weight

Avatar n tn My son passed the newborn screening and I had the carrier test and it was negative. He is about 25% for weight and 39 % for height. He started out at about 50% for weight and height but has been at steady growth on 25% since 10 mos old. He does have issues with dairy so he doesnt get any so I always thought that was why is is on the smaller side. He has never had an issue with being sick even have Influenza A with no complications.

596218 tn?1219738938 If you have been going to this doctor, why have they not said anything about her weight and height to you before? A child’s weight and height are monitored from birth. As long as a child is steadily growing, no matter how slow, they are fine. Some children are genetically small so they may fall below the growth charts. If the child is not growing then, they normally suspect a medical condition or in some cases abuse stopping growth so numerous tests need to be done.
Avatar f tn Hello everyone! I am due on March 17th and last week my baby already weighed 8 pounds 5 ounces and I'm wondering if he is going to fit his newborn size going home outfit. What Do you think?
Avatar n tn long. The doctor said she is 25% for weight and 90% for height/length... I think I might have a scientist that could have been a model on my hands... tall and skinny...
Avatar n tn At 13, most teenagers are well into puberty and may be in the middle of or about to embark on growth spurts. Their height and weight may go through many changes in their teen years. According to the Centers for Disease Control, the average height for a 13-year-old girl is 5'1 3/4". Girls' normal height can range from 4'11 1/4" at the 10th percentile to 5' 5 3/4" at the 90th percentile.

3106038 tn?1346813169 If you are concerned request a growth scan my fundal height is measuring right on but my son has completely stopped growing since 28 weeks. For this and many other reasons I will be getting induced feb. 11th at 37 weeks.
Avatar f tn s dropped a lot of weight after birth, as they do at first, and is 3.2kg today and is between sizes prem and newborn. My first was the same though and initially wore prem and newborn for the first 6wks before going into 0-3mths and stacking on the weight.
6710217 tn?1386110892 s 2 month check up at their pediatrician entails. They get vaccines, check for normal growth of brain, length/height, weight. The usual stuff. They'll ask if you're currently breastfeeding, formula feeding, supplementing and bottle feeding. How well your baby sleeps at night, if they're co-sleeping or in their own crib. They'll just wanna know the simple stuff. Pretty much the same stuff at every appointment other than not receiving vaccines every time.
Avatar f tn Im 13 and I m very active I dont eat the greatest and I weight 135 is that normal?
1194973 tn?1385503904 When it comes to percentiles, is it bad for a child to be in the lower end? Kylie is showing to be in the 5th percentile and lower for height, weight and head circumference. I'm really nervous about if she is growing properly or not. At birth she was in the 50-75th for height and 25th for weight. Should it drop like that? The doctor didn't seem worried, but I'm not sure. She is 8 pounds 4 ounces and was 6 pounds 12 ounces at birth. She's still 20 inches long.
202436 tn?1326474333 I don't qualify at all since Elijah turned two in July, and this one's not due for 8 weeks today (YAY 8 weeks left!!!). BUT...I can tell you that Elijah fit a lot of newborn/0-3 month clothes for the first few months, even at 6 months he could fit some 0-3 month. I think it depends on the brands too...Carters always ran about right/a little small and Gerber was always BIG on Elijah. He was a long skinny boy. 7.10 lbs and 21 inches at birth, at 2 months 10 lbs and 24 inches.
676912 tn?1332812551 ll just say 20lbs) and she was 26 3/4 inches long. 95% in weight and 80% for height!! DH and I are both short 5'8 and 5'3 and we are little, so we are not sure where the height and weight are coming from, lol!!
7757724 tn?1396279586 Well I think they are pretty much in the same percentile although her head size is in the 60th percentile lol
Avatar n tn ve gained 24lbs and the usual recommended weight gain range is 25-30lbs Gaining more weight and at a faster rate can cause complications for both you and baby. You risk getting diabetes, and having more complications during delivery.
Avatar f tn I don't think so
1467697 tn?1286428419 Vitamin D3 is a good one to add for most thyroid issues. Magnesium and a good probiotic and fish oil is also a good idea for many. We take all suppliments at night. What thyroid medication are you on and how do you feel? Does your doctor track your freet3 and freet4 level as these are best to moniter and corrolate best with hypothyroid symptoms. Would love to chat with you and compair notes as it is not common to find others who were born without a thyroid gland.
676912 tn?1332812551 Just out of curiosity...this is a babies/kids thread. I know there's growth charts, and weight charts but how old is/are your child(ren) and what's their height and weight? Just curious of the ranges of children by age...actually I really just want to know if Elijah towers over anyone else's kid, lol...he's so much taller than all the babies in our play group...
Avatar m tn His T4 was low but TSH was normal. Doctors advised a repeat newborn screening and still T4 was low with normal TSH. Then TSH, Total T4, Free T3 and TBG serum test was ordered. The serum results came back with normal TSH and T4. But the Free T4 is a bit elevated. How do I intrepret the results? It was a sign of Hypo and serum tests show the signs of Hyper. Please advise.
Avatar m tn Prognosis The prognosis for normal newborn growth and development varies by the degree and cause of IUGR. Prognosis should be discussed with your obstetrician and pediatrician. Prevention Control risk factors during pregnancy, when possible. Avoid alcohol, smoking, and drug use, and get regular prenatal care. Complications Depending on the specific cause, IUGR increases the risk for a variety of pregnancy and newborn complications.
11827513 tn?1421384708 Hi, I am an hep b patient diagnosed in 2003. I am taking baraclude 0.5mg for more than 5 years. My new blood test and ultrasound shows that i have fatty and enlarged liver. My enlarged liver is now 4cm big. ALT is 48( normal range 0-44). My doctor told me not to worry about. He told me to loose weight and eat more green vegetables and fruit. My weight is 204lb and height is 5'8". Sometimes i have upper back pain overall i am pretty healthy.
Avatar f tn A normal weight can be anywhere from 92 pounds to 123 pounds for the height of 4'11" according to the BMI for that height.
Avatar f tn You use the formula BMI = mass/height squared. For you to be within normal range your BMI should be within 18 and 25. If less you are underweight, if higher you are overweight or heading to obese.
