Avatar f tn The nurse just called and said that after 4 days on Follistim/Menopur, my estrogen levels were "a little low" at 98 and they want to up my Follistim dose. Does anyone know what a "normal" estrogen level is at this stage? I asked her and she just said "oh, it's just a little low" but didn't answer my question.
Avatar f tn 1 Synthroid, with annual thyroid blood tests. When my TSH levels drop or rise above the normal range, the doctor adjusts my Synthroid dosage. I also have uncomfortable symptoms when I am not in the normal TSH range. Recently the doctor changed my Prempro dosage from .45/1.5 mg per day to double that amount. Do you think the change in Prempro could change my thyroid levels? Should I request new thyroid blood tests or wait for my annual testing which comes up in 6 months?
546318 tn?1328193635 If I am pregnant should my estrogen levels be higher than at time of ovulation or is it normal for them to go slightly lower? Any replies much appreciated! It's so confusing as they say estrogen causes low temp and pregesterone rises it, so you would think estrogen stays lower if preg, but someone told me that your estrogen levels should get higher if pregnant than they were at ovulation...
Avatar n tn Were any other androgen levels tests - LH, FSH, dhea sulfate, any testosterone levels, or SHBH? Estrogen and testosterone are related and estrogen comes from multiple sources.
Avatar n tn hello ladies, i just had my day 3 labs done ,and come to find out that my estrogen levels are extremly low, lt was 16. my obgyn told me not to worry about this and we would try clomid. ( which i know i dont have problems ovulating. i have been reading and i believe that estrogen plays a very important role in conceiving! am i wrong? do levels get higher throughout your cycle? has anyone had troubles conceiving with low levels? . can someone take estrogen supplements?
797256 tn?1237636468 I just had my hormones tested they tested LH, FSH, Estradiol I think that is (estrogen), that is it. They said they are in the normal range, now I got my insulin tested for insulin resistant and they said it came back in normal range, but the (family) doctor says he wants me to take the meds because of having all the symptoms of PCOS. 5 years ago I went to a fertility doctor (he got me prego) but before that he checked everything and said I have PCOS.
Avatar f tn I am not sure what you are describing comes from low estrogen levels. The wrinkles sound more like dehydration from the night sweats. Talk to your doctor and get some blood drawn and see what is going on with your hormone levels, don't let him or her fob you off with "it's normal." Be sure you are taking all your vitamins, as many as when you were pregnant or more, including iron especially. And get over to your doc! Good luck.
126702 tn?1240888250 4 pg/ml Sometimes the diseased thyroid gland will start producing very high levels of T3 but still produce normal levels of T4. Therefore measurement of both hormones provides an even more accurate evaluation of thyroid function.
Avatar n tn I read that a c-section can throw off hormone levels. Maybe there is a connection between female hormone levels and neuropathy.
Avatar f tn I had IVF implantation on Sunday the 3rd. Today I had blood work done at the Dr's office and my Estrogen and Progesterone levels dropped "a smidgen" according to the nurse. They are having me increase my Progesterone shots from 1cc to 1.5ccs and get an Estrogen patch. The nurse says that this doesn't mean that the procedure didn't take but I am worried. It sounds like a bad sign. My question is for other people who have had IVF. Has this happened to you?
Avatar m tn I hope your blood sugar levels are also normal, at your age, otherwise, it could also be a factor to be considered. Did you put on weight, how is your liver functions, have you had any change in life style related to diet, exercise etc., are you on any medication? all these can cause a drop in T level. Occasional mild pain in testicles may not be of any concern. Which part of your body did you have cancer ?, glad to know that you are strong enough to get over it.
1351105 tn?1277142905 No I have low estrogen levels for the past few months. My doctor did a test to see if I'm in premenapause. I'm very close to being in it. I haven't had a period in 3 almost 4 months. Last yeah I went almost 6 months without a period. I have endometriosis. Trying for another baby. No luck. It's been almost a year since we started trying. I've been having some crazy hot flashes since I got pregnant with my son and they never went away.
Avatar n tn I also do not have ovaries but I take estrogen. When my estrogen level gets rather high, my FSH is low (in the range of a menstruating woman). When my estrogen is on the lower side, my FSH rises.
Avatar n tn Last year, I was on the birth control pill (Marvelon 21) to regulate my periods which I had a lack of due to low estrogen levels because of, mainly, being overweight. I have not been on the pill since July 2007. I am just wondering, is it possible to become pregnant if I have not had my period for the past 4 to 5 months? Also, will I have difficulty in the future to get pregnant having such irregular menstrual cycles and taking the birth control pill so excessively?
1052633 tn?1311872678 i recently switched to another fertility specialist with more experience and when she looked @ my records from the other office, she informed me that my fsh levels are fine! it was my estrogen levels that are high. so what i was wondering was if anybody knew if by me having high estrogen levels, is that going to be an issue for the IVF procedure? i dont know if that's going to affect my ability to have a successful IVF procedure.
Avatar f tn I was about to start my fourth month of clomid tonight but just got my blood test results back. The nurse told me that my estrogen levels are a bit too high and that I should NOT take my clomid this month. Today is my cd 5 and my estrogen level is 162. Can anyone help me to understand what this means and why can I not do clomid this cycle? I am trying to conceive my first child and am very confused.
Avatar n tn Well, I'm really not sure if what a low estrogen level on day 3 indicates. According to fertility plus, you're levels are just below the normal range for day 3 (25-75), but they also say that the lower range is better than higher, since a high estrogen level can indicate lower ovarian reserve. Sorry I couldn't be more help...
7843530 tn?1395009668 I want to know what having an anovulatory cyst typically does to your estrogen levels. I'm using an ovulation microscope and I've gotten some odd readings here and there, so I'm wondering if my estrogen levels are abnormal because of the cyst my doc felt on my ovary. She said it was only a little enlarged and would probably resolve itself within a cycle, and I'm at CD 24 now, with first time full ferning this morning.
Avatar n tn the variable FSH levels are OK, a normal physiologic occurrence, that you can rest easy about. As far as requiring hormone replacement treatment, consider asking your gynecologist to measure an estradiol (estrogen) level - if you estrogen levels are OK, or more importantly unless you are having hot flashes, vaginal dryness, etc you may not necessarily need estrogen. Your symptoms of stomach bloating, belching, gas are not typical symptoms of menopause.
