In the meantime get a notebook and log the experiences and the duration. In some people these are triggered by light on the optic nerve, usually flickering light and usually (but not always) in the red spectrum (blink lights on a fire engine, or the flicker of a flourescent bulb or a CRT computer screen are common culprits). Wearing dark or polarized eyeglasses sometimes helps with the problem.
No itching or anything just burning sensation. It burn so bad I have to ball my feet up like a fist.

I was told that a number of restaurants add MSG to their table salt and it is a given in Chinese food. Best is to ask for non MSG containing food.
I have the same questions. My friend had a normal EEG and a normal MRI of the brain after having a random seizure....no previous history or family history. Doc still is recommending the he take 500 mg of Keppra twice daily for the rest of his life even with negative test results. He is hesitant and concerned about side effects. I will be interested to see if anyone can answer your questions regarding Keppra. I don't blame you for being afraid.
I believe I am suffering from olfactory hallucinations. In the past, the persistent smells have varied and been short lived. However, for about two weeks I have endured the same smell almost constantly. It is making me crazy and I don't know who to talk to about it. Do I start with my GP or maybe discuss it with the psychologist who is working with me in grief therapy?
Finally one day at work I had a grand mal seizure witnessed by several co-workers. I went to the ER and it was confirmed I had a grand mal seizure. My neurologist put me on Lamactal and said there isn't always a reason people have seizures - does this mean it could be epilepsy? It is important to be honest with your neurologist. I don't believe that your medical conditions are adequately optimized at this time.
