weight

Avatar n tn Maybe but not all scales are the same...
1363883 tn?1278861899 your weight can fluctuate by quite a few lbs during the day depending on what youve eaten and drank, and in the morning after giving your body a chance to digest and eliminate, you will be at your lightest weight, which i find to motivate me wayyy more! as for the kind of scale, ive found even the cheapest scales are fairly accurate. my scale only cost me $30 and only varies by like a tenth of a pound from the scale at the doctors!
Avatar f tn Anyone else weigh themselves at home and get a completely different number when you step on the scale at the doctors office.. Ahh it bothers me. Past pregnancys I have gained 40lbs and I'm trying to control how much I gain this time around. pre pregnancy I was 150 (according to MY scale). I weigh myself on a daily basis and have been at 152 for awhile (ill be 15 weeks tomorrow). Well I went to the doctors and stepped on their digital scale and got 158.
1127396 tn?1329324816 I have both kinds of scale at home. I weight my self in the mornings before I shower. I cant see too far. I can tell while using my regular scale that I lost a few more lbs. I weight in something between 205 and 200...It look to have been closer to the 200. Well I was so excited to know the exact amount I lost....so I brought down my digital scale. BUT it reads 198.8...what scale do you think would be more accurate. Wednesdays are my weight in days. So I need to to which I should trust more.
Avatar n tn 125mcg to 150mcg is a fairly large jump, and should be enough to bring your hormones back into line. It should take about six weeks. With Unithroid, there is no dose between 125mcg and 150mcg, so if you find 150mcg is too much, you may have to get creative. For example, a scrip for 50mcg and a scrip for 88mcg taken together would give you 138mcg per day. Just a thought if the 150mcg turns out to be a little much. You need to get your TSH down to between 1.0 and 2.
Avatar f tn It's not unusual to gain a little weight when first starting to exercise. When you begin an exercise program, you begin building muscle, so even though you aren't losing pounds, you might be losing inches. You might want to take your measurements - waist, bust, hips, thighs, arms - you might actually be getting smaller. You might also want to think about getting your thyroid tested to make sure it's functioning properly since hypothyroidism is a major cause of weight gain.
Avatar n tn Just remember the weight gain is normal and baby needs it :) thats what helps me. . Also light exercise and a good diet.
Avatar f tn As long as you're eating properly don't worry about the weight gain. Don't stuff yourself full of crap because you think you need to gain weight! As log as doc says you and baby are doing well don't fret about the number on the scale.
172023 tn?1334672284 Water makes up about 60% of total body mass. Normal fluctuations in the body’s water content can send scale-watchers into a tailspin if they don’t understand what’s happening. Two factors influencing water retention are water consumption and salt intake. Strange as it sounds, the less water you drink, the more of it your body retains. If you are even slightly dehydrated your body will hang onto it’s water supplies with a vengeance, possibly causing the number on the scale to inch upward.
3556225 tn?1356371040 Was it your scale or the doctors scale that said you lost 5lbs? If it was your scale, it's probably different from your doctors scale, if it was your doctors, I wouldn't worry about it because if you're eating healthier and are plus size chances are you're going to lose weight, even women that aren't plus size that change their diets to healthier diets while pregnant lose weight, it's normal!
Avatar f tn So im 26 weeks, and decided to check my weight a few min ago, my weight before pregnancy was 145 and a week ago I was 160 but just now the scale says im 135 like whattt? Is that normal, how does this happen?
2028721 tn?1356682003 looking at ur pics seems u r normal , but 205 lbs is never a correct weight. u neet to reduce another 20 kg. do regularly aerobic exercise and go for proper dieting.
Avatar f tn There is no normal weight gain. Your doctor will say something if they think you're gaining too much or too little for your specific body type, etc. Don't compare weight gain to anyone else.
Avatar f tn So im 10 weeks and I've already started to gain weight, it seems like my stomach is already starting to poke out. Not in a round way but like a chunky gaining weight way. Is that normal? Or am I gaining weight to quickly. I haven't checked the scale lately to see how much I've gained, but I will soon.
Avatar f tn Im 25 weeks now and I have an appoitnment tomorrow so I will find out how much I weight on their scale. My pre pregnancy weight was 106 though, and my home scale says 115 now at week 25, so thats 9 pounds. I was worried too because I wasnt really gaining, but Ive gained a few pounds each month and the doc isnt worried! Every woman and pregnancy is different. Good luck ladies :) and happy baby!!
Avatar f tn I am going to guess that is a fluke. Popsicles and crackers aren't going to cause you to gain weight. The constipation may, the period always does, etc. I'm wondering though why you are checking your weight when you have the flu. Do you obsess about weight a bit? I have had periods of my life in which I did to and my equally obsessed girlfriends would joke we need a good case of stomach flu to get us back on track. Bad joke, right?
Avatar f tn Yep acvording to this app I'm above normal weight at beginning I was stressing but not no more I can't fight it lol docs says I'm ok I'm jus gonna gain lil more weight at end.
Avatar f tn I have to disagree with the weight scale on the app. I am 35 + 2 and the "excessive" has shown for weeks now. I have gained 30lbs so far and even though I don't look like it the app makes me feel like a fat cow....lol.
1107684 tn?1448828430 ve losted inches, and weight, just by the way I look and the way my clothes fit! I feel so much better! But, I get on the scale and it shows I gain 2lbs! Must be the scale cuz. I've been watching what I put in my mouth and I walk 1 hour, every morning or evening. I don't get it. Could it be muscle gain? I just had AF a couple of weeks ago so it's not water weight? HMMMM! Any ideas? Am thinking that maybe I shouldn't use a scale at all, kinda bought me down!
Avatar n tn Yes, this is normal. Weight can fluctuate quite a bit, depending on when you ate, went to the bathroom, exercised, etc in relation to getting on the scale. Mine fluctuates wildly, as well, because I retain a lot of fluid.
2023006 tn?1328791751 Im not sure how long it lasts, but I always pay more attention to inch loss and the way my clothes fit versus the scale. Sometimes it can take a while for it to catch up with the scale. I find that I get discouraged when I see the scale go and stay up despite the fact that I look thinner and have lost inches.
756140 tn?1294767094 I was just going to bed, but saw your sigh! First, I agree with Skailark. I always weigh the least first thing in the morning. Period! While I DO weigh every day, I only post my weight once/week on here. I only record it once/month in "my little book" because of normal fluctuations. Remember, 1-2 pounds/week is actually the ideal weight loss goal. SO, even if that's what you end up with (1 pound) - THAT'S GREAT!
Avatar n tn I'm over weight & have lost 40 pounds my whole pregnancy & doc wasn't concerned I'm 35 weeks
Avatar f tn I went to the Dr on the 10th and was 140 and I got on the scale after a stressful week and it said 135 I immediately made my boyfriend weigh himself and his weight was correct. I'm not 100% sure what to do in this situation does anyone have any suggestions???
Avatar m tn Hi I have been losing weight and dont know why. The scale is going up rather than down though. I dont workout or do excercise so this is all strange to me. My period also looks lighter than normal. I have had bloodtest which they said is normal.Any idea ?
4976466 tn?1365993611 I was worried when I saw the app scale too. I didn't start a mass weight gain until my 6th/7th month. Then I gained 15 out of nowhere! Doctors were worried about my lack of weight in the beginning, but now I'm 10 over what "I'm supposed to be".
Avatar f tn Next time pay attention to how the nurse takes your weight. Mine uses a triple beam scale where you move the pieces back and forth and she's not exactly careful about it so I'm sure it's off. Hers says I've gained 3 lbs and mine says I've lost 3 this last month. I've been weighing myself weekly at home with a digital scale and tracking it on here so that's the one I trust. If your doctor gives you grief, bring it up and show her your tracking.
489000 tn?1364302227 My Dr. is known to NEVER say a word. He has never been concerned w/ weight gain in pregnant women.. I like that about my Dr.!
Avatar f tn I have also lost 3 inches around my bust but gained 2 inches around my baby bump within the last 2 weeks! I am plus size so losing weight is exciting but is it NORMAL!? I feel fantastic no more morning sickness. So where is it going?
