The BMI that I use placed you into 29.5 BMI range which is obese; you would be under 25 BMI which is considered "normal" at 175lbs. However BMI is only so good, it calculates an average and doesn't take into account the very muscular. So for an example Arnold Schwarzenegger would be obese; his amount of muscles make BMI unreliable. I suggest you have a talk with your Dr and ask if you need to loose more weight.

5mths old and 120lbs that is not normal I havent heard of dog or any human in that matter putting on weight that fast!

I can also feel nodule underneath the skin (not sure if in fat of facia) and if these are pressed, the pain is tremendous, often radiating all over. what happen for me im obese before then I lost weight and become normal bmi 23 I take glucophage and birth control pills vit e and vit c for 6 month then following month I stop glucophage and birth control pills I get normal menstrual cycle for six month only I take vit e and vit c continue exercise normal bmi after 6month I notice that my period are starting to delay in a days or a week now 4month I never used any vitamin or any medicine.

There are many reasons for doctors to concern about ur bmi as u r categorised in obese. He has alot of reasons to be worried abt u. More weight u ll gain in next few months he ll hve to keep an eye on u. As normal person below 25bmi hve to gain between 15-20pounds in there whole pregnancy. If ur bmi is above 30 tht amount reduces. Because if u gain 2 much weight above doc given line theres so many u mite get which also include pre mature labour.

I never even thought of weight being my issue for ny epidural. I am over weight. My epi wore off with my 2nd.

OK, so I've just used an online pregnancy BMI calculator and I got the result as being "obese"!! I'm 34 weeks, 5'7 and 192lbs. Was about 155-160 prepregnancy. I go to the gym 4-6 days per week, still fit in all the same clothes I've been wearing since early second trimester...I don't feel "obese" at all!! I've obviously gained some weight but always get complimented on how great I look.

I doubt that any doctor would support a weight loss goal of 25 lbs. per month unless you would be morbidly obese. Most of the weight you would lose would be water weight anyway, and it would come back quickly. I recently consulted with a weight loss doctor who prescribed a sensible diet (moderately low carb) and the medication Adipex. That combination was magic for me. The diet resulted in rapid weight loss, and the prescribed medication made it easier for me to follow the diet.

I am concerned about my fertility as my partner and i are hoping to start a family (once my weight is in the normal healthy range). Could my issues be down to a hormone imbalance? What can i do to get my periods regular again and increase my fertility? Am i not ovulating currently? Anyone else experienced this? Freaking out!

I am 21w5d and have not gained any weight. I eat and take my prenatals every day, but still no gain. My doc said the baby is growing and she is measuring right on for how far along I am. Friends I know last a couple days and theirs are very light, my ones friend is obese and the other normal weight I guess, so I don;t think weight is a problem. I'm not obese, just a little overweight and I'm 18 years old.
