Neck pain joints

Common Questions and Answers about Neck pain joints

pain

For the last few years, I've had pain in all my joints.. Not unbearable pain, just a small aching pain. Over the years it has gotten worse, all my joints crack, I'm not forcing them to crack, they just do.. If I move a certain way, they crack. My toes, ankles, knees, hips (my hips are the most painful when they crack), lower back, upper back, neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, fingers.... I do crack my knuckles out of habit, but they don't bother me as much as my other joints.

I have many muscle/joint symptoms, as well. Neck and upper back pain, left foot burns, tennis elbow. I get massages every other week for the neck, and use arnica gel to deaden the muscle pain. It works, but has alcohol in it and so I don't know if I should be using it. I don't eat much red meat, but I'll try to pay attention to relationship of diet to the pain. Typing on the computer hurts my hands, forearms and elbows.

Hi- I also have similar symtoms. I have Joint Pain in my fingers, wrists, elbows, shoulders, knees ankles, neck and sometimes hips. I also experience stiffness, and pain in the muscles surrounding my joints. I had all the tests run for Lupus, RA, Lyme Disease , Vitamin D deficiency and they all came back negetive. I changed doctors and am having her do all the tests again ( just in case). She also indicated that it could be a thyroid issue or an unseen infection.
I now have tremor in my left leg, short term memory loss, lack of concentration, and slight tremor starting in right side. The most debilatating symptom is severe pain in all my joints which started when the tremor had gotten a little better with the medication. I have to take Tylenol three to combat the pain. I cannot seem to do anything physical eg:Gardening which I love, without initiating the pain.

I am 49 and have menopause symtoms such as hot flashes and fatigue. I also have severe pain & acheness all over like you feel when you are coming down with an illness. My hands, knees, neck, feet joints all feel weak and loose like. It is hard to function at all. This comes and goes throughout the day. Advil helps for a while. When I wake up I am so stiff I can hardly move but this does get better during the day. I have seen 3 doctors who all say this is not normal for menopause.
(. And I'm only 38! My joint pain (and emotional pain over other things, I'll admit) was one of the reasons I became dependent on narcotic pain pills. It got so bad that I couldn't possibly get enough meds to function, so I got on methadone. I would love to get off, the sx are killer- weight gain, fatigue, mental fog- and it's confusing cuz some of those syptoms could be from the Hep C.
ortho recommanded that i go swimming and problem will be solve but it didnt and I get more stiff each day especially at the neck, shoulders, arm joints and joints in knees and ankle. Is there a cure?
The last two weeks I have had pain in all my joints all over my body.(ankles, hands, feets, knees etc.) It is so painful It hurt to walk to stand. I can hear my bones cracking. I can not sleep when I lay down my left arm go to sleep and my fingers turn cold and heavy. My whole body feel like a rock. I turn all night trying to sleep. Most nights I feel like I am having a heart attack or stoke.
It seemed to start as a pain in the back of my head/upper neck. I took some migraine medication and went to bed. The next day my neck was stiff and could barely move, and stayed like that for 3 days, though it has gained back some of its mobility, but not all, and still hurts to turn.
I've been doing so well on Levaquin for 30 days. Infact, I've been feeling great! Last week, I began having pain in joints and neck. I know Levaquin can cause this, but so can Lyme. I'm not sure if I should stop taking the Levaquin now, wait and call my doctor on Monday, or try something else first? My doctor is not a Lyme doctor. He has no knowledge of Lyme, doesn't care to learn about it and doesn't believe I have Lyme, but is helping me, anyway.....long story.

For about 3 months I have had a lot of pain in my neck. When I turn my head to the left, I can feel the joints "click, click". Then when I turn my head back, it clicks back, Both movements are painful. I have been to the chiropractor and for massage therapy. Is this a pain management problem? a disc problem? a surgical problem? I work at office work and at a computer. Thanks for any help.

I started off with neck pain that migrated to lower back pain, that migrated to left hip pain, and now I have neck stiffness with left breast pain. The left breast pain is a new symptom that started about 3 weeks ago, but they were mild darting pain thats comes intermittently, but now the pain is a little more constant. So what could be going on with me?
I had it done and it is amazing how much it has helped. Gone from taking megadoses of pain killers for the neck and shoulder/back pain to letting my almost full bottle of pain killers expire. The nerves do grow back but hopefully the protrusion has receded enough to not be afecting the spine/nerves. ALSO, found that this pain is not uncommon for those bending down to read the computer screen for hours on end. Hope this helps.
I have been under observation for thoracic outlet syndrom or carpel tunnel syndrome, but I have constant pain in the joints in my neck, pain between the shoulder blades and pain in my left shoulder, ache and stinging, and both hands go numb, more at night but also in the day. I have had two car accidents, but I also work at a keyboard all day. I can understand the numbness and tingling, but I don't understand why I would have a red hot thumb which lasted about ten to fifteen minutes.
I have had persistent low back and neck pain, neck being most severe, have had many sessions of physio, massage, acupuncture, chronic pain management program, Canadian Back Institute...Recently had an MRI, would appreciate any clarification or understanding: MRI C Spine, multiplanar, multisequence imaging obtained through C spine. Findings: C3-4, small posterior central disc herniation with no significant effect. Central spinal canal and neural foramina appear patent.
On her own, she got off some of her medications and healed 100%. I recently got off of pain meds and began having extreme pain in my shoulder blades and neck. Because of my MinLaw, I looked at what medications I was still on. Protonix, a proton pump inhibitor, causes muscle pain and bone weakness in a few patients. So I decided to switch to another acid reducer. I started getting better the next day.
I appreciate the reply but what makes you say so? Any thing to back it up. Has anyone heard of joint pain/neck stiffness due to HIV?
I ignore them since they are generally not painful, but now that I am nearly 40, my hips also click and snap, as does my lower back and long hikes can leave me limping dramatically from pain in the back of my ankles. Even running up a flight of steps can cause the ankles to go "out". I have always run stairs not walked them, not wise but a habit. I can no longer stretch my legs fully without stinging on the sides of my knees.
5/10 and grew to 5.5/10). It's symmetrical, and in my neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, finger joints, knees, ankles, and one of my big toes. My elbows hurt if I squeeze them gently, same with my finger joints - I actually noticed that with my finger joints about a month ago when I was fingerprinted and the woman doing it squeezed the joints. It was so bad that I had to ask her to give me a breather multiple times. I also have some weakness in my fingers and elbows.
