Kamagra and any other generics. I suggest trying herbal medications. For your age and conditions I suggest : Virility Patch Rx .

Hi Nick, In short, anything is possible and many meds mixing together certainly make it harder to know what is doing what. Norvasc appears to be for blood pressure normally and a list of drug interactions can be found here : http://www.rxlist.com/norvasc-drug.htm. I claim no knowledge except of what site to look at for this info. Much of it I wouldn't follow either but it will hopefully mean something to you.

The patients taking alpha blockers may use Viagra only after stabilizing of hemodynamic indexes. And lastly, certain drugs for cardiac disease may interact with Viagra, and if you are using them you should avoid it. The drugs are: Calcium channel blockers like Amlodipine (Norvasc). Concomitant use of Amlodipine and Viagra may cause lowering of blood pressure. Alpha blockers like doxazosin (Cardura®), prazosin (Minipress®), and terazosin (Hytrin®).

I have recently been prescribed Adderall XR 20 mg for adult ADHD. I have been diagnosed with mild COPD. I am currently on an Albuterol Inhaler as needed, which luckily isn't very often. I am taking nebivolol 5 mg for my high blood preasure and using viagra didnt had any side effect(serious) or interaction with nebivolol but im afraid.I get sometimes uppset stomach thats all.But i dont want to use viagra.Is there anything for PE?And not harmfull?Sometimes i thing that nebivolol has worsen my PE but i wasnt very good at it even before nebivolol.And what about DuraMale?Has anyone tried it before?Its a herbal drug for pe.

Is there any other drug out there that will work the same way to open up small blood vessels like Norvasc but wont have the "bad swelling of legs and feet?" Anyone, please me know know, looking forward to hearing from you...

they put my on antibiotics and viccodine ..this morning i felt better and at 12noon took my norvasc 5mg pill then around 5pm i stared felling clammy and hot and noticed my breathing was wierd..then when i went to the train to get a transit card my heart was beating outta my chest just for walking up the train station stairs...when i got home my bp was 143 over 100 and my heart rate was 104...

You should contact your caregiver for advice regarding your medication as they would have your medical history, general health, etc. There is a noted drug interaction with Viagra and warfarin in certain patients. In patients who have pulmonary hypertension, there is an increased risk of bleeding when taking these medications together, etc.. Thanks for your question, take care.

I take 5mg Norvasc with 100 mg of a beta blocker(Lopressor) and Isosorbide (Nitrate) and Tricor every morning without any problems. But I am confused as to why Norvasc and Cardizem. They are both calcium channel blockers. Maybe someone can enlighten me on that. Have you talked to your pharmacist about any concerns?

then tonight I went to take my medicine for my angina and a light went off in my brain --- I started a new drug, Norvasc (a calcium channel blocker) for my angina in mid-June. A few weeks after exposure i partied hard with lots of booze not much sleep and took 100mg of viagra ( which i later found out is bad for herpes)however no outbreaks the following day. I used a condom and lots of lubrication was over my whole boxer short area but the condom did not cover the base of my penis or my pubic bone which did some grazing.

I was on Norvasc but my Dr. changed to Cardizem, I have trouble swalloing and the Norvasc dissolved in my mouth quickly to make it easier to take, the Cardizem Er is a big capsule that is hard to take, should I ask my Dr to go back on Norvasc?? they both seem to work equally well....

Hi, For years I've been on 20 mg Lexapro. I never had ED, but it often took me a long time to climax during sex. My doctor and I decided to try switching to Wellbutrin (mostly because we thought it might help improve motivation). I'm still in the process of switching over -- cutdown from 20mg Lexapro to 10mg, and I'm now on 200mg Wellbutrin taken twice a day (400 mg total). The depression symptoms are handled fine and I think there is increased motivation.

Start with the minimum effective dose which is 25mg and see if it does something for you. If you wait for a study from the FDA on Viagra for MS, then it will probably happen after you are dead. All this HTN began as soon as the Norvasc and Metroprolol were discontinued and the Lorsartan 100mg and Atenolol 25mg were begun...now to only have the Norvasc added back but at 5mg versus 10mg! Can the HTN be dangerous for the new liver? Very worried. Thank you!

1mg 2 x day. However, the Norvasc is not working after 12 hrs. My B/P is 150/113 12 hrs after taking the norvasc. Can I take a clonidine .1 mg along with the norvasc?

Edema is a common side effect of the Norvasc and a low dose thiazide diuretic will take care of the swelling and also help the BP.

Please do more web searches and DO NOT use Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra. I also have RP and ED. I bought L-arginine/Orinithine but am wary about using until I read that it's ok. Blood flow changes seem to be very bad to already bad retinal cells.

My husband is on the medication Suboxone and I was needing to know if he can take Viagra with this medicine? We don't want him to take it and go into withdraws or anything so, are the two compatible?

It has helped but it has not solved the problem. I went to my doctor and he gave me a prescription for Viagra, 50 mg. My question is this: Is it safe to occasionally take Viagra if I also take L-Arginine? Are there are any potential contra indications in that Viagra should not be taken by a person who takes L-Arginine? If so, is the contraindication just for that day? In other words, would I be safe if I did not take L-Arginine on the day I took Viagra?

I am just trying to find out if occasional use of viagra would be safe or a risk to take.
