Avatar m tn So I guess from now on I have to program myself that when I get chest pain I will put a nitro pill under my tongue instead of a Xanax? It amazes me how when you are being discharged from the hospital they tell you. If you feel chest pain put a nitro pill under your tongue, if the pain doesn’t go away in 5 mins take another, if it still doesn’t go away then call 911. The make it sound as simple as; brush and floss every day.
Avatar m tn Since last few days I am observing that when I get up in the morning my tongue is coated white. I clean the tongue with a tooth brush and the white coating disappears and the tongue remains in natural pink colour throughout the day. Secondly, there is a small crack in the middle forefront of the tongue. My age is 81 years. I am not diabetic and my blood pressure is normal.
572651 tn?1530999357 I have nitroquik - sublingual nitroglycerin - to take if I have angina pains - this morning about 5 am I was miserable and couldn't tell if it was heart or ms symptoms and I took one. As always it stopped my discomfort, depressed my already low blood pressure and I went to sleep for about 3 hours. I've used nitroquik for the past 3 months or so and it always stops the pain and gives me relief within minutes.
Avatar f tn I am a heart patient with long time experience of angina, chest pain. When it is angina the chest pain gets worse when you are standing up and moving around. Gets less when you are resting. I take nitroglycerin under tongue for chest pain. If it doesn't go away in 15 minutes then I call my dr or an ambulance and go to emergency room. If your left chest hurts when you go to sleep it is not a typical angina pain. BUT you should check out any chest pain with a doctor.
Avatar f tn I have had pain under my left breast for a few days. I have MVP and a PFOI have also had swelling in my left leg/foot. It seems to get worse as i am more tired. Should I contact a doctor? could it just be anxiety?
Avatar m tn this happend after my fathers sudden death due to MI, when i was under deep depressiona dn fear for aperiod of 4 months .i.e from july to Nov 77.After that till this time ther is no problem and i have never visited a Cardiologist also. Avatar f tn If you miss a dose of Nitroglycerin Patch, use it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not use 2 doses at once. When used for long periods of time without a break, some people develop a physical need to continue taking Nitroglycerin Patch. This is known as physical DEPENDENCE. Do not suddenly stop taking Nitroglycerin Patch without your doctor's approval.
Avatar n tn Penegra Warnings/Precautions Penegra must be used under doctors supervision. Penegra must not be used by men who are taking any medications that contain nitrates.
Avatar n tn I, too have a bump under my tongue. It is right on the skin that connects my tongue to my lower jaw, so when i move my tongue, it hurts. It started recently, and has been recurring on and off. However, this morning it was at its fullest and largest size. It appears to be clear, with some sort of transparent fluid inside. It hurts when I eat, for it involved tongue movement. I do not smoke, chew tobacco, or anything of the sort, nor have I ever. Looking at it, it has gotten MUCH bigger over time.
Avatar n tn A small flap of skin under my tongue seems to be clogged(with fluid and puss) and enlarged. Perhaps this is a secretion gland? Is this something serious? I believe it is puss because I did manage to squeeze a white substance out of it. i also tried to puncture it to drain the fluid, but it did not drain.
Avatar n tn I still had stable angina every time I did some for of cardio activity or is I ate something with sodium. I started using Nitroglycerin patches and even have the pills just in case my angina episode occurs. I had a date and I read online that you can't take viagra and any nitrates cause it can drop your blood pressure really low. So I stopped using my nitroglycerin for about 48 hours so I can take the Viagra.

Avatar m tn My friends son has developed a lump under his tongue which is painful and has put him off his food hence weight loss. She lives in Indonesia where medical care is costly and does not appear to be up to the standards you would expect. He has been prescribed a steroid ointment (for topical use only ?????) which has reduced the size of the lump but it then returns when the ointment is not used. I have suggested she ask her GP to undertake blood tests fbc ue b12 folate but after that I am at a loss.
Avatar m tn Putting a Xanax tab under your tongue will help get it into your system a bit faster, but it still takes awhile for it to dissolve. I have found that chewing the tablet, (which takes nerves of steel because of the taste) into a fine powder, mixing it with your saliva then put that under your tongue for a few seconds, then swallow it. Please be aware that even this method will not stop an anxiety or panic attack already in progress, but it will bring some relief a little faster.
Avatar n tn Hi....I have a small pea sized lump under my tongue on the right side. It's located in the valley of my mouth between the floor of the tongue and the gum line. It is below the tissue. It is painless and has there for 2 years or so. It has not gotten larger. I asked my dentist about it a year and a half ago...but she said it was likely nothing. Is this something I should be more concerned about? Does anyone know what this could be?
Avatar n tn I am a 34 year old male. For the first time in my life, I saw an escort 3 days ago. I performed oral sex on her for maybe a minute unprotected, only the outside (not inside the vagina). She then performed oral on me, protected. After that, I did not have intercourse with her, because I could not do it. I'm married and just felt really guilty. I woke up this morning, with a couple of small sores under my tongue. It appeared overnight and I'm extremely worried.
Avatar n tn How can you better describe them? Are they a pale/white or are they dark? Are they only under your tongue, or are they throughout your mouth? Have you noticed any other changes in skin coloration (pigment) anywhere else on your body?? I would DEFINITELY get a second opinion and even a third before jumping to any conclusions that this is cancer; there are many disorders & conditions that can cause lesions in the mouth, especially lupus.
Avatar m tn I have a few protrusions under my TONGUE. They have been there for as long as I can remember. They are in the same spot on both sides, along the veins under my tongue.
Avatar n tn ed is correct nitro dilates vessels. I take a nitrate (isosorbide) for more than 6 years 3 times before going to gym for workout. My blood pressure does not drop between intervals...in fact I was told to have intervals of nitrate free period. It is true, nitro dilates the coronary vessels and prevents angina (chest pain). The patch should only be worn for up to 12 to 14 hours a day, or as directed by your doctor, but continued use with no interruptions can cause a tolerance for drug....
Avatar m tn The pain lasts anywhere from a few minutes to several hours. I have been prescribed nitroglycerin to take as needed for chest pain and this medicine surely helps. I've had several EKGs and cardiac enzymes done which were all normal. I also had a threadmill/stress test done which was normal. My cardiologist thinks the the probability of me having an occluded/blocked coronary artery is very low.
