Eat protein within 1/2 hour of lifting. Drink a lot of water to flush the lactic acid out of the muscle. Then rest the next day, or work a different muscle group. Always let the muscles worked have a day to recover, or you'll just breakdown what you build up.

Fighting as a middle weight may be easier to withstand your opponents power, but you will lose your strength dramatically trying to fight in that weight class by November. I would recommend waiting until another bout to fight healthy and ready. That is my professional recommendation for you.

I believe Krill Oil is even better but it's more expensive. There is also niacin (look for non flush niacin) and L-carnitine. And of course look at your diet. May be time to try behavioral modification (if available) or other more aggressive weight loss methods -- there are no medications that will be safe/effective for this problem.

I eat a lower fat diet, exercise by walking 40 minutes 5-6 times per week, don't smoke, control borderline hypertension with 5mg lisinopril daily, have a BMI of 30 but don't have enough self control to lose any weight.

I take fish oil daily. Should I see another doctor for a second opinion. Should I have more tests done or am I worrying about this too much. I know 32 and being pregnant isn't easy on the body without added complications.

Avatar n tn I am bipolar and have taken niacin for years....I took 500mg of niacin the reagular kind not the no flush kind It did cause me to have a niacin flush (which is typical)...it has never caused me trouble with mainia only made me flush wich eased anxiety and caused me to be tired afterwards...It might affect others diffently though. Nician is a B vitamin and B vitmins can cause you to more energetic you shouldn't take them in excess esp if you have bipolar....
