This is a great group and if you aren't familiar with them, I would recommend you check out their website - honorflight.org This group's goal is to take all WWII vets to the WWII memorial in DC- They are dying at a rate of 1,000 per day.

Avatar n tn , meaning that patient will start to recover very fast during the first 3 months following the injury and then the recovery rate decrease with time (but there is always a recovery process going on). Additionally, I can see that the major concern you have is your ability to speak clearly and the others being able to understand what you are saying, right? O.K, I am a physical therapist, We don't prescribe medications.
Avatar n tn He used Perspex plastic which is the plastic that British fighters in WWII used in their canopies (e.g. Spitfire). He noticed that when these fragments went into the eye during the war that they were well tolerated and caused no inflammation. After the war he contacted the company and they made tiny IOLs made out of this material. While other materials are now used.
Avatar m tn Just thought I'd throw this out there, hopefully it will help some of you. I was a previous worried well with a NO RISK analysis and with negative tests to back that up. Yet I could not get it out of my mind that I'd been infected! I eventually I'd begun to show numerous symptoms. Even at times where I thought I'd begun to calm down, a new symptom popped up! I had it all, night sweats, aching muscles, rashes up one side and down the other!

Avatar f tn m old, and remember when antibotics were brand new and reserved for WWII soldiers. We sometimes have to have patience but be very pro-active. In the 1940's, we were rolled in rugs to keep from struggling and a hot needle penetrated our ear drums to get rid or earaches. We've came a long way, but patience is important along with pro-active behavior.

Avatar f tn So my doctor gave me a list of meds i can take safely during pregnancy but I moved and misplaced the list. Ive sucked on cough drops and ive taken two tylonal extra strength like an hour and half ago. My fever broke after it started working and I was able to do a little bit of moving around (not much though). Usually when I take a pain reliever/fever reducer the symptoms usually subside for a few hours atleast. But my fever is back and all the aches as well.

1301089 tn?1290666571 I am pleased that these patriots have been brought home. I hope that all of us remember that "flying the hump" was one of the most dangerous air missions of WWII. My dad was in the Air Force in Europe but he talked to me about his particular issue to make my young mind understand the dangers the soldiers faced in that war. If you'd like to learn more about Flying the Hump, please see: http://en.wikipedia.

203342 tn?1328737207 It was the true story of a woman who saved 2,500 Jewish children during WWII. It was so good! Did anyone else get to see it? You know, I love Hallmark movies! They're always good, decent, clean movies. No swearing, sex or violence, just a good story. Boy, is that hard to find anymore these days! I love these type of movies!
