Started having daily migraines again so went to my chiropractor. She worked on my cervical spine and neck. The pain in head and neck went away. So did the daily migraines.
Avatar n tn Your right. A neck problem can cause headaches. Have you had your neck checked out? I would definitely do such. If you leave it unchecked and untreated, the problem could worsen. Hope you feel better soon and see your PCP!!

Avatar f tn The problem is that now the pain is down in my neck and I can hardly turn my head from side to side. The pain feels almost like a burning pain in my neck and major stiffness. I don't see how sinus problems could last for this many months. Can sinus issues also make your neck hurt and be stiff? I don't know where to turn next. The neck pain and the ear noise is definitely getting on my nerves. Does anyone know what could be going on?
Avatar m tn I am in so much pain in my scrotum area and leg, does that mean the virus is not latent and running up and down my nerves or because I am not experiencing OB but nerve pain, do I have nerve damage? Confused as to how to control the nerve pain, Wondering if herbs such as Olive Leaf Extract, co-enzymatic Vit B complex, could help with the nerve pain. I don't believe the Valtrex is working for me; Side affect is a very bad headache.

Avatar f tn If you use computer a lot or read a lot then the symptoms of headache, dizziness, neck pain, numbness etc could be due to compression of the spinal nerves in the cervical spine region. This can happen due to overuse of computers, work involving straining of neck, herniated disc, canal stenosis, bone disease, spondylosis, poor posture etc. A MRI of the cervical spine and nerve conduction studies may be required. Please consult a neurologist.

Avatar f tn Nerve pain by leosa Leave a Note Send Message Add as Friend leosa Member since Mar 2009 , 7 minutes ago I've injured my neck at work, and had disk promblems in many levels in my neck. (levels c3-c7} I went to see a pain specialist and she wanted me to give me a series of three shots to manage the pain. The first cortisone shot didn't seem to hel. On my neck visit, the doctor gave me the second shot. It was given to me on my back near the shoulder blade are.
Avatar f tn I try heat, ice, rubs, you name it and nothing helps. I believe it is some kind of nerve pain as it is somewhat like shingle pain but no rash. Can you give me some advice or help, Please.
Avatar f tn I am not sure if I pinched a nerve in my sleep but I can feel a knife between my shoulder blades and the pain causes burning sensation to go up to the back of my head when I am relaxing at night (there is dull pain there all day long) this is in the area of the occipital nerve. Had MRI/MRA of head and neck with no results as to why I am experiencing this pain. I heard taking muscle relaxers will make it worse on the nerve. I was interested in trying accupunture...how did that work for you?
Avatar f tn Do you have a question? Are you diagnosed with MS or in the diagnostic process?
Avatar m tn I also have severe pain in my neck when I turn it to the side or up and down.I was assured that by now I would be pretty much pain free but here I am asking why I'm not!! I had an appointment in May and June, and in the doctors notes he stated if I didn't improve then he wanted to do an MRI and CT scan with contrast and a nerve velocity test.I would really appreciate another opinion of what is going on with me.I was injured on the job and haven't received the best medical treatment.
Avatar m tn It presents with one sided pain in the temple area ( not neck pain), jaw pain and pain when chewing. It is associated with elevated ESR in the blood ( an inflammatory marker) and needs to be treated with steroids ASAP as it can cause vision loss. Again it is highly unlikely that you mother has this. Occipital neuralgia seems more likely. I hope this helps. Good luck.
Avatar n tn I had a pinched nerve in my neck and shoulder blade and I only felt the pain in my hand and wrist! Try finding a chiropracter to help you. I have had multiple pinched nerves over the years and they always seem to help me....

Avatar m tn I have no other symptoms besides the head/neck pain, and the occasional flushing/burning of my face and ears. I have seen a neurologist, PCP, and orthopedic doctor. I have also been going to an acupuncturist for quite some time now, and I have also been seeing someone who does bodywork/myofascial release work. My neck muscles feel very tight but there is no way to loosen them up. I had one MRI scan of my brain which showed up normal.

Avatar m tn the same time the neck pain started, which was about a year after hitting the back of my head hard on rising from a bent over position. I also have mild swallowing issues which started first, about 3 months after head knock. My tinnitus, which my ENT blows off, changes with head motion. My primary tinnitus, which I have had for years has also become much worse and is now aggravated when I clench my teeth or bite down hard.
Avatar f tn Hello, The first possibility is of a spinal cause like cervical stenosis or degeneration which is causing nerve irritation. Nerve irritation may present with pain in the neck and when movement of the neck is there from side to side if cervical spine is involved and tingling and numbness in the upper extremities. Any spinal cause in the lower spine may be associated with tingling in the soles of feet and legs.
