I was diagnose with clogged arteries over a year ago. I even had a stent put in because one of my arteries was ecluded. I still had stable angina every time I did some for of cardio activity or is I ate something with sodium. I started using Nitroglycerin patches and even have the pills just in case my angina episode occurs.
I had a date and I read online that you can't take viagra and any nitrates cause it can drop your blood pressure really low.
m still on Betaloc.I went also for a Stress test which results for ST Depression and also for a CT Coronary Angiogram . Results was Normal Coronary Arteries. My question is what are the precautions I need to take to avoid any other chest pains and do I have a problem in my heart. Can ypu please clear my mind.

Then on Friday I had a stress echo, my second in six months, again definitely negative. I'm also on Prevacid so my cardiologist doesn't think it's GI related but he also doesn't think it's cardiac.
it was not caused by a blockage but by vaso-spasms related to unstable angina and I was placed on medications to try to manage this. (As per the Hospital Cardiologist after a heart cath)

Angina is very common when someone has had stent implantations. I'm on medications for my angina, which surfaced after my first heart attack..however, with the medications, I no longer suffer from any angina.

I am a heart patient with long time experience of angina, chest pain. When it is angina the chest pain gets worse when you are standing up and moving around. Gets less when you are resting. I take nitroglycerin under tongue for chest pain. If it doesn't go away in 15 minutes then I call my dr or an ambulance and go to emergency room. If your left chest hurts when you go to sleep it is not a typical angina pain. BUT you should check out any chest pain with a doctor.

My blood pressure does not drop between intervals...in fact I was told to have intervals of nitrate free period. It is true, nitro dilates the coronary vessels and prevents angina (chest pain). The patch should only be worn for up to 12 to 14 hours a day, or as directed by your doctor, but continued use with no interruptions can cause a tolerance for drug....

I have been having chest pain for more than couple of years,it is on and off.It pains when Im stressed or experiencing heavy emotions,it is like a biting pain in chest and leftside back if Im too stressed then sometimes my left arm pains it goes off after sometime.Im 27 male had blood and urine test and ECG checked before but the doc say everthing is normal .
Last months I had to call 911 three times, was in the hospital 2 times because of it. I underwent all tests there are for Angina cramps, even had an EKG done while cramping. I suggested to the doctors that i had Prinzemetal's Angina ( internet search by me) and needed a Calcium Channel Blocker in addition to the prescribed Imdur and sublingual Nitroglycerin for acute occurences. Sofar no doctor diagnosed me with it. I was released as very heart-healthy. No plaque, normal cholesterol.
