nexium iv push

Anyone out there on Protonix? I was diagnosed with acid reflux and was put on Nexium which helped slightly with my burping but I was still getting stomach aches. I went for an abdominal ultrasound, endescopy and CT scan with IV contrast and all came back fine. My Dr just switched me to Protonix.

I know I have Acid Reflux. I just had an endoscopy done on Thursday morning (with a Bravo capsule) and haven't gotten the results back yet. I did have to get off the Nexium a week prior to the test but felt alright. Since the test I've had horrible heartburn like I've never had before. I also can't eat or drink anything without difficulty. I've never had that problem before.

I am.trying to.wean myself.off nexium after 10 yrs, as I feel food has been.fermenting in my stomach, symptoms r.reflux hrs after eating bringing up.food, smelly wind, sore bowels, itchy nd burning bottom. Iv put lots.of weight on and have bone and joint pain 24-7. I feel original symptoms were due to emotional problems and depression not being treated, my doc is not interested in.helping cus of budget cuts, I'm.

My doc prescribed me 40mg nexium for the next month to see if it helps with my reflux. He told me to take it with food since the stomach cells need to be active (food activates them) for most benefit. That is in complete contradiction to the label, which says to take it 1hr before eating. I have taken other PPIs and they also suggest the 1hr before eating rule.

s leaking/dripping and gushing urine. He was taking a medicine for two weeks previously for gerd called esomeprezole (nexium) which was causing him to be incredibly thirsty drinking huge amounts. We stopped themedicine and the thirst is better but incontinence remains. We've had multiple tests, urine, blood, diabetes, MRI, ultrasound all normal. The drs are baffled! I'm at this moment in hospital awaiting a urilogy Dr on monday .

My cardio took me off the nexium and put me on pepcid. Google plavix and nexium to get more info on this subject or go to the FDA website.

ok so i found out i was pregnant on the 15/11/10 im only just 4 weeks but iv had acid indigestion now for bout a week has anyone else had it this early ?????iv never suffered with it ever b4 but just now its driving me MADDDDD !!!!!!!!!! i dont suppose it helps that i feel nauses am not actually up chucking yet so prob when i do it may relieve it a little what do you guys think????

Hello, I had 2 iv contrast CT scans done within a months time June 13 and July 12. On my 2nd scan I had a delayed reaction of itching, redness on the skin of my eyebrows and nose plus a red goosebump type rash below my breastbone. I took benadryl and the redness cleared up within a day and the rash is almost gone. On July 14th I started to feel like there was a lump in my throat and took more benadryl which helped but made my throat really dry.

The ultrasound came back normal and my upper endescopy showed Grade A Reflux and Gastritis. The Dr gave me Nexium, but I was still getting upper stomach pain and pressure in the chest an back. I was switched to Protonix and it seemed to help with the upper stomach pain right under the breastbone. I'm taking two pills a day. Does anyone know how long Protonix takes to work? I was told that some PPI's could take 4 to six weeks to take affect.

I been feeling uncomfortable down south like I need to push. Its like a bubble and I been having really thick white oder less discharge as well as gushed of clear semen smelling discharge. .

Back in March of 2011 I started feeling ill. My doctor thought I might have had an ulcer. She gave me Nexium. Between May and August I started feeling too sick to sit up. I eneded up going to a specialist hopeing to find a true answer. He did an endoscopy and did find that I had two duodenal ulcers. He started me back on the Nexium. For a time I did feel better. About a week before christmas I ate a bad egg and was horribly ill for weeks far longer then I should have been.

The results came back that I had a 36% gallbladder ejection fraction. It says it is in the low end of functioning. When I received the CCK IV the syptoms that I have had for the last 1 1/2 months recurred briefly. Since the scan yesterday I have been in the same continuous dull pain in my upper right quadrant. I have been taking Nexium for 2 1/2 weeks now and it helps marginally. They ruled out ulcers with the scope down my throat.

He followed up with his doctor on this and I do not think they did the right thing by giving him Nexium. Since he has been on the nexium he has gained 20-30lbs and is now feeling bloated and worse than before. I just do not know what to do about this anymore. I do not know what it could be caused from. If maybe I could get a diet for this type of thing so i knew what kinds of foods that would be best for his stomach and or a better diagnosis. Could this be IBS? We will be following up with a G.

Yes, Nexium is completely safe to take with hepatitis C.

Has anyone else experienced only nexium working? I have used all other medicines and they don't seem to work, but now my insurance company wont pay for it.

my insurence does not pay for brand Nexium. Only brand Nexium works. The company who makes Nexium will ok brand if I have a rejection from my Ins. Co. I called my Ins. co and they said that the do not send papers out that they do not pay for brands. Hello, I am 16 turning 17 in May. I started taking Nexium in 2013 in August. I have a severe case of Acid Reflux. My esophagus is mildly burned. I have no ulcers. Ever since I was 5 I had acid reflux disease for years we couldn't figure it out neither could my mom she just thought I had bad morning stomach aches until she became an EMT paramedic in 2010, ever since she figured it out we've been looking for medicine to help.

while I was on 6-80mg Nexium a day, I had weird and chronic gastro-viruses and I believe Nexium kills all the acid in your stomach and then you are more prone to stomach viruses.

I had iv and trust me it does not last long at all and my Dr would only give iv meds once during labor.

m still getting some lightening crotch but I def feel stretching too every time that he moves!

I have nausea for about a week, as I did with the others, but now when that passes, I have terrible reflux, and stomach burning before I finish half a meal. I was already on Nexium. Two weeks ago, my dr. called in carafate suspension. I used it with nexium. I was to have the 3rd dose of doxil this past week, but Monday nite, I ate a small bowl of softened raisen bran, and had terrible stomach burning, and then threw up 3 times before it stopped at 2 am.

Thanks, No family history of this, my doc just tells me to keep taking the nexium, but id like to get off them. He doesn't think I need another scope, should I push him for another. I'm off the nexium for a week now and don't feel too bad. Almonds seem to work well after a big meal, wonder why.
