Common Questions and Answers about No period for 3 months

period

I have not had a period for 3 months. And I got my period Jan 5th, today is Jan 16th and I still have my period and has not slowed down. Just yesterday I started feeling sick at random times and feeling like throwing up (mainly at night and mornings) I'm 18 years old turning 19 this year. I'm sexually active and had sex during my period. Can someone please give me an idea of what could be happening?
Hi I suggest you go see a doctor. But I wanted to tell you a story. I went to college in Asia (because I am an Asian). At the first year of college everybody gained so much weight. The reason, I think was we were studying so hard to prepare the entry exam to college, and once we got in, we were all the sudden relax, and the first time, far away our parents. all we did was eating. So all of the sudden we found we were so "fat" as young girls so everybody was trying to lose weight.
Condoms are probably the best form of contraceptive as they protect you from STD too but as we all know they can break.

About 3 1/2 months ago I went off my birth control pills and my period continued for another 2 weeks (after already having it for 1 week prior). I went to the doctor on she said that I had a small cyst, but it was because I went off my pills. My period stopped a day or two after I went to see my doctor, but now I haven't had my period for 3 months. However, this morning I woke up and thought I started my period, but by tonight there is no sign of it.
It can take a while after coming off borth control for the body to regulate and get back to normal. However I hjave heard that if a woman does not have a period for what is her normal cycle for 3 months she should visit the docs.
