Avatar f tn Muscle-contraction (tension) headache is the most common form of headache. It typically results in pain on both sides of the forehead and sometimes in the neck as well. The temporalis muscle, located in the forehead and to some extent around behind the ear, is the muscle group that postures your lower jaw. It has been estimated that 75 percent of all headaches are caused by muscle tension, which may be related to the bite.
Avatar m tn I have GERDS, Barretts esophagus, and I suffer from Anxiety disorder, but I never had pains in my arms. I do have a few bad disk in my neck and lower back, but I think the pain would have showed up alot sooner, but I'm not a doctor. I haven't changed any my my medications . So I'm lost at what might be causing these pains. I told my doctor about it and he said, just take some Motrin 600mg. I have tried it and still have the pains in the morning. Anyone have any ideas ?
15290790 tn?1440708475 ve experimented with a gel blanket of ice , when applied to frontal lobe it helps a little, when applied at neck it burns plus increases the pain frequency in my head. Laying down, sitting up, walking, running or swimming, or breathing exercises do nothing, it only pisses off the serpent even more. Slapping, beating, knocking my head up against the wall, or jamming my finger in the corner of my eye, was senseless. Eating cleaner, juicing, colon cleansing etc..
1187071 tn?1279369698 This is a thought that goes thru my head every single morning well I have one or the other. When I am not on meds, I wake up and first thing I feel is pain, and all I can think is why do I have to wake up like this every single morning? why can't I wake up with the sun shining in my room the birds singing and my kids brining me breakfast in bed, ok I went to far on that (I can wish right?
Avatar m tn The trauma happened 14 years ago, on a Sunday morning, when I was doing routine wrestling exercises. Sharp pain in the neck almost as if the muscles "clinched" and never quite let go. During many years of useless physical therapies doctors discovered that I had a congenetical birth defect, where the C6 and C7 are fused - they suggested that this fusion is causing me persistent pain.
Avatar f tn I have done a back surgery but now I been having this grinding noise in my neck everytime I move it. Also I been having problem for sleep. I weak up in a morning with my neck stiff and a lot a pressure in my shoulder. It got to the point that I can even use my Kevlar or Helmet. Everytime I use my helmet I feel like I getting punishment because the pressure and kind of pain I get in my neck. I talk with my doctor and he tell me that look like I got arthritis.
Avatar n tn I woke-up one morning with horrible neck pain, and a few days later a huge Calcium deposit popped out in the front of my neck. Went for x-rays, and thats what they said it is, but none of my doctors have any advice except if it hurts real bad I can get it surgically scraped. If you know someone or have had this problem, I would love some input on this.
Avatar n tn I was extremely lucky and have no paralysis. I am however now experiencing great pain in my neck and shoulder with numbness in my right thumb. Any advise would be gratly appreciated. I have an appointment with the neurologist in 3 weeks. I am also seeing a massage therapist but the massage helps for a little while and then the pain returns.
Avatar f tn For years now i've had a pain at the base of my neck on the right side, it hurts if I apply slight pressure, I suffer from headaches, which if left almost always turns into a migraine but they always start at this point in my neck, it feels like a small lump, if I apply pressure to it & deep massage it it hurts like hell but does slightly ease the pain, could this be a tension knot? If anyone could help it would be much appreciated!
Avatar f tn For the last 7-8 months, Ive been experiencing inner ear pain (below the earlobe, down the side of the neck - which is quite severe), and neck pain, at the front of my throat along the right side of my windpipe. At first, I thought it was my thyroid - so I had it checked and it was fine. My GP of course, made me feel like I was out of my mind and told me to take vitamins.
Avatar f tn Around December of last year I started getting pain in my neck. I started getting muscle spasms and they were awful. My dr gave me naproxen and muscle relaxers. The naproxen did nothing but the muscle relaxers were my life saver. After a few months, it has simmered down and I am able to sleep again without pills. I had a ct scan and it told me that I have problems with 4 out of the 7 vertebrae and also a pinched nerve in my neck.
1383825 tn?1315232262 I even shelled out $$$ for a deep tissue massage my neck hurt so bad. The massage helped a lot, but then today, the pain was back. In a different spot on my upper back. Do you know if this could be from detox? Oh and if anyone else has this problem, I ve also found relief from a back massager - you press it into the tight spot and get some relief from the pain. I 'lll do anything to keep from taking vicodin. That's my plan!!!
Avatar n tn Thank you Sue for your feedback. I actually did feel much better after taking methamazole too. Have been taking it for about a month and 1/2. Big improvement, this is why this pain confused me and did not know where it came from out of no where. I do have a goiter that was big enough to notice, since taking methamazole though it has decreased in size considerably. Maybe the pain is coming from that. Or maybe it is getting bigger again..don;t know.
Avatar n tn I can relate to the brain fog. I also have that same pain in my neck. Drs say its nerve pain and just started me on lyrica. Im set to be decompressed in 16 days. I hope it helps.
484267 tn?1239037973 I have also experienced pain in the glands under the chin on each side of the neck at the same time I had the light pain in the armpit, I am so glad I started reading this forum, I was going through misery with muscle aches and cramps, I read that some Hashi's took Vitamin D and Magnesium, I started taking them three days ago and I have marked improvement already, I still have the stiff and sore neck but it is not as bad as it was. Thanks Again!
2004043 tn?1334324019 I needed pain meds to just sleep it did not help w the pain?? And it seems to be following me in to this week along w the normal prolonged numbness, trouble talking and that felling of “I think I’m going to faint” so please pray for some solid answers and a plan of action.
Avatar f tn I am going through the same thing right now. It isn't constant throughout the day, but in the morning it is sore and by the end of the day I don't even want to turn my head. My pain extends down all the way to my lower back, but always starts at the neck. I have not been diagnosed with MS though. I am in the beginning stages and have just had dr's suspect MS. Let me know if you find anything to relieve it.
