my insurence does not pay for brand Nexium. Only brand Nexium works. The company who makes Nexium will ok brand if I have a rejection from my Ins. Co. I called my Ins. co and they said that the do not send papers out that they do not pay for brands. My company is changing insurance and the nexium is going to rise considerably in cost when we swich to cigna. I need a cost effective alternative to discuss with my doctor. The Nexium has been very effective for me. I wish I didn't have to change.

Is anyone out there taking Teva's version of Nexium? I'm to the point now where I can't get the brand. I was astonished to see that this generic version's co-pay through my insurance is so high! $80 for 90 days. I could understand this price for the brand, but for generic? Anyway, I had tried this version as I had to with my last insurance, it and I didn't do as well on it. I tried it for a week. I an wondering if it was just my imagination.

It SHOULD be in the vitamin section at wal mart....if not, Walgreens has it for about 6 to 8 bucks. Health food stores carry it as well! Good luck!

I was curious to know if anyone out there has or is taking this new drug that Walgreens is using to replace the Armour? I was taking Armour 90mg 5 days a week and 60mg the other 2 days. This drug is still available as a generic, it looks like the price of the drug has increased due to higher cost for Walgreens to purchase it. I'm afraid the other drugs available for BPH will probably be as or more expensive than Doxazosin, but I would check with your local Walgreens pharmacist for more price options.

s like $25 for a month and a half supply BUT they do have an off brand like store brand that could make it cheaper. I got mine at walgreens.

I have used the test from walgreens... its easy. Just follow the directions and send it off with a money order... I think it only cost like 175 bucks if I remember correctly... as with any test you will have to wait a little while. I think I got mine back in 6 weeks. I do know that most insurances don't cover the test since its not a medical necessity. I strongly suggest the over the counter test from walgreens...

The active components in Nexium are esomprazole magnesium and in Prilosec are Omeprazole Magnesium. Also, Nexium comes in 20 mg and 40 mg capsules and Prilosec is sold over the counter in 20 mg tablets. My GI switched me to Nexium because Aciphex gave me terrible side effects and Protonix made my water brash symptoms ever worse. I have tried Prilosec in the past and it didn't have much of an effect for me.

I do get my rebif from Walgreens and only have a copay of 9.00. I decided on Walgreens instead of getting it by mail. I was worried about the side effects and did not want three months of rebif at one time just incase my body would reject it.
