Avatar m tn I am a 48 year old female. I have a problem with total boby tingling upon waking, even my head and face, sometimes feeling like I have been breathing too shallow. This has been happening for about one yr. I occassionally have tingling throughtout the day in my legs, arms, and scalp. I spoke to my pcp about this problem and he said "That doesn't make since" and changed the subject. When sleeping I periodically wake with an arm, leg, or my side tingling.
Avatar n tn You may want to investigate yourself by taking your blood pressure upon waking up and see if this becomes elevated, as well as your heart rate. Regards.

728965 tn?1266373645 I have noticed lately that I have extreme pain and numbness in my arms and hands and wrists upon waking. Its almost like I have slept on them wrong, but have not. This is sometimes in one arm, and sometimes in both. The pain last for upon to 2 hours after waking. On a scale of 1 to 10 of pain, it usually is a 8 or 9... Has anyone else had this, and any tips to get rid of the feeling sooner then 2 hours? It gets so bad that I'm a clumsy idiot all morning.
Avatar f tn Sorry to hear of your rib pain probelms, but I have a few questions. Have you seen a doctor for this pain? Have any tests been done? Sorry I can't answer your question, maybe someone else on here has a simular probelm. Wish you the best of luck!
Avatar m tn I recently injured my lower back moving boxes in our garage and was seen by a doctor who prscribed prednisone and zanaflex to treat an accute muscle spasm. My lower back is getting better but today I started experiencing pain in my neck. Barely touching the skin causes me pain. It's almost like pushing on a fresh bruise. I brushed it off as I do most medical concerns and took a zanaflex and a nap. Upon waking I realized that my face is beginning to become sensitve to touch as well.
Avatar n tn I have also been have pain in the back of my head and neck, pain in my back on the left side under sholder blade, stomach problems, a spasm feeling in the center of chest that radiates to throat and neck, (feels like a pulling sensation of my neck and twisting sensation in center of chest) arm numbness when waking, muscle or bone pain, and weakness in legs. I also feel lightheaded and dizzy at times.
Avatar f tn ve been receiving therapy for it and its gotten seemingly better since the Vitamin D treatment but there was never an explanation for it. Also, I was diagnosed with Myofascial Pain Disorder during my neck period because I was also having TMJ. I just don't see how any of this is connected but I feel like there is no WAY someone my age can just have that many health problems.
Avatar n tn Pain around my bottom of shoulder blade for over 6 months. Stiff upon waking up, some days it goes away but most days it stays. Sitting up, without back support, can be a pain. Laying down or laying propped up, hurts. Let me give an example: I can be propped up, reading a book, holding a book in my left hand, puts me in so much pain in this area. When I turn my back from side to side, it hurts. I do get a lot of muscle strains in this area as well. The pain is always there.
Avatar m tn My more recent problems involve muscle pains throughout my body. My back, neck, arm, or chest muscles can be extremely sore or have sharp pain upon waking. These can be quite severe at times, sometimes my neck muscles hurt so badly that I can't turn my head a certain way for hours after waking. Just in the last couple weeks I've been getting what feels like heart pain on the left/central part of my chest.
7746843 tn?1393860175 I wake up at least 3 times throughout. I have been noticing a change in my mornings for the past 2 weeks or so. When upon waking up my heart feels like its pounding/racing at the same time. I thought it was just my imagination but one morning my boyfriend put his head up to my chest and made a comment without me asking to listen to my heart. I also feel like my body is extremely tense throughout the night and upon waking up.
Avatar n tn I too experience pain in my "kidney are" upon waking. Throughout the week I get minimal sleep; five hours maximum, and waking with NO pain, but when the weekend comes, and I am sleeping more than that is when I experience this horrible pain. So, I know for a fact that the pain is directly related to sleep (for me). I first went to my MD, and was told that it is muskuloskeletal, and that Motrin should help. No dice.
Avatar m tn It involves aches and pains throughout the entire body usually but with specific tender spots like in the neck. Now, I have a neck point that is not fibromyalgia but rather just my tension spot as I call it that as the day builds, it will start to ache or if I'm stressed or fatigued. So, that is what is hard about fibromyalgia in that there are other reasons often for the same things. So, it is usually a combination of things that would result in the diagnosis.
