menstrual-cycle

Avatar f tn I have now lost about 45 lbs since I quit the pill with the same hard work, exercise everyday and healthy eating. My period started again a week after quitting the pill on February 17 for a normal 5 days cycle. Just so close to last period cause of birth control. My next period started March 14 for another normal 6 days, but then I went 36 days without a period and finally got it for a normal 6 days on April 19. My next period was on May 16 (a 27 day cycle) and lasted a normal 6 days.
Avatar n tn Given that I was on the pill for so long, does it take time for my cycle to normalize? I have no idea what the length of my cycle was prior to starting the pill. Thanks for any advice.
Avatar f tn I got my period on the 5th of december. I took the morning after pill on the 14 of december. I then started my period again on the 22nd of december. Should I have expected for my regular period to come on the 5th of january? And would I have ovulated again after this second period?
Avatar f tn stress can mess up your cycle, so can diet and many other factors. have you started taking the pill or any other hormonal contraceptive? have you recently stopped using the pill, contraceptive? your doctor needs to do some futher investigation into this.
Avatar n tn No, HPV will not affect your menstrual cycle, there must be some other cause for it. Is there any possibility of pregnancy? Have you had a LEEP or cone biopsy at all due to dysplasia caused by HPV? It may be time to make an appointment with a doctor.
Avatar f tn anyone experience abnormal menstrual cycle post baby. My son is 2 months. I had my first cycle July 14 th which lasted over 3 weeks. I'm due this week & have yet to start!' ?!!
Avatar n tn Ive been to specialist and they said my hormone levels were down due to being underweight so i have tried to gain weight but still no period. I dont want to go on the pill are there any other ways other than the pill. Also in regards to pregnancy ive heard there are tablets you can take is this true? Can anyone help me im desperate for answers!!!
Avatar f tn Have you had your period the whole time you've been on the shot? I've heard that can happen. It's hard to say when it would stop because everyone is different when it comes to reactions to medication. It might only take one cycle but it might take more. If you want to start taking the pill after quitting depo, it's recommended that you wait until after your last shot expired to start taking the pill.
Avatar f tn I've been off birth control for 4 months now. Last month was my first attempt at tracking my ovulation using BBT and an OPK. Unfortunately I quit keep track of my BBT because I was on vacation, but I used an OPK the whole time and it indicated I ovulated cd 22 of a 29 day cycle. Is it normal to ovulate late after quitting BC? I've been on BC for seven years but have taken breaks up to 3-4 months before. Most recently I used the nuva ring for ~2 years without a break.
Avatar f tn t get a period within 6-8 weeks after discontinuing the pill, you may want to ask your doctor about some blood work. If you were my patient, I would check a preg test, an FSH level, thyroid and prolactin levels. I would also prescribe progesterone to jump-start your cycle. I wish you all the best!
Avatar f tn I want to know if it is possible to take the pill to regulate my cycle, as well as to lessen the cramps and the bleeding. I have had two periods since I had my son the first one was short and sweet but the second one was awful. I had to change every hour. I have never had cramps or extremely heavy bleeding but now I have both. I don't even get any relief pain wise until I take four pills. I don't want to get into to much detail but its bad.

Avatar f tn see if you had plan b the next day itself there is no chance of you being pregnant.. it might be an aftereffect of the pill.. plan b screws up the cycle also a bit.. it might cause your period to come early or late even.. so the best way would be to wait for your period... good luck..
Avatar n tn The chances of you becoming pregnant from that are very small, but it is possible. (pre-ejaculation does contain sperm.) Because the chances are so low, I'm not sure you'd want to go out to get the morning after pill. That pill really screws with your menstrual cycle. Just look at this as a leaning lesson. Next time, he should wear a condom, even if you aren't actually having sex. Use protection. good luck.
937837 tn?1285350385 I thought after you got ones levels into range the menstrual cycle was supposed to normalize. I have had about 3 50 day cycles since I was diagnosed and started meds. Before my cycles were 37, 49, 34, stopped taking birth control in mid October. Was just wondering if anyone knows if this is normal for a women with hypothyroidism?
Avatar m tn No. No one will be able to tell you that, because there is no one to know what effect the pill had on her body. The only thing you can do now is wait to see if it comes, and if it doesn't to take a pregnancy test.
