I went to see a new Endocrinologist today. I think she was very good. She is joined with our University hospital. She automatically included vitamin D testing. Has the frees in there. Is testing my cortisol levels with a 24 hour urine analysis. She placed me on Byetta for my Diabetes because it supposedly helps with weight loss. I have to get my nerve up to inject myself. I have never done that. But she listened to me and she asked questions.

This may be a tinea versicolor which is a fungal infection.This type of fungal infection may present as white patches on the skin and there may be very fine scales present on affected areas.They are not very itchy and the borders are not as well demarcated compared to vitiligo which may also present with white patches.
Applying topical antifungals may help. Keep the area dry and clean. Do not scrub or allow wet clothes to dry on the body.

ve been on Doxycycline for almost 6 weeks now and I did feel a little bit better for a while. However, I still have a couple of symptoms left -- one is this burning pain on my skin.
