I've had chronic, severe nausea for the past year and I can't take it anymore. I get nauseated after everything I eat. It doesn't matter what. I can't even have breakfast anymore (I went from eating solids to drinking liquids, and now I can't eat anything at all). Sometimes I feel like I'm not even hungry, and other times I feel horribly hungry. I can only have small meals now and I can't have dairy or bread.
I have been taking lamotrigene (the generic for lamictal) for about 10 years. It is an epileptic medication for seizures that is used, as my psych. says, as a mood leveler. It doesn't react to seritonin or anything. it helped take the edginess away for me - but i did put up with blurred vision which i didn't realize was a side effect for years. Went off it last month to see if vision cleared but it was negligible....i take other meds that can cause that too.
My doctor recently put me on Paxil for my anxiety and Panic Attacks. I am 21 years old and have never been the type to take perscription drugs or otc drugs for that matter, so I'm not big on side effects and all that. I have been taking paxil for 4 days now and on day two I realized that I was yawning so much that my jaw was starting to hurt (yawn) I cant stop. Im really really tired and the yawning is getting quite annoying. Is this normal and when does It usually stop?
Of course, nothing is going to totally take away the depression and anxiety that we feel everyday except for our own minds. I feel that after 41 years of dealing with this depression and anxiety, there is no way to really conquer it besides getting our own thoughts under control. I have been able to talk myself out of a lot of negative thoughts since being on this medication. Might be worth a try for you... and others out there dealing with these same problems. I am severely allergic to SSRI's. I don't want to take an MAO Inhibitor because of the dietary restrictions. Is there any medicine I can take for depression other than SSRI's or MAO Inhibitors?
so i started developing this actions about maybe 5 years maybe ive had them longer theres alot like i have something i just found out what it was called globus hysterics and i bite my nails alot and 2 years ago i started picking at my head and scabs that i have i dont have dry skin or dry scalp i pick and pick and pick so much it bleeds on my head i do it more when im mad or stressed or anxious it never heals and now i started doing it to my belly button its so weird i cannot stop i try for
At the time I was taking Nefazodone and recently weaned off of that. I was on 50 mg Z for 3 weeks and was bumped up to 75 mg one week ago. My anxiety has been bad so I am taking klonopin for that. I'm not doing well emotionally and thought the zoloft would work by now since it's been a full month. I also have no desire to even try sexual activity because I know it's not going to be good with the zoloft. My doctor suggested adding 150 mg Wellbutrin.

I had been on Zoloft for 15 years, first on 100, then 50 for the last 7 years. 50 mg wasn't working as well for me anymore, and I wanted to try to switch my meds anyway to improve my sex life. Well, after a rollercoaster of a year where I tried Wellbutrin first, then Nefazodone, then falling into a very deep depression I realized that I really do need to be on Zoloft. The other pills didn't really help my drive, but they did make sex more pleasurable and had quicker/easier orgasms.
I had been a daily smoker (2-3 times a day of high grade MJ) for the past 4 years. I loved it until I started to experience anxiety and paranoia when I would smoke. So, I decided to go cold turkey. I also just ended a pretty toxic relationship at the same time. I thought it was best to go on a anxiety meds. I used Effexor and was on it for 10 years. it is for generalized anxiety disorder. I worked really well for me. I used the Xanax when I feel extremely panicky.
go for counseling, talk and vent as much as possible in a safe environment, go to alanon, exercise, eat healthy, make sure you get plenty of rest.
I have taken anxiety medication prior to becoming pregnant but then stopped.. about 2months after stopping the medication I found out I was expecting. Im currently 15 weeks, I find some days are harder then others. I try to stay positive and keep my mind occupied. The first 8 weeks of my pregnancy was extremely tough. I find my anxiety is effecting my blood pressure when I first get to my OB office, I try to relax and breathe threw it.
