Nerve pain breast augmentation

Common Questions and Answers about Nerve pain breast augmentation

breast

I have since had the expander removed (three weeks ago) and had the right 4'>breasted lifted and augmented to match the left. The areola and 4'>nipple of my right <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>breast is very tender, It almost feels like when I was 4'>breast feeding years ago. There are a couple of very small white dots and a couple of pink raised areas but I think they were there before the surgery. Is this 4'>nipple tenderness normal, I thought if anything, my 4'>nipple would have less feeling.
I would absolutely call the dr. that performed your surgery about the burning pain. That sounds like nerve pain. And while you've read that some have dealt with it for a long time, perhaps your doctor can shed light on what you can expect and if there is anything you can do. definitely call and follow up. good luck PS: my good friend had a reduction and was so much happier afterwards. Hang in there. . . . give it some time and it could get lots better.
Had elective surgery on 7/12/07 (<span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>breast augmentation and a tummy tuck). Was on the table for 4.5 hours. Immediately after surgery (or 2-4 days later) I experienced significant tingeling in my left arm, lower (below the knee) right and left knee, numbenss to my lower right knee, and significant pain on the inner parts of both my left and right knee. I also had the loss of funtion of my left thumb and left forefinger (unable to make th "OK" sign).
She spent a large amount of time one the 4'>breast and I experienced HORRIBLE shooting pains when she sonographed 2 parts of the 4'>breast (one closer to the outer lower 4'>breast and one near the inner 4'>breast right next to the 4'>nipple) which instantaneously brought tears to my eyes and created an intense burning pain. Over the weekend I randomly felt this burning pain along with a shooting pain starting where I initially found the lump to halfway down my upper arm.
I went in to get a CT a couple of years ago and was told that it was only excess <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>breast tissue; thus I am not too worried. However, I do feel slight pain if I press on it (I assume it is normal because the rest of my 4'>breasts are sensitive in the same way). I also am very self conscious about the way it looks when I wear sleeveless shirts. I am considering getting it removed. For those of you who have gotten your excess tissue removed, was it done surgically? What was the price range?
I thought I was going crazy. I had <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>breast reduction Aug 2006. I had 12 lbs removed. When it gets cold out, my 4'>breasts hurt so bad that I have to take something and put a heating pad on them. I too asked the Dr what it could be and was told it was scar tissue. I also get tightness. The only thing that seems to help is a sports bra. I do get the itching on my right 4'>breast. I am not worried about any of this since the mammogram was fine. I guess it's all part of the program.
I recently had a 4'>breast lift and augmentation 2 weeks ago and have noticed a nerve extending from the bottom of my left <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>breast when I lift my arm up over my head and it seems to extend down toward my abdomen. This is causing me some pain and concern. Did the implant get put in the wrong area? is this a nerve or ligament? Can you help?

Hi all...Long story short...I had <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>breast augmentation 10 years ago in Aug 2002. The past two years I have been having major back issues and nerve pressure. I am currently a 36DD. anyway just had spine surg for a herniated disc on L5/S1 level...Still having nerve pain along with BAD upper back burning and stabbing pain along with my neck, R arm and shoulder hurting. So I am wondering if all this is due to my 4'>breasts being too large..???

What you have is probably Scalene Myofascial Pain Syndrome. When scalene muscle is the cause of pain, the pain is referred to chest, inner lining of scapula (shoulder bone), shoulder, posterior and lateral sides of the arm right up to the thumb and index finger. It is also possible due to peripheral artery disease. Peripheral neuropathies as in diabetes, chemical burns due to any deo or lotions you use, peripheral nerve compression are the other possibilities.
Hi all. I had an ablation 4 weeks ago and since that time I have been experiencing chest tightness, pressure, and sharp pains in the heart. I am seeing my doctor on a weekly basis to determine the cause and 4'>undergo treatment. Following a work up of tests (echo, nuclear stress, ekg, etc.) the doctor has determined that everything in the heart is normal and that this "discomfort may be something that I just have to ride out.
They thought I had bursitis but they injected me with steroids and nerve blocks but to no relief. I was in a constant high level of pain. Nothing notable or major came back on my MRI scans. They did the die tests too. Even when they were doing the surgery all they said they saw was inflammation and a slight split of my bicep. I thought there was for sure more but I could never pin point the pain.
I am having cosmetic surgery (I am know to this board hense really do not want to give my name, kind of embarrassing (sp)) anyway I'm having a <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>breast augmentation. I am now on Lortab twice a day and oxycontin 20m nightly. I have been told that the surgery is quite painful the first couple of days. My problem is what kind of pain meds I should ask for. I will make sure I tell the doctor who gives me pain pills cause I don't want a fuss at the pharmacy.
I have had numerous nerve blocks, and muscle injections, with some relief from the nerve pain but no interruption of the basic pain from thoracic to ribs and then to sternum (if I don't sit up in time). I have begun trying to go to sleep sitting up to avoid the onset but it is almost impossible and my tailbone is suffering. As far as someone mentioned, taking sleeping pills to sleep through the pain, my experience is that you will pay the price for not sitting up when you need to.
Also can't forget the on and off nausea and general fatigue that's plagues me. I had a <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>breast augmentation with silicone 4'>breast implants 02/09. I wonder if they're making me sick. My plastic surgeon says "no" but I still wonder d/t the flucuating data. I'm not on any meds, never have been, had my gall bladder removed 2000, but that's about it. Any help or comment would be appreciated.
Since I'm 36 years old, my doctor did not think it was necessary to do a mammogram when I complained of pain in the past. Now this pain is persistant in the <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>breast although the intensity of the pain has fluctuated from week to week. During this same time period, I started getting persistant pains in and around my right shoulder blade area right spine area. So now I'm totally freaking out that I have advanced cancer.
I recently had a <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>breast augmentation performed through a transaxillary incision. When I awoke from the general I had severe right arm pain. I was told by the nurses that the surgeon expected that because he knew he had "knicked a nerve" when my "arm jumped off he table". I am about a week and a half post op and I'm experiencing pretty severe shooting pain from the tips of my ring and pinkie finger to my shoulder when I extend my arm.
I am a healthy 37 year old woman. I had a <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>breast augmentation 3 months ago. Before surgery I told my doctor that I felt like I had an upper respiratory infection. He did blood work and said I was fine. After surgery is when all my problems started. I had a constant tingling feeling in the back of my head for months, I had problems swallowing to the point that I did not eat for a week and a half. I would just slowly drink water.
you must be against fake <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>breast because you very wrong i recently have <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>breast augmentation from a small b to a small d i love them they look and feel real the pain is minimum after 4 or 5 days i was back to my normal routine if anything the worst adjustment is no 4'>underwire or push up bras the first few months! newbie2b i would say go for it i did it to love my body and it worked it instantly boosted my confidence and happiness!
Thats alot of shrinking!! I dont like feeling as though I am choosing brain surgery as I would <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>breast augmentation or lipo. What are the chances if left alone this will not progress and will hang right where it is? If left as it is will it cause worse symptoms with nerve damage.(I already have numbness in my face, my hands falling asleep) happily for the last few days the headaches are much better. I am really trying to get thru the holidays before I do anything.

Worse recently.

I am going to mention to my ob again about the chest/rib pain - I know rib pain is common but I had <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>breast augmentation done 2 years ago - with the incision 4'>under the <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>breast - so I am thinking the scar tissue is pulling and tugging.... which 4'>hurts like heck - not to mention I believe each boob weighs 10lbs ..... Feel better!
It's basically precancerous cells that could be approaching cancer. The oncologist will be the one to decide. If you have any relatives who have had <span style = 'background-color: #dae8f4'>breast cancer, your health, ect will play a part in what the oncologist decides. The treatment is your choice, it's always your choice.
I'll have to mention it to the pain clinic. I know I have nerve pain but even when I get good pain relief there's always a certain area that nothing ever touches.
im 16 years of age. My 4'>breasts started to hurt today. I don't know what its from... help meeee!!
