The only relief I received was when I was given dilauded IV. I have a history of severe neck pain after a migraine attack and it sometimes triggers yet another migraine if I don't treat the neck pain. My history with narcotics is limited to a few surgeries I have had in the past. But with every time I've needed something narcotic, my doctor has had to "play" with what I get because I seem to have a "tolerance" which makes me have to get stronger meds.
Thanks, but as I said, my Neurologist and Dermotologist both attribute it to my compressed nerves in neck. I could itch myself to the bone with no relief, in fact, itching makes it even worse. Yes, I’ve tried a Chirioractor and acupuncture to no avail. Now they’re suggesting a $400+ cream. A tube only big enough to use about five times! I’m on Medicare with no drug coverage, but this compounded RX would be excluded anyway! Can’t do it. I thank you for your input.
I tripped on the sidewalk while running four days ago and fell hard on my knees, hands and the right side of my face. My lingering pain is behind my left ear down the left side of my neck. It is a constant pain. I think I tensed up as I fell and maybe pulled a muscle. Is it even possible to pull a muscle there? I've been taking ibuprofen. I tried holding a heating pad on my neck last night but it didn't do any good. Is ibuprofen the best remedy?
over the years i guess i have developed a high tolerance to pain meds nothing helps. i do not like taking RX pain meds due to i have 2 very active childern and i dont want to miss a minute of there lives. i do not sleep at night because when i roll over and lay on my arm i wake up hurting. am i'm the only one that has this issue? is there others like me? how do they cope? is there any relief?
