weight

9038886 tn?1402125726 This app is always telling me that my weight is "below normal range" and i hate it!!!! It makes me feel bad. I eat healthy and i feel like I finally got my appetite back and started gaining some weight.
Avatar f tn I believe the normal range is anything under 5. The scale is 1-10. Anything under 5 is within in normal range. Mine was at 7.4 before surgery. Doctor's usually use this just as a point of reference because so many other things can cause an elevated result. Very similar to the CA-125 test that way. Hope this helps...not a doctor just remember how hard I tried to find answers to the same question!
Avatar n tn Normal readings are different for everyone. I fell into the normal range and NORMAL wasnt working for me. My body needs to be slightly hyper, SLIGHTLY to make me feel good. I have a Dr that listens to my symptoms and not my numbers!! I feel good at a 1!
1327431 tn?1327072104 They should give you the range for FT4 when you call for test results. You need to know the position in the range, not just the result. If possible, always get a copy of the lab report and write on there how you were feeling and your med dosage at the time. These become very valuable for future reference. Also, I would lean on them hard to do the FT3 test. Explain that you are aware of the possibility of inadequate conversion of T4 to T3 and want to make sure of your FT3 level.
Avatar m tn Hello.I'm in the normal;healthy range?I'm 1_70 meters tall and my age is 16 years old.My weight is 64 kg.Should i start a diet?

Avatar n tn Sorry for this recent update Dr. Lupo but I forgot to mention my sleep patterns are way off , have periods of increased pulse rate, periods of nausea with episodes, and also break out with periodic hives for no good reason. (All this with normal labs.) (Something is going on but can't find out what.) PLEASE HELP I"M DESPERATE FOR ANSWERS. THANK YOU SO MUCH DR!!
Avatar f tn t have any back ache that often its just that I feel that my baby is small cuz the last time I went for my appointment, the doctor told me my baby weight was 2.1kg and its below normal range right? But she said its fine. I'm just worried why I don't have any symptoms like normal pregnant women. Is it normal not to experience water retention or ache? Thats all I'm asking. I hope I have a better understanding from people who have more experience than I do.
Avatar f tn This app doesn't account for the weight loss most women have.
Avatar n tn Definitely want the case for me but my midwife told me once that some women gain a lot, some gain a little, and some don't gain at all. There are a lot of women on here who are in the 30 week range who've only gained 6-8lbs so you're prob fine. If baby's growing that's all that matters. Definitely mention it to your doc though just to be sure.
Avatar n tn I am looking for a buddy to hold each other accountable on the journey of weight loss. I'm a diabetic in need of not only loosing weight but getting the fat off my stomach. I did really well on my own up until now. Diagnosed in 2005 with type-2 and was put on meds. Didn't like that too well went on a strict high fiber low fat diet. I was taken off meds as soon as I dropped weight and the a1c number to normal range. Did great until I hit my mid fourties.
Avatar f tn I believe that is a test for free T3 (FT3), not total T3. Since lab results will vary from lab-to-lab, they sometimes have their own slight variation in reference ranges. That said, the range for FT3 that I see on my lab report shows 2.3 - 4.2 Pg/ml. Your result is in the lower end of that range. If you have no hypo symptoms, that result is just fine.
178590 tn?1294176767 Ok so I'm almost at the end of my first trimester and to me I look huge......and everyone can definatly tell I'm pregnant. But I'm still not gaining any weight. I'm kinda worried because a book that my OB gave me told me that with twins you should gain most of your weight early since twins are usually born in the 32-34 week range. But I've lost weight....I lost 4 lbs. and then gained only 1 lb. Is this ok?
Avatar f tn I believe the reason for this to be that the data bases for FT3 and FT4 testing have never been purged of suspect hypo patient data, as was done for TSH, when the ref. range for TSH was revised over 8 years ago. Accordingly, being in the lower end of these ranges just doesn't work for us. You can read more on this on this link. http://www.hormonerestoration.com/Thyroid.html Usually someone that is hypo will have more symptoms than just low metabolism. Do you have other symptoms?
Avatar n tn The thyroid levels appear normal but the TPO suggests an autoimmune thyroid problem. At this point no treatment is indicated based on what you posted. There is an increased risk for thyroid dysfunction (more likely hypo (hashi) but also hyper (graves)) and also an increased risk for goiter potentially. Would monitor only at perhaps 6 month intervals.
Avatar f tn If you measure bigger than normal then they will send you for an ultrasound to find out weight. Also if you are past due and such depending on your doctor they will give you an ultrasound to see how much the baby weighs. Once you get into your second trimester they will not tell you weight because it is based off certain measurements of the baby they have to look for and it's not necessary.
Avatar f tn Some women in the obese range can use pregnancy as a way to overall lose weight by just eating normal healthy diet.
Avatar f tn You didn't state your height and weight!! http://www.fitnessmagazine.com/body-mass-index-sub/?ordersrc=googlesearch65936How-Much-Should-I-Weigh_test&gclid=CMWn5_nco8QCFWkS7AodrFoAmg Although the BMI ranges are the same for men and women, at the same BMI, women usually have more body fat than men.
Avatar m tn My question is now what? The doctor says my thyroid test was within normal range. But I know this has to be my thyroid. What test can i have him run on me that might tell us the bigger picture of what's going on with me. Thanks Tina H.
Avatar n tn Here is something that is quite common though for heavier women . . . they typically gain less weight! Some even lose weight. The theory of why some are heavier is because their calorie take in for the day is higher and usually it doesn't go up much if any once pregnancy so they actually either maintain their weight or lose some pounds as their body cooks that baby! My good friend lost like 5 pounds pregnant after starting her pregnancy over weight.
Avatar f tn 80), and T3Total 94 (normal range 87-167) I have not worked for over a year now, weight gain in the passed 2 years 25 pounds (never ever had weight problems), exhausted (want to sleep all the time) do not sleep well at all. My MD says these results are "normal" no need to adjust meds to me I see the tests in the low range of normal... Should my meds be adjusted?
Avatar f tn After I posted this, this morning, I did some surfing/Google, etc. They have different 'normal' ranges for men from women, I found. It appears from what I read that the upper limit of 'normal' ranges for women is 10.0. I'm not worried about being cirrhotic because according to my docs I'm no where near close to that. It was more of a curiousity type of thing. My last ultrasound from 1/3/11 meaures my liver at 17.1 cm, says 'The liver is enlarged'.
