Avatar n tn Would you say this is out of the normal range. I had blood work done about a month ago when I had my annual physical and my sugar level came back at 109. My doctor didn't seem to alarmed.
Avatar n tn ve been having troubles lately before I knew my blood sugar was high, after I would eat I would feel very bad, not knowing I had high blood sugar I was leading a normal diet, even some fast food here and there, I'm sure my blood sugar has been very very high until I started dieting now. Are those numbers normal or should I be worried?
Avatar f tn as an rn, we had to check peoples blood sugar 4 x day. per the lab reports the normal range was 60-110. we as nurses never gave the patient insulin unless they were over 120. your blood sugars aer in the norm range. any lower and you would be hypoglycemic. the A1c test is done separetly from your cbc. this test gives the avaerage your blood sugar has been running over the past 2-3 months.
Avatar f tn Hello, Normal blood sugars in pregnant women are actually LOWER than normal blood sugars in non-pregnant persons. The totally normal range in pregnancy is somewhere between about 65 and 100. A blood sugar of 79 30 minutes or so after eating is totally normal, and shows no signs of diabetes at all. You should be very pleased with this number. Of course, eat healthy and avoid excess sweets. Take regular moderate exercise. Wishing you a healthy pregnancy.
Avatar n tn We're not physicians, but have a lot of collective experience with diabetes. Please go further than your current doctor for a careful medical workup. Ask for a referral to an endocrinologist for a second opinion right away. While labs vary in what the "normal" range of a1c should be, in the lab work I've done recently your numbers are higher than the normal range.
1154802 tn?1266485720 What is the normal range for blood glucose fasting, 1 hour after eating and 2 hours after eating? I think mine might be a bit high...

Avatar f tn My ALT consistently came out higher than normal range, 57 and 73 to be precise with normal range upto 55. My blood sugar of fasting and after breakfast also came out above normal range and I am not diabetic. My question is that can high ALT cause blood sugar to rise?
Avatar f tn i am not diabetic but for some reason, for the.oast couple weeks i have been monitoring my blood sugar and its all over the place. the highest ive noticed was 281 after a big dinner and 2 minutes later it drops down to 113. any other ones are like, 232, 158 but i dont feel anything weird in my body at all. but my blood sugar when i woke up yesterday morning was 97 that was before breakfast. pls if u know anything about this, give an advice on wut to do.
Avatar n tn Hypoglycemia (Low Blood sugar) is a form of Diabetes. The other Form is Hyperglycemia (High Blood sugar). So yes you are Diabetic.
Avatar m tn I had blood tested months ago and i did ask from my family doctor about my blood sugar and she said, that is normal. I did check it out later and it appeared to be 5.8, for doc it was normal. Now i was able to test myself twice using strips, one after meal and one after waking up, both times it was exactly 5.8. After looking from internet things are little absurd cause WHO says i' am ok, but ADA says i am sick. Those things really do mess with my head, WHO i believe?
212161 tn?1599427282 If you are truly not a diabetic, meaning you have never been diagnosed as one or been tested and you know for sure, then your blood readings two hours after a meal should be close to normal. less than 120. But a non-diabetic can have slightly high readings if they've had too much food, or food that is high in sugars, carbs, etc. or a person who does not get any exercise. You also could be borderline diabetic and don't know.
Avatar n tn At dinner I ate lasagna, salad, sweet tea. Anyway 30-45 minutes after dinner, my blood sugar was 118. Is this normal or does it seem kind of high? At the doctor last year fasting it was 91. Also, I have been suffereing from severe fatigue after my long runs and have to basically sit down for the rest of the day which I hate. I am going to start to check my blood sugar after these runs to see what it is. I eat alot after the long runs but it does not seem to help.
Avatar m tn This morning i took my blood test (not a diabetic, trying to rule out low blood sugar that may cause some symptoms im having) and it ranged from 118 right when i woke up to 95 when i got moving. Is too much blood on the strip bad? should i just have enough on the strip to allow a reading and take my finger away? it seemed that my readings were lower when it got just enough blood to get a reading and i took my finger away. also, how fast does a sport drink like gatorade raise your blood sugar?
Avatar n tn A blood sugar of 198 or even 150 is not normal and is in the diabetic range. You need to work with your doctor to establish a program of diet (reduction of carbs), exercise, weight loss if needed, and possibly medication. Those numbers are too high and prolonged numbers in that range can cause diabetic complications. You need to test your blood sugar on a regular basis, fasting plus two hours after various meals to see how food affects you.
Avatar f tn Hello, with fasting BS in the 150 range you are already diabetic. Do you have any idea how high you go 2 hours after eating? With a HA1C of 6.1 your average blood sugar is already in the close to 140. Normal HBA1C should be < 5.0. Fasting blood sugar should be < 99. 2 hour after eating should be <120 (but ideally back to fasting level). Average blood sugar = (HBA1c x 35.6)-77.3 To prevent diabetic complications it is really important to control blood sugar early and agressively.
Avatar n tn Hello , I was just told by a receptionist at the office that my blood sugar level is 6.9 , which is slightly higher than normal but not diabetic.. I have problems with urination and semen leakage recently and checked for std but all tests were -ve .I also feel too much gas in my stomach and feel extremely uncomffortable .I am only 30 Year old.
1773108 tn?1314158067 Good Morning, I have a question about high blood sugar levels that don't seem to stabilize. My boyfriend has been struggling for years with high blood sugar. He told me this morning that his level was at 480+!!!! He says he doesn't feel any different whether it's high or low. The lowest it's been (to my knowledge) is still in the high range of 200+.
Avatar m tn So the temporary high will be well offset by the long term effect of that exercise. However, in a non-diabetic person blood sugar is very finely controlled and blood sugar will not vary much at all. A completely normal non-diabetic person (including athletes) will have blood sugars in the range of 70 - 120 all the time, with most numbers being at the lower end of this range (80-100). A completely normal a1c will be < 5.0 (about 4.3 - 4.6 is apparently typical).
Avatar n tn the normal range is 70-110
Avatar f tn It has dropped my LDL to 39-45 range and blood glucose ranges from 105-111 fasting. A1c 5.1 - 5.3. Prior to the statin I was below 100. I am not overweight, exercise consistently and eat very healthy. So the statin is the culprit. I am wondering if being stricter on carb intake and supplementing with Berberine will help? Or has anyone had better outcomes with other statins like livalo or pravastatin?
