After popping each lesion, I have been covering each one up with Germolene New Skin which is very similar to a liquid/spray plaster but is more accurate to apply. After a bit of research, I assumed that perhaps I was causing them to spread by popping them (Despite carefully trying not to allow blood to spread and also use alcohol to sterilise). So for the past month I have simply left them alone, but still using the Germolene New Skin to cover each lesion up.

Although you still may catch the herpes virus even though you use protection, the dry patchy skin that you noticed on yourself may not be herpes, but a localised dry patch of skin, may be an allergy to soap or dermatitis. Rub some moisture cream that is also antiseptic or an antibacterial cream like germolene, sudocrem, doublebase, your pharmacist may have a suitable cream. Herpes normally comes out like blisters and sores that run along the nerve route.

I agree with Jemma, it sounds like an infection that needs to be seen by your Doctor, as you probably need antibiotics either by local application, or oral medication at this point.

) Anywho, i have an anaesthetic cream as i know its suggested to women who have these symptoms. Thing is, its also antiseptic (germolene) and im afarid if im using it regularly, it might harm the friendly bacteria in my vagina (tho im only using it on the outside) so im wondering, even tho it does seem to work in numbing the area (even helps my painful urethra sometimes) i wondered if anyone could suggest a better one? a gentler one maybe thats been really usefull for you????

p.s. if that doesn't work your new doctor can prescribe a drug called Mebendazole. This requires a prescription. let me know how it goes.

Stay away from things that dry skin out such as tea tree oil. Avoid the sun, your skin will burn. Wear long skeeves and hats. I got sunsleeves online that worked really good. It goes away when you are done with meds. Your hair may change and become very dry, scalp may become sensitive also.

Hmm. It could be that you developed a skin sensitivity while pregnant. If your other soap was not causing it id switch back.

When it is very cold than the hives are due to dry skin but in sun they also burn a bit and there is far more skin problems,in winter almost no and the best for my skin is humid weather. But does your skin problem look like urticaria? Because urticaria can be expression of almost every skin disease, for example but not only allergies.

Also, be sure to wear sunscreen to protect the new skin- sun exposure can change the color of the new skin. If you are concerned, you could see a dermatologist. Good luck.

Definitely wash them! Clothes, blankets, trowels...anything that will be touching baby's skin. Lots of chemicals in new products.

There is no harm that i can think of that can be done due to any contact with your blood on his skin.If you are really worried about it just call your vets office and ask them.As far as the spot he might have rolled in something and it just stained his fur.I am sure that your puppy will be fine.

I always wash new cloths because a friend of my family went shopping and bought a turtle neck and got that flesh eating bacteria. She has big patches of skin that they had to do skin grafts on. So yes I am going to wash everything my baby will use cloths, blankets, cloth toys. You just never know what kind of funk is on things these days.
