I would think that large/most well stocked health food stores and pharmacies should stock the slow release B Vit's. Here in the UK I always go to Holland & Barrett's, they have everything you'd ever need and they are reasonably priced too. If you are in the states you could find it at GNC (who I think also do online orders). They have the "GNC Big 150 (Vit B)" which is a timed release one.
My grandmother suffers from tics and my mother has a dx of TS. I have suffered from tics since age 6. I am now 27, and my husband and I are hoping to begin our family. What are my chances of passing along this syndrome to my baby and is there anything I can do prior to or during my pregnancy to lessen the risks?

96. I went and had more blood work done monday and still have not received a call from my doctor. I am just nervous and feel bad. I was just talking with guys at work and they never heard of men having thyroid problems, and then I check on line and it is rare. I was just wondering if anyone here knows of any men who have thyroid problems? And if my 16.96 TSH is something to be concerned about. THANKS!
I've been taking 500mg metformin myself and I have not experienced any weight loss. I am actually taking it for diabetes treatment. But it has not helped with my weight loss.
So I dug up some more info that I wanna share ... in case you are dying of curiousity. Or need more info like I do. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http***mb.rxlist.com/rxboard/ultram.pl?noframes;read=3179 not just for breakfast anymore Posted By: mkny Date: Friday, 21 October 2005, at 3:53 a.m.
i had sex twice and everything was ok, and after the third time the problems began. my partner and i had hard sex and my penis hurt a bit when she was on top of me. i urinated a few minutes after ejaculating and blood came out along with a very big blood clot at the end. i had sexual intercourse about 7 or 8 times before seeing a doctor. the same occurred except for 2 times, in which no blood appeared.
I have been to about 30 doctors- including ENT's allergists, neurologists, chiropracters, opthamologists. psychologists, dentists and everything else u can think of. All CT scans, MRI of brain and blood work keep coming back clean and ok. Nothing I try seems to work. There was a period of time about 3 and a half years ago that the symptoms lifted for about 4 months and then it returned full force.
(I suggest Nature's Plus Herbal Actives Red Yeast Rice Extended Release 600 mg) Omega-3 fatty acids from fish oil and vitamin B3 (niacin), remain the champions of the supplements. Both fish oil and niacin boost HDL, plump up LDL particles, and reduce inflammation. flaxseed contains three ingredients that aid in maintaining heart health.
NADH an activated form of the B vitamin niacin, the amino acid L-theanine, and Omega-3 fatty acids can also elevate dopamine levels.
Your body is not “full of toxins.” When it is, your liver and kidneys are designed to handle those “toxins” and will do so far better than anything someone tries to sell you. 2. Diets only work when they restrict calories. 3. Your colon is fine and does not deserve to be regularly “cleansed.” Colonics have been around since the early 1900’s (maybe earlier) and the fact that they are still being used is only evidence of the gullibility of humans. 4.
(In the morning, I also take Lisinopril, Wellbutrin, Ritalin, Deprol, niacin, and Colace. Does anyone know if there is a problem with this? I am considering splitting the dose (discussed in this forum with Laura1967), but haven't done this yet. My inclination is to wait and discuss pill-splitting with my doctor, possibly after a follow-up TSH level is available. From the above quoted article, I surmise that "consistency" is the key again, as with timing in proximity to eating.

I do know that if I don't take them I swell all over, especially my right leg and foot and my hands and face. Do other people have this problem and if so, what should the diagnosis be for all this? By the way, I'm a 62 yr. old female.
RRP in 11/2006. PSA 0 since; Depression since 2003; ADHD first dx 1982; and Hypertension since 2008. My next scheduled MD appointment is next Monday, with a hematologist/oncologist, to assess the platelet clumping, as well as some unexplained bruising, followed by my PMD the following Monday. I was assessed for this once before, in 2005, with negative findings. Clumping at that point in time was attributed to an anticoagulant agent in the test tubes, rather than any medical condition in me.
it got to the point where i got so depressed and sick, where everytime i did the fake burp i would feel like i had to throw up or feel like i couldn't breath. i have ADHD and OCD also. I can hide my tics very well. My friends don't know i have TS, but lately i can't control it as much as i use to when i was a bit younger (12-13 years old) and kids started mentioning it. So glad you are choosing to join us. This is the place to be if you want off Tramadol. Lots of love, information and empathy here!
good carbs, high protein low sodium, low cholesterol etc) plenty of calories, a half gallon of water a day, electrolyte replacement after intense workouts essential fatty acids, enough electrolytes, fish oil, multivitamin, niacin (heredity and past history of low HDL). 8-9 hours of sleep like I said everything by the books. He did retest the tryptophan, pp, and niacin. I am so confused because I had sent my records to Dr. Odorisio in Iowa because he is getting a Gallium 68 scan in the next 4 months, that should pick up very small tumors, and I wanted to be on the list. Lori, Dr. O. called me and said from my symptoms and records, he does feel I have "Carcinoid Complex." He thinks I should go on Sandostatin and said he has seen several people in the last 2 months who have flushing as blotches on legs.
It makes me very angry that these Doctors know and aren't telling people. I don't believe that they are ignorant. I've been over and over it again and again. It makes no sense that I would know more as a user of the drug than they would. There's so little on Tramadol or Ultram on the web. Tons on other drugs. Ok so the most alarming part of the Tramadol we would think would be the fact that it is a synthetic opiate. It's a Narcotic. It's just been slipped thru the schedule.
Hello, I have a 9 year old daughter who was born without her thyroid gland. So I can relate to your frustrations with his doctors, and hypothyroid symptoms causing issues for him at school. Most people are clueless to how thyroid disease can effect you if not being treated correctly as your son has been. It is not his fault and he can feel so much better if you can get his freet3 and freet4 levels up into the higher side of normal range.
But many are only meant to be used for short terms. ADHD and anxiety are ones that are abused by the use of drugs. ADHD is more or less a phase that usually will go away if treated correctly. All I want to say is do what works for you. But don't stop on just meds as the only treatment. Would you go to a Cardiologist if you where having a baby? Than why would you go to a general physician for anxiety issues and have them give you a drug.
I take selenium at about bedtime and almost immediately getg a strong feeling of akathisia and a burning of the skin with flush (like the sensation and flush of niacin). The next morning, I feel fine, but with my first dose of Adderall I a big case of akathisia again. I'm trying to figure if I should stop the Adderall.
Sometimes at night when I go to bed, I go to lie down and where that feeling is, it will grab, and I have to move my left arm a different way until it relaxes. Sorry I couldn't help much more. Take care!!
Started 2 days ago. When standing it comes and goes in 10-15 second intervals. Sitting in bed now and it's gone. I hear a lot of talk about nerves which makes sense - growth of cysts can put pressure on the nerves cant it? Help - please keep me posted. I will keep you all posted too.
I'm new to this board and am hoping that you ladies can help me. I am thinking about trying macafem supplements and wondered if you have tried them and if you got an results? How long did it take to start working? I'm at the end of my rope and need to get some help fast! I'm currently 42 years old and started into menopause around the age of 38. I'm not sure if I have "normal" meno symptoms or not but I have been tested and that's what it is.
The pain was excruciating and traveled through my breast and shoulder, but was gone in a few minutes and I was able to continue class. Also, I was in the desert for a few days and it went away but returned about a week later. I fairly certain it isn't stress/anxiety as the trip out of town was not relaxing. The breathing seems better when I stand/worsens sitting down, and I may have been standing more than usual on the trip. I am feeling so frustrated, scared, and depressed.
I have recently been taking more vitimins, lysine I have been taking (which promotes enzyme production, and healing). Also a little niacin. But I have taken that before. I'll look forwrd to more news from you. And I'll post as I get any information. By the way, my ct scan and mri didn't show anything unusual. I have Kaiser Permanente in Cleveland OH.
I had all those electric shock feelings as I was healing and it got much worse rather than better for a few months after quitting the vitamins. And the stabbing, burning pain. Now, it has been almost seven months and the pain is almost gone. I am not myself again yet as I too used to be physically fit and now have lost a lot of muscle strength. I still have twitchy muscles too. But, I know I am healing and your boyfriend will too.
