My husband hurt his shoulder working it is around his left shoulder blade the pain is raidating down his arm and is making his hand numb.
I am a Licensed Massage Therapist. Is your Pain down the side of your arm or down the back by your scaps? I highly recommend that after your first trimester that you go see a massage therapist and a chiropractor. Both are very safe for pregnancy and will help tremendously. Don't use bio freeze right now. Instead use moist heat NOT A HEATING PAD.... instead use a rice pack. The moist heat will penetrate copper into the muscle. Then every 15 min alternate it with a cold compress.
I have suffered from cluster migraine for years BUT this is different.
A week and a half ago I developed severe pain in my left shoulder close to the top. The pain has generated up to the back of my neck and radiates down my left arm. I can't lie down or sit without it causing me grief. I have been taking codeine and paracetamol to get me through but not helping. I will only take it at night to help me sleep but not helping.
I have been having pain in my left arm that has now spread to my breast & upper neck & back. The pain runs down my arm. What can be the cause of this?
It occurred 7 years ago, and am still recovering. The pain from my neck to my finger tips can be terrible on some days. Fortunately, the surgery itself was not invasive. Small cut at the neck line, that is barely noticeable now. Recovery wasn't bad either, except for the pain in the arm. The surgeon did tell me, and continues to tell me, "it was nothing he did!" Thus, I don't know what happened! ;-( Drill the doctor with as many questions as you can.

I don't see an actual question in your post so I won't try to guess what it may be. If you do have a specific question please feel free to ask it. ..... And please provide a bit more info. How long has this been going on? Again, which arm?
This could be a shoulder problem or a spinal structure issue.
I would get sharp and shooting pains that went from my neck all the way down my shoulder and down my arm and through my right thumb and forefinger. The sensation is like if you put your arm on an electrified fence and held it there.
If the pain gets exceedingly worse, it would be time to go see a neurologist or someone who specializes in spinal injuries or surgery.
Went to emergency with severe pain in right shoulder, up into the neck and down the right arm (woke up with it). Have been on 500 mg. Naproxen , twice daily, for 3 weeks, and 10 mg. Pms-cyclobenzaprine every 8 hours. I'm still experiencing pain plus some new tingling down the arm. Should I be going back to my doctor? It seems this is taking an unusually long time to get better.
It felt like I hade a crick in it from sleeping on it wrong, but I was at Walmart when I started experiencing the pain. It got worse that night. The pain then started going down to my shoulders. When I laid down in my normal sleeping position, on my left side with my arm under my pillow, I couldn't put my arm under my pillow because the pain was so bad.. It was throbbing, burning, radiating pain through my neck, shoulder, & left arm. The next today it became worse.. Much worse.

I started with neck pain and know the pain has moved down my arm all the way to my hand. Nothing has helped and the pain is gettting worse.
I have a shooting pain going down my arm all the way to my fingers, and my fingers are starting to go numb. The pain is 24/7, it hurts so much and nothing will help, tried heating pads, hot showers and alot of aspirin. Starting when I was a child I would, and still do, get a pain that radiates down my left arm. When I was younger, I would tell the doctor's that my arm couldn't breathe. I have been wearing bite guard for last year and it got better but started hurting again this week really bad and having spasms in jaw and now my neck is killing me on the left side. Pain is going up the left side of neck and down left shoulder into arm. Have not had chance to go to doctor yet but am wondering if anyone with cervical disc problems has ever had it to affect temple and jaw area of face??? Am thinking maybe this isn't TMJ at all....

For sometime now I have been having what I think is tension headaches. Pain in my left arm down my forearm and wrist. Lightheadness. It seems to be worse when I'm constipated and have gas. Not sure if it a problem with digestive system? I felt really tired the last few days with it also.
A few months ago, I was stopped dead in my tracks (was leaving work, simply walking to my car)with this horrendous pain under my left shoulder balde. I keep having a sharp pain that runs down the BACK of my left arm. I went to my doctor and he gave me a EKG and a stress test and everything came back normal. He said, he had no idea what was causing this pain. I don't have it all the time, it comes and goes. I could be sitting watching TV and get it. I get a burning/pinching in the right side of my lower neck, and when I broke my arm recently, had to use the computer in a different arm position due to my splint. Suddenly the burning/pinching in the neck went away, only to come back when the splint was removed. It was clearly from pushing repeatedly and having to click hard in some applications I use over and over. I wouldn't have suspected this for sure except that it changed when my arm position and finger use were forced to change.
Took bone from my hip, and basically screwed and glued my neck. Now at the time I had no feeling in my left arm and immediately the next morning I saw an immediate difference. I took off a month from work having 3 disks repaired and went back to work. Getting over the surgery really takes about a year. Some trouble off and on but rubbing the shoulders works great. I was serious scared to death about going via my throat but it made sense when I checked how its done.
