Hi there, Non-urgent question - sent to my cardiologist but he's out of town for a few days. I'm on Isosorbide mononitrate ( generic Imdur ) 30mg once a day, and I have an active scrip for Nitrostat as well, to treat my angina. If ever needed, can a Nitrostat SL be taken when I'm already on Isosorbide Mononitrate without harmful effect?

t know anything about that drug and I just want you to be safe when you get off of it. You see drugs like Methadone have a long shelf life in your system and take time to ween off. Drugs like my DOC, Vicodin doesn't have a long shelf life and is usually out of the body within 48-72 hours. I just don't know what category the drug your taking falls into. That's why you need more info. Can you get off this drug and have a clean life... ABSOLUTELY!!!

There is an expiration date for a reason! Drugs like everything have a shelf life, the older they are, the more inneffective they become. Get the prescription renewed, refill...

Agree with above, so long as it's not made with raw eggs or unpasteurised cheese it's perfectly fine. You'll find most if not all shop bought cheesecakes (particularly supermarkets) do contain pasteurised ingredients because they have a longer shelf life. It's more homemade you need to be wary of. Though having said that I love to make my own cheesecakes and I bake them so the raw eggs gets cooked. I love cheesecake! Enjoy!!
