Avatar n tn Your symptoms seem to indicate that you are suffering from migraine headaches. One sided headaches with blurry vision, nausea and pain in the neck are all the symptoms of migraine. Migraine is a vascular headache. Memory issues could be related to your anxiety and sleep deprivation. I would suggest you to discuss this possibility with your neurologist as you may need to take medications to prevent these headaches. Take care!

703821 tn?1231722095 You may have a cranial nerve palsy--perhaps a 3rd, 4th, or 6th nerve causing double vision. If the double vision is horizontal--side by side--and is worse in the distance than up close, it is probably a 6th nerve palsy. This can be caused by the brain banging into the 6th nerve at the base of the cranial cavity during the injury but it can also be a harbinger of increased intracranial pressure. You didn't say whether you had an MRI. You may need one.
Avatar m tn Cervical disease can cause vision problems, eye pain, tears, even narrow the field of vision, vision rapidly declining, a small number of patients can cause blindness, known as the neck problem visually impaired. This problem may be caused by sensitive nervous dysfunction, and vertebral - basilar artery insufficiency, affect brain's visual center due to occipital ischemia.
666921 tn?1254990618 I have neck problems. I can tell you that the cervical spine problems can cause pain in the arms, neck, shoulders, clavicles, shouderblade areas, hands. These are the areas the nerves send signals to. So if they are compressed then it causes problems. But....lyme can cause pain anywhere so it's really hard to say. Having more than one problem just adds more confusion. I ended up having unnecessary surgery due to this confusion.
Avatar n tn I'm sorry but I really can't make an anatomical connection between pinched nerve in neck and vision problems. They're not really related. Believe me, there are thousands of problems of the eye itself to cause blurred vision that it doesn't need to have anything to do with neck. Obviously, you are not feeling well and at those times, your sense of vision will suffer, just as you won't want to be around loud noises or do extremely difficult mental work.
Avatar n tn I am at a loss about what has been going on and am wondering if there really is something with me neck that could be causing the vision problems? This discussion is related to Can a pinched nerve cause pressure and vision problems in one eye?.
Avatar f tn Presented with severe headache/eye pain and loss of vision and hot/stiff neck. Was also involved in auto accident day before ER presentation. Was given prednisone for 2 1/2 months along with large doses of Skelaxin. MRI was negative for any lesions, cancer, etc.
Avatar n tn Ive seen an eye doctor and my vision has gotten worse to 20/50 vision. Light or being outside during daylight hurts my eyes and I squint all day. I have very slight astigmatism the doctor says, 1/4 point in my left and 1/2 a point in my right. I had a cat scan in the hospital to find if there was something effecting my eye sight and they didn't find anything. Im on Omeprazole for ulcer and citilopram for anxiety but symptoms were discovered before medication.
Avatar m tn i have also been experiencing blurred vision in both eyes, and dizziness.
Avatar f tn I am a LimboLander with an uncomfortable new symptom--or maybe not a symptom?? I have a stiff neck--and not the kind that you get after you sleep weird--and not like something is "out." It's just this line of pain from my neck dowm my right arm--and up to my jaw--I feel stupid asking because maybe it's just a stiff neck--but I've never had pain like this before and was just wondering if this sounds like something to add to my log of sx or if it seems unrelated.
Avatar f tn Since having my son 5 yrs ago, I have had increasing neck and back pain. I have seen chiropractors and physios to no avail. The pain in my neck is most prevalent right at the base of my skull. There is honestly not a minute in the day when I am not in pain. It has been getting much worse over the last 6 months. I cannot sleep because of the pain. Panadeine forte and neurofen plus help for maybe half an hour.

Avatar f tn Thankyou so much and this does make sense as I have always worked on computers and my neck does always feel stiff. Something I didn't mention was that when I was still working in 2000 a coleague noticed I kept leaning my head to the side and it was discovered that I had double vision (oblique) and although this wasn't investigated I started to have a prism in my glasses quite a large one. It is difficult because it seems to vary as to how tired my eyes feel when I'm being tested.

Avatar n tn I usually post in the addiction forum for pain meds because of my addiction. I have had low back pain for years and that was the start of the pain meds. In December of 07 I fell at work. I slipped on a wet floor and went down like a bag of potatoes. I didn't think I had hurt myself too bad. I was sore and had a bruise on my elbow but that was it. Well January came around and i woke up with a terrible pain in my neck to the point that I couldn't turn it. I went to the dr.
Avatar n tn I had a concussion/memory loss and head, back and neck pain. Everything is starting to feel better, but I also have a pain behind my eye that is persisting. A doctor told me that there is a nerve that was causing the pain. It's been three weeks and no change. I'm following up next week to find out next steps. Have you had any progress?
Avatar f tn What I commonly see is that the pain meds and muscle relaxers for the back pain can cause blurred vision but other problems can definitely be to blame.
Avatar n tn "So, for example, a C5 C6 disc that is herniated will affect the nerves that control the muscles in the shoulders, arms, hands, neck, as well as other areas of the body such as the head, eyes, ears, and thyroid gland. Because of this, if there is any pressure applied to these nerves (whether it be from a herniated disc, or some other condition), it is very common that you will not only experience neck pain, but also symptoms related to these other areas.
Avatar f tn now and just had blood work and it seems the same. But I am having ear pain and vision change within 3 months of last eye check and bad neck and shoulder pain. My question is : could the nodules be in any way related to ear neck shoulder pain????? I forgot to mention the nodules to the GP last week ...she looked at my ear bc of my complaint and said it looked fine. Today they will probably call to tell me my blood tests where normal...
Avatar f tn Since then I have experienced dizziness, changing blurred vision, nausea, and changing right eye pupilalation, pain and sensivity to light/glare. After developing cognitive/memory problems I was sent last October for neuropsych testing and discovered that I do have mild post concussive syndrome that was missed given my brain injury did not show with an MRI at the time of the accident. I have since also been diagnosed with cutaneous lupus, sjogren's and fibromyalgia.
Avatar m tn I am 37. I have been having neck pain and other problems for a while with progression. Have 3 thyroid nodules. Just had neck mri that showed 3 bulging discs, also says I have left formainal stenosis at C5 and C6? Encroachment on spinal cord? Also a 1.5cm hemangioma at c2. I just started trigger point injections. It gets harder everyday to turn my neck and cannot sleep. Feel like my neck and shoulders are always "tense". The pain and headaches are horrible.
